News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

To put things into perspective, the Western world is in the proccess of self-anihilation.
Blindly arguing for something in the interest of "protecting woman's rights" without first looking at the issue at hand is called blind ideology and it isn't a healthy way to conduct a society.

So people are not going to stop, just because it's illegal.

That could be said about a lot of things, doesn't make them morally sound though and it certainly doesn't mean that there's no point in discussing them.

Abortion is convenient, that's why its widespread. Back in the day we used to place unwanted kids out in the woods for wolves to eat. It's much cleaner and clinical these days, but its essentially the same thing. You can rationalize that the not fully developed baby doesn't has any feelings/thoughts/whatever yet, so what? A born baby doesn't possess all things a grown human being have either, but yet the law considers them persons with rights even though they are lacking in some areas.

Life / Polands new immigrants from the West. [36]

The whole system relied on deflation in order to combat the rampant income tax evasion

It worked for them for decades, it is all that counts. Then, they got lured into euro currency.
You cannot suddenly convince a Polish person to call himself European first. I suppose the same applies to Greeks as well, and most citizens in European countries. Most people are not nationalistic but they do have a sense of national identity. And when you try to suppress it, you get nationalism.

When you see countries like Belgium striving to stay one piece because of their languages, what are you actually thinking? That you can make a peaceful nation out of so many different and unequal countries, with 15-20 different languages? I think they are forcing things too much, too early. And it became very obvious during the last years.

But hey, the financial agenda keeps going. Lets have a crisis and then ask for a unification, it's an old trick. And if it doesn't work now, no problem. We'll have another crisis in some years. Maybe then it will work.

Maybe Goldman Sachs and their wealthy US-educated politician friends are hiding the debts of another unrully EU member, just like they did with Greece. Stay tuned folks.

Lol, no it's because they're in a trap - hoping for a bailout (read: central bank buying debt), but in actual real policy they should never had surrendered the ability to 'print' currency. Now they've no choice since the time to discard the single currency and turn on the inflation was before their crisis battered the credit to sh!t. And no European power (and their puppets in Greece) wants the waves of a country breaking the Euro

They'll bail out because the EU smells the blood of the union.
What did they expect? A single currency without a functional central bank? It's only their (impossible) 'austerity' fantasies that hopes for a payback of the credit before the actual economy is cratered holding them back now

What's happening in Greece is the slash and burn of the future prospects of an entire nation.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

Do you consider a fetus not to have human personhood before brain function? and after the fetus has brain function the beginning of human personhood?

Life begins at conception. It is a simple scientific and logical understanding. If you want to embrace some insane and overdeluded notion that it begins at 3 weeks, 3 months, or whatever, then do me a favor: go back in time and make your mother abort you.

Read about the procedure. Look at pictures. Abortion is inhuman and disgusting for anyone that isn't a psychopath. No matter the excuse used to justify it, it is exactly that.

That said, there are some circumstances where it is *Understandable* why someone would choose it. Rape, and extreme risk to the mother are two scenarios where I could understand the choice. Being too young or 'not ready' to have children simply is not.

I find it hilarious that people would want someone who kills a pregnant woman charged with twio murders yet somehow think abortion is -aok. The logic there just doesn't make sense.

There is a simply way to avoid having unwanted chidlren. Stop having unprotected sex. This is 2012, there are plenty of ways to avoid such a scenario.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

abortion appears to breed narcissism -- I matter more then you. I being the mother, you the child. I being society, you the mother. abortion is thus a symptom of disfunction, and the reason why pro-lifers will always be unsuccessful: they are not treating the root of the issue.

I think this is a clear result of the stupid idea that genders are equal. Women bear children. Don't know what else can be said about that, I mean, that's just the way it is so yes they alone have a responsibility to bear a healthy child while said child is in their womb. If men could get pregnant then I'd say the same. What is this line? Is it unreasonable to expect a parent to be responsible? I'm all for going after dead beat men, in many ways they're the most to blame for all these problems, but it doesn't mean a child has to suffer.

Using abortion as an anticonceptional method is both barbaric and idiotic. This should be a non-issue. You don't need to try to bring in your sick moral relativism in order to justify the murder of an infant. With the the infinity of contraceptive methods arounds("natural" or otherwise), why do you even need abortion?

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

There may be instances where abortion may be permitted, but as a general rule it is an immoral act and one that is specifically forbidden by God. Liberals will often cite the exception upon which abortion may be permissible as a way to pave the way for a complete normalization of the practice, so that one could get an abortion purely out of personal whim, without any moral consequence of any kind.

