Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

although this loose group of citizens were under armed and under trained the command structure was strong, If under this spirit we could build a force like this for the protection of Poland it could only be a good thing.

Afghanistan isn't a good example, the terrain is extremely difficult for modern military to operate, its very good for poor armed insurgents to operate.

Poland, on the other hand, is perfect tank and helicopter country. Poorly armed militia is useless in this situation, we need very well armed professionals and well trained militia. Artillery, mortars, anti-tank guide missiles, SAM's are the minimum.

Polands professional army are short of their needs. There isn't much for a Home Army and leaving them to fight with the 'right to bear arms' weapons (rifles and pistols) is pointless and suicidal.

People didn't use to get their heads cut off, blown up and raped in public either.

Not that its relevant, but in Poland its doesn't happen now.

I seems to me it's you who are trying to say what's good for Polish ppl even thought you are not even a resident in this country.

And he knows nothing about Poland either.

The Polish people understand that they are not as safe as they once were. (Especially when NATO pulls out)

And he supports the destruction of Nato with his pro Trump views

UK, Ireland / Time for Polish Leaving England [15]

They voted for Brexit to stop immigration. They didn't give a damn about the consequences and I doubt the offer of money was relevant.

Real Estate / Finding rent in Poland without speaking Polish? [12]

A contract in a language one of the parties doesn't understand is useless to both of them. It will have to be interpreted by an official interpreter and that version signed and checked by a Notary.

Its easy to understand Polish real estate web sites but Google Chrome will translate it automatically.

AirNB maybe one way of looking for a English speaking landlord, my sister in law long term rents out a flat (Krakow) to people she met there.

News / Throwing away the constitution in Poland? [626]

Merged: PiS Electoral Manifesto

Could anyone point me to this, i.e. the promises PiS made, before the election, that got them elected.

I would like to check whether PiS have a democratic mandate to change the Constitution.

News / Poland's post-election political scene [4080]

warsawvoice.pl/WVpage/pages/article.php/34717/news

They are now intent on the re-introduction of communism to Poland.

What to expect, the seizing of assets to line the pockets of Party members?

The other distinction fro most of the American posters is that they live in Poland and know a lot about the country.

News / Throwing away the constitution in Poland? [626]

Yes I do have a problem with it.

Anti-PO have been doing it for eight years and now anti-PiS are doing it.

The state of Polands political scene is a disgrace.

If they want the partition and destruction of Poland they are going about it in the right way.

News / Polish final report on Smoleńsk aircrash [859]

Harry

The plane was carry more than garbage politicians, there were very many high ranking military personnel aboard. Given the Russians Fascist ambitions, they made a temping target.

In retrospect it probably makes no military difference, as the true nature of the Russians have woken up the West to the threat and hard cash is being spent of building up defense. Guilty or not of this crime, there is only one way to deal with them. Kill them.

Study / Study nursing in Poland, move to Uk? [13]

As you can see, DomicB's reply was irrelevant. He has no idea what he is talking about.

My wife studied nursing in Krakow and has recently started working in London.

Yes, Polish Nursing qualifications are accepted EU wide. There are differences with UK practices but you can learn them reasonably quickly, a good knowledge of English will help.

The demand for nurses is very high, but you will have to go through a long ( 2 month in her case) vetting process after getting a job. Checking Police records and references, vaccinations etc.

There are other discussion about Polish Nurses working in the UK. UserID DTaylor is a good source. ?action=userinfo&user=22816

Law / Laws on walking a dog in Polska [67]

Only feral dogs or cats who constitute extraordinary threat left without supervision and care in the hunting circuits at a distance greater than 200 meters from the buildings (if the conditions are cumulative) can be fought! It says clearly fought not killed.

So a dog chasing deer is fair game.

If I had mentioned the woman by name then there might be a case.

You have made a written statement for your guilt, fully traceable to you, no doubt to your home address. You are idiot.

This is extremely unlikely to happen in practice in the presence of the owner.

True, its the same as the UK in that respect. Farmers there would be discrete.

if she a had a witness or a recording device on her.

Well - by posting it here - he has gone one better and provided a signed confession.

