Australia went mad but I find yet another high profile person *****ng on the rules normal people have to follow irritating

Nobody "has to" follow them. It's a personal choice at the end of the day. Governments are going to make it harder and harder for the unvaxxed aka pureblooded but short of sending in the goon squad, forcing you to the ground, and giving you a vaxx by force it's still your choice.

News / The ruling party in Poland tries to take American owned TV news station off the air [528]

Only political retards would stoop to spying on the competition.

What are you talking about? That's the norm in politics all over the world. They send operatives to each others conferences, hire industrial spies, etc. They're not below hire hackers or going to the government with b.s. "evidence" to get a warrant from a judge...

Power to the people !

It's not "power to the people" - the US government basically forced PiS to drop it and since Poland relies on the US as a political ally and bulwark against the EU, they complied.

The reason why the Polish government was doing this is so that the majority of Polish media are in Polish hands... and not German/US/etc. run by some jews in New York City that constantly speak bad about the country and the people. Imagine if say Trump while in office bought out CNN and took it off air so the media wouldn't be flooded with how terrible the US is, how white people owe everything to non-whites, how conservatives are evil and Trump is "literally Hitler," etc. etc.

They may not have gotten discovery but they at least put some more media back in Polish hands.

News / Poles say a big YES to our European Union [957]

The EU doesn't care about corruption as long as they are able to implement their agendas. It's only when countries like Poland and Hungary go against the EU diktats that they start crying unconstitutional, corrupt, etc. etc. They are going crazy over the fact that the Constitutional Court ruled that Polish law trumps EU law. The primacy of EU law isn't supposed to be challenged.

Travel / Why does everyone seem to hate LOT Polish Airlines? [380]

I am officially convinced that LOT is the worst airline in Europe... and a garbage website to match... Can't change a reservation, can't book a new ticket, etc. because the links either don't work or direct you to an error. Want help? Great - contact them through facebook messenger, which no one responds...

From now on, I'm flying Lufthansa , Delta or KLM to Poland.

They did however delete my post on their facebook page explaining that half the links on the site don't work. That they were on point with.

Back in the early 2000's the flight wasn't too bad - half decent leg room, they'd always play True Lies, and the food was actually pretty good. Now it's cramped like a maluch, the service went to ****, but at least the food is still half decent. If you're a taller guy like me your knees will go numb if you're unfortunate and get the middle seat.

LOL and to top it off when you call them all the automatic recordings tell you to do everything on their barely functioning website

This is seriously the biggest PRL style catch-22 I've seen since dealing with the bureaucracy in Poland...

I guess I'll have to stick it out with being number 26 in line to get a hold of a grouchy granny that got her job back when Gierek was running ****.

News / What should Poland do with the problem of Belarus? [1800]

and has said he's "ready to open a corridor for migrants to march up to Austria, Germany, and Sweden."

As he should - just like Castro once said "I have flushed the toilets of Cuba into the United States" If the western countries don't want more "spontaneous cultural enrichment" they need to pay up to the one that will prevent the problem from happening.

You know it's a problem and huge regret from 2015 when even Merkel and the other W. European leaders don't want more illegal migrants coming in.

News / What should Poland do with the problem of Belarus? [1800]

Well at least Poland is doing a far better job dealing with the illegal migrants than the western European countries ever had... Nonetheless, an estimated 9k made it through the Polish border

According to international law, an asylum seeker goes to the first safe country to ask for asylum. But like the hordes of free-loaders before them, they'll cross borders until they get to their desired welfare haven, especially Germany.

Idk about you all, but I'd take Belarus over Iraq or Afghanistan any day... but I guess they don't want to stay there because they'll actually have to work and contribute to society. Even the illegal migrants are getting spoiled... what ever happened to beggars can't be choosers?

Life / How are electric cars doing in Poland? [413]

Yeah that's one thing that impressed me about the newer X5/X6's when I was shopping around - it had that heads up display which even way pricier MB and other cars don't have

Now worst German car in US is BMW,I think they are now made in Mexico for the US market

The 5 series were made in China for the longest time... Idk about the other models but yeah they're garbage. BMW last good car was the E38 740s which I believe still are made in Germany though. Actually certain Rolls Royce/7 series share a lot of the same components

This girl that was living with me for a while had a late E39 model 328CI that we modded out to look/run like an M3... basically it was an M3 clone. Total POS. It seemed like every other week something broke on it especially the window regulators and motors. I was so happy when she crashed it. I bought her a pos 1994 ford tempo that smelled like cats. She was not happy, but hey the way i see it she's already in debt and working it off.

