Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 23 [1012]
Ukraine has no choice but to make a deal or eventually not exist.
Russia is currently engaging in a campaign of suppression against people who are still pro-Ukrainian in the occupied territories. This includes imprisonment, torture, and even unlawful executions. All sorts of human rights violations. They are also engaging in activities to destroy Ukrainian identity, and many of those activities do fall under the definition of genocide.
This will all continue and would be increased if an even greater amount of the Ukrainian population falls under their control. So people are being abused and killed under Russian occupation, while Russia tries to forcefully destroy the Ukrainian identity.
You can't argue that Russia would not continue with their criminal occupation activities and that they would stop torturing and killing people.
This is why we have trouble with the Ukrainians
Putina cannot let his own citizens can see how a very similar group of people are flourishing just across the border. You can't have that when you are doing all you can just to hang on to power and for obvious reasons. Hence, that other group of people either had to go, or they have to stop flourishing.