What are you talking about ?

I replied that I would pay a hitman if they did that.
Then she produced a gas canister and fiddled around with it (my lab was ambling around wagging his tail - he's a fukking labrador for God's sake.
She said she would use the gas, so I said please don't becauseI would follow you home and burn your house down.

Those threats

I doubt that. Do you get all hot and bothered about cats as well?

Huh? I'm talking about his threats against the woman. I have no problem what his dog does, I love dogs too.

The Forest Rangers and hunters are a different issue, the woman can always complain to the Ranger and he is perfectly entitled to do something about a foul mouthed thug who refuses to control his dog.

Although I understand where you're coming from, bear in mind that what you said to her (rightly or wrongly) could've landed you in hot water,

Publicly admitting his guilt by confessing it here could still 'land him in hot water'.

It is clear to any reasonably level headed person.

You go ahead and make up any law to suit yourself, you are obviously smarter than everyone else.

but he would be a dead father in law if he were in Tri-City a

You would attack an armed man doing government business?... sure you would.

in the UK,and thanks Christ the RSPCA do prosecute in cases of cruelty

You are not in the UK, so don't try and use their laws and principles.

Cue Peterweg to say I am the offender.

As I said, the woman was right and you wrong. The dog could be shot and it would be your fault.

Thank you Monia for the support on this tpart of the story.

Your definitely screwed if you believe anything she says. She's with the fairies.

and feel free to take a walk with your puppy even in a deep forest without a leash .

Go ahead, just remember someone with a rifle is free to shoot it.

Law / Laws on walking a dog in Polska [67]

My wifes father is the Forest ranger and hunter at a government forest. Their rule is to shoot any dog more than 150meters from a house without a lead/collar (not quite sure which, its not important). The forest is a the source of income and food for a lot of people and they protect it and the 'wild' animals (which are in reality fed by and paid for by the hunters. Pheasants are farm reared and released for hunting).

There are quite a few hunters who will live and work in and around the forest and may well be armed at any time, my father in law routinely carries his rifle and will stop to shoot pests as he drives around.

Dogs are commonly abandoned in forests, they tie them to trees to starve and freeze to death in winter. One turned up at the parents house over Christmas so they adopted it as its a cute puppy, christening it Bigos (Hunters Stew).

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

Despite your suggestion that householders in occupied territory might have used guns to repel someone who came knocking - pure fantasy land.

Yes, the idea that armed civilians can defend themselves against an army is pure ********. Its also illegal, you won't be protected under the Geneva convention - you would become a terrorist.

I read an account of a small town during the German invasion, one German soldier was shot as he entered the town. The Germans burnt down hundreds of houses and killed many.

Can ALL posters keep to the thread title which is about whether legislation In POLAND should be changed.

USA, Canada / Why do you guys think that so much Polonia is fake? [51]

Another ploy by white America to destroy me and apolaks by removing the real one:

Fair enough, but if you hadn't used a beer glass you wouldn't have been charged with "BATT W/SERIOUS BODILY INJ (SNT 364/17)", which I assume means Battery with serious bodily injury. That was you destroying yourself, not 'White America'

Only women and old men to to cops in Poland no matter what happens.

Yeah, sure.

They most be so proud of their pedophile ex-con who thinks its standing up for yourself to use a weapon in a fight.

Well, maybe they are because they are bad parents who have done you no favours.

then he decided to come at me swinging with my hands down so I cracked him with a beer mug after I also saw from corner or my eye the people he was playing pool come at me.

Lets be clear here, you smashed a beer glass in a mans face before he hit youbecause there is no sign of damage in your after-arrest mug shot. And three 'cowards' stopped you from running away.

So this mistreatment is because you are Polish and not because of an assault with a deadly weapon? Just as your Polish-ness was the cause of your previous conviction of trying to seduce a 12 year girl.

Evil American system.. right.

You were convicted of lewd behavior towards a twelve year old girl, you pleaded guilty and got 120 days. You were lucky not to get a lot longer, what did her mother call you? a 'Vile Stalker', a 'predator',

Just because you don't consider it a crime doesn't make it so.