Life / How are electric cars doing in Poland? [413]

Yeah I wouldn't get a caddy in Poland... no way... way too unreliable and risky without an established dealer/mechanic network where you can get it fixed. Not to mention that with all the VAT and taxes you can get a much better car for the money. Aside from the Escalade, which is really just a fancy Suburban, Cadillacs are cheaply made with unnecessarily overcomplicated technologies and very unreliable compared to competitors... but for some reason I still like them because of that sofa like ride and I guess the bling factor which is the only reason people even buy them in the first place.

But that W210 generation of Mercedes will always hold a special place in my heart for how reliable it was. I'd still be daily driving one today if it didn't look so dated.

Even today I still think about buying an early 00's E55 AMG as a daily driver - 350hp naturally aspirated RWD Germany V8 that's actually reliable for $10k - maybe one day I'll buy it and mod it out to look a bit fresher.

Cadillac is definitely damn rare thing in Europe but does it break down?

I've had two models - a DTS (the large sedan they make, now called the XTS) and my current Escalade. I found the Mercedes E-class to have superior engineering versus the DTS - better trans, better engine, more responsive handling, etc. even though it was a 220 some hp 3.2L V6 while the DTS had a 300 hp 4.6L V8. The E-class was also way more reliable - I bought the E-class at a salvage auction with 30k miles on it and drove it throughout my college years and even a few years beyond. It made it to 250k miles with no repairs, just oil changes and basically none of the recommended MB maintenance. The V8 northstar on the other hand had a notorious overheating issue - it didn't even make it to 90k and it was cheaper to replace the whole engine than fix it. GM used a high tech aluminum engine with steel gasket bolts that have extremely fine threads. They'd always wear down super quick and cause gaskets to fail and thus a total engine failure. Some owners barely made it past the 50k GM warranty only for that issue to pop up around the 60-90k mile mark then get quoted $6-$8k at the dealer to fix the issue.

The Escalades though I love and it's been pretty bullet proof over the years. It's the same platform as the Chevy Suburban/GMC Tahoe/Denali and a bunch of pickup trucks that's been made for decades. The only large repair I've had was the brake lines rusting over which happens on these models in areas where they salt the roads in the winter. I put threaded stainless steel lines so it won't happen.

I love driving the Escalade because it feels like you're driving a dump truck with a souped up engine. The acceleration is actually great on it - around 6 seconds for a car that weighs almost 3 tons is pretty damn impressive. Every little honda accord or toyota camry just feels like a bug you could run over with nothing happening. Other large modern SUVs like the Mercedes GLS, BMW X5/X6, Range Rover, etc. drive more like sedans and are very nimble, but the Escalade still has that true "truck" drive feeling to it.

The Escalades also keep their value tremendously well for an American car while the other models plummet. Aside from the Escalade though, I don't think any of the caddy's are a good car to own. The leases aren't too bad but they're just too cheaply made and too unreliable to own for a long time imo. Even the new top of the line XTS sedan which replaced the DTS uses the same crappy 3.6l V6 that the entry level CTS had back in 2004 is a piece of crap imo.

Life / How are electric cars doing in Poland? [413]

The E class was a great car. That was my daily driver before I got the Escalade. The new ones are garbage though. They went to crap after 2009 model years. The 2010 and later years have interiors and a drive train more resembling an entry level $30k C-class than a $50-$60k car.

In Poland there's a lot of them on the road of all different generations. A lot are used as taxis because they're reliable at least more so imo than bmw and audi. Now everyone is buying the little suv, crossover things like the Porsche Macan. I see more of them Wroclaw than my own suburb. The real hot cars though in Poland seem to be the American ones especially Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Cherokee, etc.

It makes me wonder though how a lot of these people in Poland afford their cars. There's so many cars on the road worth $40k, $50k+, etc. Even if you're making 10k 15k zloty a month that's still not easy to swing.

What I've noticed in the US is that wealthy people don't mind driving older cars. Like they'll buy an expensive car say an S-class, but then they'll keep it for at least-5-10 years. Not so much in Wroclaw and other cities in Poland. They buy cheaper models, but there's more new cars on the road.