That is generally the underlying problem when a liberal or "progressive" ideal crosses path with a religious principle.

Take euthanasia for instance. The problem with the idea of euthanasia is that the way it is argued by liberals seems almost as if they want to "normalize" murder in the name of individual "suffering". Obviously, once you legalize euthanasia for extreme cases, it wouldn't take long before liberals will start arguing suicide is a "human right".

Greece is like this Monkey cought with fist in cookie jar, only way out for them is to leave the Euro and propably EU but they're too addicted to easy life to try the hard and risky way. Not that Austerity from Brussels will be comfy as Greece is testing ground in how to change your society from Market Social Economy to Debt slavery for all.

History / Communist memorials in Poland [50]

Both of my parents, as well as grandparents, had only positive things to say about it.

Oh wow, Jew using a "Szlachcic" (nobleman) nick. How quaint.
Now I get why it was "good times" for you.

History / Communist memorials in Poland [50]

Ah, those were the very good times!

A real shame the youth of today fall for all this negative propaganda about communism

Obviously Szlachcic doesn't have anybody in Family who had the "plesure" of living through Soviet Ocupation of Eastern Poland during 1939-41. During only 2 years Soviets led by Jews managed to kill 1/3 of Ethic Poles war wictim.... Having only half of country to rule over. Anything good about Communism came after 1956 when Polish Communist with Nationalist bend like Gomulka (who was imprisoned by Stalin for being too Polish) took over and kicked out Jews from Party and State Security. Not to mention Anti Polish policy is pan German phenomen dating back to Tuetonic Order and Bismarck and mayority of victims could be averted if Poland had the brain to not ally itself with Decadent and Treacherous countries like UK and France. Just compare victims in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia... all Slav countries which should be in theory be targeted by genocide as well... except they weren't former having brain to surrender latter being Axis allies of III Reich. Nobody is blaming Hungarians for this now... Heck nobody blames Soviet Union/Russia looks like Poland was again outjewed.

Best cars are made by Germans, closely followed by Japanese.
American cars - guss guzlers, too big to fit most of the parking spaces, and very difficult to find spare parts for them.

Life / Why are Poles always so miserable? Why do they never smile? [512]

Smiling in Poland actually means something, is is not just a mask you put on every day, without any emotion behind it... Mostly I am looking at you, Americans, but most of the West is infected as well, - the obligatory good mood in US can get very creapy: "How are you", "Great!" - even if I know that her dog just died this morning. It freaks me out. On the other hand, this "friendliness" can be shown only on the most superfical level, as apearently even hugging is verboten in Amerika:

UK Smile Police strikes!
Man arrested for not smiling during the olympic games

I cannot believe it....

guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/aug/08/olympics-spectator-parkinsons-arrest-smiling

Western enthusiastic extrovert mafia strikes again.

Mark Worsfold, 54, a former soldier and martial arts instructor, was arrested on 28 July for a breach of the peace shortly before the cyclists arrived in Redhouse Park, Leatherhead, where he had sat down on a wall to watch the race. Officers from Surrey police restrained and handcuffed him and took him to Reigate police station, saying his behaviour had "caused concern"

"It could have been done better. I was arrested for not smiling. I have Parkinson's," he said, adding that he realised the officers were working long hours and trying to control the event properly, but they had not, in his case, acted correctly. He said he did not want to make further comment until he received a response from Surrey police

Ugh, what kind of man takes this kind of authority abuse like this? Say what you will about the USA, the average American would sue the sh!t out of the police force and make a fuzz in a case like this. An arrest and two hours of questioning after the man clearly stated that he has facial paralysis and can't smile?

Should even matter if he has Parkinsons or not? You need to smile or the cops'll arrest you now? Great Britain indeed.

Generally, I don't smile unless I have a reason for it. That is meeting someone I like a lot or someone saying something funny or something like that. Damn, I'm starting to appreciate our ever-frowning supermarket cashiers.

Someone should register introverts as a race and start calling the fetishists of an enthusiasm racists.

Life / What's wrong with Poland? I don't see anything. [121]

Unlike some people on here, I'm never going to encourage Poland to take in millions of Africans, just because the EUSSR says so.

Look, I did not have any problems with immigrants while they kept to some far away, sh!tty places, like Warsaw. But when some goddamn pakis start showing up in my neighbourhood, it changes the matter significantly. I can already imagine some paki' getho growing up all around me.

