Red deer fighting in the town under a road sign: one of them wanted to turn right while the other prefered to abide to law. And they quarreled.

Law / Asylum laws in Poland [41]

European recognition of the decision to temporarily suspend the right to asylum

Will the EU object energentically???

Of course not. Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk is a too famous and outstanding politician to be objected in Europe.
Moreover, the EU fears the return of crazy PiS bolsheviks to power in Poland.
Lastly, recent European elections proved that far right parties are gaining more support and one day they might reach majority if not contained.
Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk is choosing lesser evil. Humanitarian organisations are furious but they have to swallow a bitter pill coz when rightist nazionalist maniacs take power in Europe, they will shoot at migrants. Vide: Ironside.

History / Poles should apologise to Ukrainians first [337]

that Cossack risings

Apart from Cossack rebellions, there were also non-cossack rebellions, started by Rus peasants. The biggest, the bloodiest and the last one happened in late 18th century.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koliivshchyna

Koliyivshchyna was a peasant uprising directed mainly against the Polish nobility and the Jewish population and clergy . It lasted from June to July 1768 in Right-Bank Ukraine and was manifested by mass murders of Poles, Jews and Roman Catholic and Uniate clergy, of which the Uman Massacre was the largest . The uprising was suppressed by Russian and Polish troops . The number of victims of Koliyivshchyna is estimated at between 100,000 and 200,000 murdered.

News / The Baltics states rely on Poland as their main defender against Russian aggression?? [99]

Doesn't make sense.

No, it makes perfect sense.
Russian TV puppets say things which Putin prefers not to say himself.
Poland must make an impression of a country prepared to face Russian attack. This is a basic rule of the successful deterring policy.

Remind me how that went?

We lost coz we fought on two fronts - against Germany and Soviet Russia.
How many fronts today????

History / Poles should apologise to Ukrainians first [337]

idea of apologising

Thank you for reminding me I need to continue this wonderful thread. :):):)

there were more rebellions and risings

Paradoxically, some historians believe that Cossack risings led to quicker polonisation of Rus/Ukrainian elites:

Amid the general anarchy only the rabble felt good, but anyone who had even a little sense of culture turned away with disgust. Only now did the entire Rus intelligentsia and the entire nobility of Podolia, Volhynia and the whole of Ukraine become Polonized in droves. They became Polonized in thousands only as a result of the Cossack wars, not wanting to have anything to do with the abomination of murder, robbery and fornication, protecting their sense of culture under the wing of Polish culture. The Rus nationality dissipated in the cruelties of the Cossack wars.

Law / Asylum laws in Poland [41]

Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk announced on Saturday that he would demand European recognition of the decision to temporarily suspend the right to asylum on a territorial basis. His declaration was followed by negative comments, mainly from humanitarian organizations.

"The right to asylum is being used instrumentally in this war and has nothing to do with human rights. Border control and Poland's territorial security is and will be our priority. Our decisions and actions will be strictly subordinate to this," the prime minister wrote on Sunday.

As always, I fully support Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk and his wonderful party coz it is obvious they care for Poland like no other party before.

Life / Do you collect mushrooms in your country? Poles in Poland do. [79]

An informative article about Italian passion for collecting mushrooms. The author claims it is bigger than the Polish one. Amasing!
onet.pl/styl-zycia/onetkobieta/maja-na-grzyby-wieksza-zajawke-niz-polacy-bez-licencji-slono-zaplacisz/nl42xwj,2b83378a

In Italy, some people even walk around with flashlights on their heads and collect in the dark!

The forests here are full of people, regardless of the day of the week. It's nice to see 60- or 80-year-olds racing through these hills better than I can. For them, it's a national sport after football and cycling, " he confesses.

The richness of Italian forests never ceases to surprise Adam. In Lombardy you can pick mushrooms that are very rare or protected in Poland . I myself picked the dark brown boletus, the imperial fly agaric or the royal boletus.

News / The Baltics states rely on Poland as their main defender against Russian aggression?? [99]

The Baltics must have felt more secure after recent interview with a Polish general in which he warned imperial Russians against attacking Lithuania or Poland.

The German "Bild" quoted a fragment of the general's speech, when he referred to the prospect of Russia violating Lithuania's state border.- Not on the first day, but in the first minute. We will hit all strategic targets within a radius of 300 kilometers . We will hit St. Petersburg directly - emphasized Andrzejczak. He added that Russia must realize that "an attack on Poland or the Baltic countries would also mean its end, even without the use of nuclear weapons
"Rajmund Andrzejczak also pointed to the missile systems purchased by Poland, which, with the use of appropriate ammunition, can have a range of 900 kilometers . In a straight line from our border to St. Petersburg is less than 800 kilometers.

However, I must admit it was surprising he mentioned Polish retaliation on Leningrad instead of Konigsberg.

the forgiving legal status of mushroom picking in Poland - there are no limits whatsoever.

While in Europe, mushrooms pickers have to stick to daily limits. If they don`t, they may pay thousands of euros fines.
Thank you, Goddess, for designating me to live in Poland.
On the other hand, why the fekk didn`t you send me to be born in Portugal, far from Russian barbarians????

I will be lenient on some of you - only Israelis of Polish descent will be allowed to find refuge and settle in Poland when Nazi israel is turned into fallouted desert.
You`d better start collecting documents now. Later it will be too late.

Life / Do you collect mushrooms in your country? Poles in Poland do. [79]

Groups of Roma mushroom pickers from Romania often come to Polish forests in high season aka autumn to collect hundreds of kilograms of precious goods.

I wonder why. Romania is abundantly forested, more than Poland. Probably it is due to the forgiving legal status of mushroom picking in Poland - there are no limits whatsoever. You only mustn`t make noise or litter in the forest.

No worry. It happens to best people. Just remember to have a supply of fresh diapers nearby.