Polonia / Possible Green Surge in Germany [118]

Germans are too busy trying to dig up Beetoven's corpse to prove he was really a black guy than worrying about the next mommy figures that will rule over them.

classicfm.com/composers/beethoven/roberto-blanco-wants-body-exhumed-racial-dna-test/

That being said, AfD and preferably NPD (granted they don't have much of a shot) are the only two choices Germany has for becoming German again and not Germanistan.

Polonia / Possible Green Surge in Germany [118]

God knows, it takes a lot of it.

The last estimate I read was 25 billion a year - more than the 20 billion Germany spends on its education budget. However, that figure doesn't include all the ancillary costs -medical, education, law enforcement, incarceration, or the money spent every time one of them decides to conduct an act of "cultural enrichment" with a knife, car, or by holding some white woman down in the bushes.

Another statistics pointed out that basically every German worker devotes the equivalent of 1 month of wages going directly to coddling migrants.

You know....why don't you leave that to the women?

A) For the reasons that Novichok pointed out
B) Funny how you choose that point and ignore the others... fact is, German society is in rapid decline and the way the people voted only further illustrates that. I guess the German people like being ruled over by a liberal mommy figure. Whatever, just don't try to push your "mirgant quotas" onto Poland because you regret your decision due to all the problems they've caused.

Polonia / Possible Green Surge in Germany [118]

Like the western commies during the Cold War

And what have they turned into today? Societies where you can get imprisoned for making parody songs and memes, "two daddy/mommy families" being taught to grade school kids, women can't walk around without fear of being "culturally enriched," and after a few decades they'll be minorities in their own country. Yeah real winners...

At least unlike Germany, today Russians aren't being cucked and drowned in a deluge of third world "doctors and engineers." Places like Poland, Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine, etc. are all far better options than Germany if someone wants to raise a family in a wholesome traditional socially conservative environment.

Putin smartly nipped that **** in the bud right away and passed laws that ban lgbt propaganda. There's no 3rd graders reading "Mommy, Mama and Me," "My Two Cool Moms" "My Two Dads and Me" etc. etc.

Would Hoecke or PEGIDA be any better?

PEGIDA would most definitely be better. They're agenda is the complete opposite of Merkels, Baerbock, etc. There is no difference actually between Merkel and Bearbock - its two sides of the same coin.

Funny thing is, PEGIDA actually had a banner that read "Putin save us!"

Putin

Putin

Merkel

When putin gave Merkel a present of cold fish I laughed so hard my sides hurt. What a cool dude... if every man aspired to be like Putin and used him a role model we wouldn't have all these beta cuck soy boys

how do people feel with regard to the end of the Merkel and perhaps the threshold of the Baerbock Era?

Great, another mommy politician who's only going to continue Merkel's legacy of gradually giving away the states' treasury to third world migrants and sponsoring the anal agenda while pushing for the federalization of all EU states complete with an EU army to enforce compliance (whose ranks will be undoubtedly filled with soy boys, trannies and muslims who have been told it's okay to take your boots off during combat in order to pray)

I pray that Russia, preferably with the help of China, repeats 1945 all over again. The sooner they liberate Berlin, the sooner the EU can wither away and die and things can go back to it's natural order. The reason why China is needed is because they already have all the infrastructure built to transport and house muslims in camps.

Work / Hi, I am Indian and will be shifting to Poland (diploma in Mechanical engineering) [47]

As I got to know this I started learning german language as it is also spoken in Poland.

Not many people speak German in Poland... far less than English anyway...

Students are given a choice of what languages to learn in grade school/high school - English is by far the most popular with German a distant second. That might've been a good choice in the 80's and 90's before EU accession, but not anymore.

The only way German would be useful is if you are working for a large company that specifically wants to hire a multilingual person i.e. English/German, English/French, etc. Those type of jobs tend to be in customer service front end type roles that pay peanuts.

I have completed my diploma and graduation in mechanical engineering.I am fresher with no experience

I think you're going to have a very hard time finding a job in your field without having any relevant experience. You'll find a job, but I highly doubt it's going to be high paying or within your field. You should've studied IT - programming, coding, system admin, development, system architect, etc. like all the other indians that come to Poland. Although who knows, maybe some company will take a chance with you, but I wouldn't expect a high or even good wage.

