Did anyone go to the Polish Festival in Yorba Linda?

Their next big event will be the Dozynki in September, 2010. Certain to be loads of fun. Includes food, music, piwo, raffles, etc. (I like the etc. part the best, lol!)

I'm shopping at Goodwill sometimes too

Good Will gets many new, unused items too. Stores like Macy's and Ross donate their overstock items to thrift stores. A lot of the clothing they donate are name brands.

especially now days when people are experiencing economic hardships.

During these difficult financial times, many second-hand businesses are now thriving. Most of their items are basically afforable.

You'd be surprised how many rich people use them, discreetly of course.

Hollywood, CA Melrose has several vintage (aka second-hand) stores. Many great items can be found.

I was watching a legends of jazz program on television yesterday. The drummer in an orchestra was Polish-American, named Gene Krupa. Boy did he do a fantastic job of hitting those drums.

Actor Robert Conrad (aka Konrad Robert Falkowski.)
He was superb in his heyday.

if your interested in coming to Hawaii, I can offer advice

Hawaii is so beautiful. Been to Oahu & Maui. Thought I was gonna die on the road to Hana!
Parts of Honolulu were just a little too much on the tourist side for my liking. The luau I went to was a perfect example. Too many people, watered down drinks.

I'm thinking of visiting the big island of Hawaii next time I go. I heard it's the most scenic of all the Hawaiian islands.

1. When a Polish woman talks to another woman, she eyes her up from shoes to hair while you're talking to her, like what you're wearing is the most important thing in the world.

Lol, I thought it was only my imagination. Seen a few Polish women do this to me at the Polish churches.

Very interesting subject indeed. In college I had read a few books pertaining to gang activity in California. I recall one of the books had mentioned that some of the most notorious gang members in Chicago, were Polish immigrants.

I'm just wandering. Not just here, but all over the net.

More like especially here. Probably because it's easier for some trolls to say rude things to others via a computer screen, as opposed to being intimidated in person.
