Can I ask why you didn't learn Polish, was there no Polish school availabe where you were, did your Polish parent try and teach you our language?

Of course not. How many Polish schools were there in the UK? I only know of Divine Mercy College, which closed in 1986. No chance of any Polish language tuition in Yorkshire.

My father thought learning Polish was a waste of time, so he never taught us a word.

That's even richer from someone who is not Polish and can't speak the language.

I'm half Polish, Like you.

Don't try and claim you are Polish, because you have a huge English streak down the middle of your mindset.

P3 is an American. Can't you tell?

News / How serious is existence of Lithuania as independent state between Poland and Russia ? [65]

its all questionable, my dear.

No it isn't.

Poland would uphold Article 5. Failure to do so would subject Poland to another invasion for the Russians.

nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_110496.htm

As you see for yourself, Lithuanians betrayed principles of old alliance with Poles and Serbians.

Nobody gives a flying **** about that rubbish. Poland will rapidly commit to collective defense, because it has no choice - failure to do so will destroy Poland.

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

It does beg the question why the Russians have not returned the aircraft to Poland, Anyone got any Ideas ?

Think like a gangster, for that is exactly who controls Russia. They want leverage over their former/future colonies and this provides it.

Instead, they like to see that paranoid poison dwarf steet PiS and Poland into economic chaos, civil unrest, and fracturing with the EU NATO.

And this.

With Europe, the EU and NATO its 'divide and conquer'.

Nationalism, Brixit, Trump they are all Putins babies because they weaken the West and Putin wants to destroy the West ( and all the EU is the 'West' now).

Conspiricy theories, doubt, fear, distrust, disinformation - the 'Post-Truth' World is the KGB's stock-in-trade.

Polonia / Let's talk about Sweden and other Scandinavian countries [236]

Number 1 was Iceland, no surprise.

Do you know why? its such a small town/country that they can fake the results of anything to show themselves in a good light.

In reality, Iceland is a corrupt mafia controlled country, descended from a Stalinist economy during the Cold War.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

I've read that morning after pills will be banned as well

Won't stop them becoming more popular will it?

Hopefully also intimacies limited to wedlock with less overall fornication and adultery.

Really, how the hell will it make a difference? Please explain.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

What will the unintended consequences of this law?

Increase in the use of the fertility pill?
Morning after pill?
Increased use of condoms?
Fall in the birth rate and demographic issues as a result
Fall in support of the catholic church?
Increased emigration.
Happy pensioners

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

More than I use to by coming here Petie, isn't that what the P.F. is all about ?

If your knowledge of Poland has been increased by coming here, I guess you starterted with Zero.

I share with my Polish friends the gun laws in the U.S. that they are inquisitive about and the actual statistics that the news media puts a spin on in order to sensationalize how bad handguns are or just leaves out of the story.

Some unusual friends you have there. My Polish gun owning family and friends could not give a flying F*** about the US gun laws, statistics or hand gun ownership in general. They have all the guns the want and need, for hunting for fun for whatever. Killing people or defending themselves against an non existant threat doesn't even enter it.

Polish people need to get the all the facts before supporting such a legislation.

They are not interested in the facts, guns or legislation. You are, apparetly its an obsession. But nobody on this side of the Atlantic considers it worthy of debate.

That's how we do things in America, comrade.

Talk endlessly about irrelevant garbage?

I'd sugguest we have a discussion about installing Communism in the USA and setting up Putin as President for Life. But only Crow would be bonkers enough to think it would be really good idea that needs debating.

Yet you Americans insist on discussing moronic *****, of the same level, on Polish Forum.

And Jonny Reb, does he ever discuss Poland, he apparently knows nothing about it.

Chemikim, people are getting shot regardless.

No. Nobody is being shot in Poland. Poland is Not America,

Criminals have guns and always will have them.

No. Criminals do not use guns to commit crime in Poland.

Anyway being killed is being killed - doesn't really matter what has been used to do the deed. Its an irrational fear of guns.

Nobody is being killed by criminals in Poland. Crimes of passion or suicide is it.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

The chance of dying in a car accident is 10,000 times more likely that the chance of suffering a criminal death by gun fire in Poland.

The chance of being injured in a car is hundreds of thousands of times more likely than gun crime in Poland.

So why the **** are you not demanding that cars are banned and refuse to leave your home ?

The right of self defense? I realize British people don't believe in self-defense but Americans (and I think Poles) do.

Defense from who or what? There is NO chance that any criminal will go to a house armed with a gun. I have never spoken to a European who fears armed criminals and feels the need to be armed to 'defend' themselves.

Here's my brother-in-Laws gun collection. Notice the lack of personal protection weapons. I offered to buy him a pistol as a present, his response was why, WTF use is that for? There is nothing in Poland that requires protection from.

He got a license, he loves guns and can buy a pistol, but there is absolutely no reason for him to do so.
