Btw, a few years ago there was a social experiment conducted in Poland (and filmed) showing a small kid without a jumper and a hat sitting on a bench in winter pretending to be trembling with cold. The people who reacted were in a minority. More people reacted in the same experiment in Norway (where the experiment was first conducted). This is the video from Poland (posted 7 years ago):
People in comments pointed out that it was mainly the young people who reacted. I'm not surprised by that either. There was even a middle-aged (or older) woman who said to the boy as she was walking by: "Isn't it too hot for you?" The boy answered that it's cold, but she just kept walking o_O
The same experiment was repeated recently in Warsaw by TVN in the "City Jungle" cycle and was aired, ironically, only a week before the death of the girl from Andrychów. 800 people passed by the boy and only 10 of them reacted (7 women and 3 men):

I thought that maybe that banner was far away from the store in some big, open, empty area and so it was too far away for people to see. But then I saw a photo of how close that banner was to the store. I checked the Google Street View of that location and the banner was really close not only to the store and parking lot, but also to the pavement and a pretty busy street with a pedestrian crossing and traffic lights. I've watched an interview with a driver who said he saw the girl when she was still squatting next to some pole. Him and his wife stopped at the traffic lights and that's when they saw her and they wondered what is up with her. But they didn't stop to check, because they were in a hurry. Also, the guy you quoted (the father's friend who was looking for her) found her after a few hours and durimg that time the snow was falling apparently. So, at the end it's possible she was covered with snow. But what about earlier? According to unofficial info tens of people are seen passing by her on the CCTV footage from the store cameras. I wish they published that footage...

Listen, Bobko, I have some idea about how little people in different parts of the world know about history of other parts of the world. I mean ordinary people and not someone studying at an Ivy League university in the US or whatever.
Of course, if someone actually went to school (which is not so obvious in Africa) they get some basic facts about world history and to some extent about European history. But even then, just like in Europe, if they learn about, for example, World War II, the focus is on their part of the world. So in Europe we learn more about what happened in Europe and the rest is not so detailed, very general or simply neglected. The same in China, for example, they learn some basic stuff about what was happening in Europe during World War II, but the main focus is on what was happening in Asia.
Also, what you mean by "European history" is in reality "Western European history". Yes, we in Poland also know Western Europe's history better than Westerners know the history of Central and Eastern Europe. And this is what I was talking about when I wrote about African "lack of knowledge about Europe's history - about what RuSSia was doing in Europe for centuries". Many Western European's don't know about that part of Europe's history, so how on Earth people in other parts of the world (not only Africa) would know about it? Politics can play a role too. Do you think that schools in communist China are teaching kids about Soviet rapes in Berlin or about the Katyń massacre? lol
And, sorry, but you'd have to also take into account the level of education in different parts of the world. There are, for example, villagers in countries like Pakistan, who don't know that the Earth is round (no, I'm not kidding). So give me a break...

Besides, the on-going AI revolution makes this discussion pretty pointless, because it's hard to predict what jobs and how many of them will be available in the future. In the long run I'd be more worried about this than about immigrants, etc...
And, btw, I don't know about the US, but it's normal for working women in Poland to have two kids.

Actually, again - percentage-wise, it was Belarus that lost the most of its population due to WWII (over one quarter of its population), Poland comes "second", then Ukraine on the "third place" and only then the rest of the USSR:

History / What should Russia and Poland do to become if not friends, then at least not enemies? [945]
Do Poles hate Russians? Can you speak Russian while in Poland or are you going to get murdered, beat up, etc? lol Russians living in Poland talk about these issues in this video - I recommend both the video and the comments :) (unfortunately, it's in Russian without translation, but I'm posting it for RuSSians like ConstantineK anyway, so... :)):

@Lil321, apparently there is (or was) a village also called Wilnowo in Belarus - it was in Poland until 1945:

I think there are two possibilities - it's either Wilno (in English - Vilnius), which used to be in Poland and now it's the capital of Lithuania or Wilanów - which used to be a village that became part of Warsaw in 1951 (Wilanów Palace is located there). Because, as far as I'm aware, there's no village, town or city in Poland that's called "Wilnow" or "Wilnów".
Btw, there's also a village called Wilnowo in the North of Poland.

Are you sure about this name?
Surname "Kijewicz" comes to my mind. There's also "Klejewicz", for example.

That's strange coming from a Pole... How would dissolving NATO and American troops leaving Poland make RuSSia and Poland friends or at least not enemies? It would just make Poland vulnerable, nothing more.