Life / What's wrong with Poland? I don't see anything. [121]

What is wrong with Poland? The answer is simple - imigrants.
I don't care about hard working immigrants, many of them might be cool. The biggest problem are the arabs/pakis. My neighbourhood was 100% clear of any foreigners until like a year ago when two black guys moved in to an really old house near to where I used to live. They got bullied and moved out after a month. Now I noticed some goddamn pakis in the area. Whats funny, it wasn't a single dude I noticed, it was instantly a pack of them, like 5 or 6. They do nothing all day but sit outside, play cards, drink beer and shout in their god damned language. Sure, it's no biggie, they might get bullied by the local bydlo and leave like the blacks did but I think this is the beginning of the end. First it's an occasional black dude on the street (who is often well educated and does respectable job), everything is good. But then more join in, the first immigrant neighbourhood forms, they start living amongst themselves. This is the point of no return. They start living amongst themselves and the smart and respected indivuduals become the minority. What we get is the spread of arabs/blacks, like cancer, who turn to sh!t everything they touch. I don't know what is the cause of it. Why when they live amongst us they can be really respectable people but when they start living amongst themselves they become scum that destroys a nation from within

Food / What's more popular in Poland beer or vodka? [55]

Do you know... alcoholics brain actually shrinks!

Said effect is much more prominent with women. For a man, he would have to live several hundred years, to notice any effect.
The fact is, one needs to get drunk at least twice a week, in order to deal with day to day stresses. Stress can damage your brain more then any alcohol.

Once, I did consider the switch to Marihuana, but it appears tha marijuana is in fact "testosterone killer" that will turn you into a eunuch in no time.

That is how I found out about the need to keep your testosterone levels high.
The Vodka seems to be the most healthy solution. I guess the Whisky, or Sake, would be a valid alternative, but the good brands, the ones that taste any good, are way too expensive in Poland, to be drunk on day-to-day basis.

Food / What's more popular in Poland beer or vodka? [55]

Vodka contains no hop.

Exactly.
While any alcohol does reduce testosterone level a little, it is negligible amount, if compared to the side effects of hops in your typical beer. Contrary to the alcohol in Vodka, hops are not just recucing the testosterone level, they actually convert it into estrogen(!), and that is much harder (if not impossible) to counteract - that is the cause of the man-tits, and many more serious troubles.

On the other hand, the loss of testosterone caused by vodka can be easily reversed by eating moderaly fat meats plus the lots of cabbage. Just remember to have bigos for diner, at least once a week, and you are going to be fine.

News / "Lack of Common Sense in Politics and Society" - political correctness in Poland [32]

Political correctness gone wild - that is why I don't want political correctness in Poland:

Swedish politicians want men to pee sitting down!

Politicians in Sweden have called for men to pee sitting down when using the Sörmland County Council toilets.

A motion has been put forward by the Left Party, stating that men should be banned from standing up while relieving themselves

@jon357 Oh, come on, it is most eviden that humans are NOT equal. Also, you sound as if being cynical would be something bad. I happen to be proud of being a cynic.

@rozumiennic I'd have to write an essey, and I don't feel like that right now. Let just say that PC reaminds me of Communism. Both are trying to shape the society along some sily, artificial ideas.

Life / Racism in Poland - the future [441]

OK, so joking aside, what today gets lumped into the general term of "racism" is hardly hatered anymore. More times then not, it is more along the lines of contempt, or mere wariness.

One cannot expect to anticipate the behaviour of people rised in a different culture. Some ethnicities are more prone to violent reactions then other. Businessmen from certain ethinicities are more probable to to try to deceit you. Colsing ones eyese on these realities "because it would be racist" I consider plain stupid, no offence intended.

I do beliveve that healthy dose of xenophobia (without going over the top) should be encouraged, despite the clamour made by self appointed PC-Police. It keeps societies safe and self sustained. If it was working good for our fathers, and our fathers' fathers, so it should be good for us.

News / Achievements of the Tusk's Polish government [532]

The role of the government, and other state' structures, would have to be taken by some sort of non-state. Without agents, commisaries, tax collectors, policemen, judges and ministers. Cross-society decisions, foreign policy, economic reforms, criminal law would come into force not because of one or another sort of government, with whatever coercing power - but because it has been inevitable resolution. There is no State in the Nature. The caterpillar is transforming itself into the butterfly not becouse the president, or the parliment of the insects enacted that transformation decree, but because this resolution is natural, necessary, and the only possible.
