Rubbish. tax and spend socialists would raise taxes or go massively into deficit. United Right has introduced social spending whilst REDUCING taxes. 9 percent corporate tax for firms with revenue less than 1 million euro, no income tax for under 25s etc . And no deficit (before pandemic) Hardly socialist but more smart and what poland needed. Next up will be investments in health care.

It was part of their broader measures to introduce social solidarity as part of goverment policies.
Yes it has drastically reduced poverty. However it should now be means tested so upper middle class and the above should not recieve it, and the money spent on the health system or other social measures.

Don't mind our resident wariat. There is a lot of money in this area, though lack of Polish might be a barrier. Definetly bringing IT specialists from Ukraine/Belarus/etc would be intersting and lucrative

Law / Discrimination of clients and refusal of service allowed in Poland [3]
You know about ten years ago I was exploring Melbourne with my far left activist friend, real hot punk chick who actually did things, and we walked into an empty bar and ordered a beer. the bartender said we don't serve women here and pointed to his exemption of discrimination law document on the wall. turns out the homos got their own exlusionary preference , so they can f*ck each up up the as* at bars without women looking on. bit dodgy of the fag to do that when the bar was empty though.
But really what is wrong with discrimination? it is totally normal part of life. A golf club will discriminate against mountain bike riders to it's premises, a anarchist bar will not let in konfedercja ultras. A private business (if it does not have a monopoly) should be free set its terms of entry. Don't want to make cake for gays? fine with me . Don't want cops or women there? Fine with me it's your business! enough of this Ethics Reich where the goverment and Corpos wants to force us to love everyone equally.

Travel / Polish Train Restaurant/Bars [4]
Funnily enough there are PKP WARS cars attached to two russian trains that stop in Warsaw. The Moscow to Paris via Berlin and the Moscow to Nice via Austria, Switzerland and Italy. I always thought these were unbookable from Poland but apparently it's possible. Looks shmicker than the PKP Berlin express! .

Yes and that is another point. No other slavic language does this. In czech it's wieś - vesnice wiesz - Vis. The pronouciation is vaguely similar but not to the point of being so similar that it takes special work to differentiate between the two words for learners. As I said it's like polish was designed by an alcoholic who kept forgeting what they were doing.

Yes unfortunatly my dad had the brilliant idea not to send us to the polish language school when i was a kid in Nigeria so I had to learn the writing as an adult. From an outsiders perspective and someone who has also learnt Czech, Polish is overly complicated, has duplication and as Czech and Slovak are much newer languages they clean up and improve on Polish and are BETTER> the only difference i can hear in szcze and śce is maybe the length of pronunciation and latter slightly softer?

compare szczęście to the czech štěstí. Also unpredictable combinations of letters that adds complexity as it has to be learnt not to write szczęśćie or szczęścze or śczęszcie etc etc

Poles are happy to be part of the EU, because they see benefits to it, not to any sentimental attachment to a supranational state like maybe germans. But they still resent EU trying to tell Poland what to do in regards to migrants and some other matters. Once Poland becomes a net payer rather than a beneficieree of funds peoples viewpoints of EU might change. They do appreciate the Shengen zone and being able to work easily for more money in Germany and U.K etc.

An good comparison would be between Czech who have the korunua and Slovakia who adopted the euro. I know in the latter there was really bad price increases when it was introduced. Don't think it has helped their economy in tems of growth and investment relative to Czech either. The Euro ( a montery union ) is useless without a corresponding fiscal union.

Wow that is big news. The European Court of Justice will not dare contradict this as will lead to open legal warfare. Intersting what happens next. Basically Germany is usurping its superiority over the EU legal institutions. Poland has ammo in it's pocket now fighting future 'rule of law' attacks from the EU.