I remember seeing a job ad quite recently for a senior system architect paying 30-40k zloty a month. I'd be willing to bet some indian or paki dude is gonna fill that job.

News / Israel furious as Poland signs law to limit property claims [200]

"The Jews killed Jesus" garbage deliberately fomented by the Catholic Church

Yes, all 100+ countries individually decided at vastly different times that the jews must go.... it had everything to do with theology and nothing to do with people getting sick of their usury, contempt for laws and customs, subversion of the political system, collusion and collaboration with enemies, and characteristically sneaky and clannish ways.

And that's why they were kicked out of dozens of Muslim countries as well as various states before Jesus was even alive, right?

Life / Where do the wealthy class live in Warsaw? [32]

I do find that wealthy Poles tend to make their fortunes more through entrepreneurship, real estate, savings, etc. rather than through more risky speculative investments - forex, stocks, etc. Poles are much more risk averse than westerners that's for sure. And even the poorest manage to live within their means and even squirrel away a few zloty here and there for a rainy day.

Life / Where do the wealthy class live in Warsaw? [32]

The definition capgemini used is, as you said, inclusive of primary residence and not just liquid assets.

I figured... if that's the case I'd say the 150k estimate is probably even an undercount. That'd be .3% of Poles. I'd say that at least 1-3% of Poles living in urban/suburban areas around Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, and the other larger cities have over 1 mln in assets.

If you even look at property listings there's tons of homes and even condos priced over 500k eu/usd and also jobs especially in IT and management that pay well over 15-20k+ with some even paying 30-40k for senior level.

Wealth is built over generations.

That's precisely why most of the millionaires in Poland are nouveau riche/new money.
Dirk diggler

Life / Where do the wealthy class live in Warsaw? [32]

There's a lot of Poles with 1-5 mln EU/USD in assets - small business owners, white collar professionals, and a lot of families where the breadwinner lives in UK/USA/Germany/etc and sends money back and eventually retires. I can easily believe that there's over 150,000 people with 1 mln US/EU in assets technically making them a millionaire and if anything that number is probably a low estimate (some stats considering a millionaire to be someone with 1 mln in assets total, others 1 mln in assets aside from their main abode.. if it's the latter I'd think the 150k estimate is accurate, if the former undercounted).

But there doesn't appear to be a lot of multimillionaires with 5-10+ mln EU/USD in net worth like you see in the US, UK, etc. where entire neighborhoods and small towns are filled with such people. There's perhaps 2-3 neighborhoods in Wroclaw where you have homes going for 1-2 million zloty

Can you imagine it?

If we let the feminists do as they please pretty soon we'll have streets named after nigerian prostitutes, like in Brussels....

You can't make this stuff up.... I guess a dead hooker from nigeria was a far better choice to name a street after than the hundreds of Belgian heroes - but of course that'd be "white supremacy" naming a Belgian street after a famous Belgian...

News / Years of Poland in the EU - assessment of pros and cons [1158]

"new man

Pretty much. The Soviets did the same thing. The difference is the New Soviet Man would be healthy, enthusiastic, educated and well-read even if a peasant, austere, patriotic and assume traditional family roles but traded their nationalism for love of the Soviet Union and Christianity/Orthodoxy for the communist party. The new EU man is a weakling with low testosterone, educated in useless subjects like gender studies, lead by endless materialism and consumerism, his kids change genders at 7 years old, he has no patriotic sympathies or religion - even being proud of being a European is frowned upon as it denotes being a white Christian, and offers his spare bedroom to a "refugee" from north africa then publicly blames White supremacy when the migrant rapes and kills his wife and/or non-yet-transitioned daughter. The new EU man will never resist the vaxx/passport agenda and will gladly eat soylent and bugs because an 18 year old who still looks like she's 12 and never went through puberty featured on EU media said it'll help reduce climate change.

political expediency

That's what we're seeing with the EU and their relationship with Poland, Hungary, etc. In 2004, they were toasting our accession and politically left us alone. In fact, they didn't really interfere until 2015 when Poland, Hungary, etc. didn't want to clean up Merkel's mess with all the migrants she let in. The migrant thing didn't quite work out since so many people realized what an abysmal failure this has become, not to mention financial burden, so they went after Poland, Hungary, etc. for things that were more popular - going after "rule of law" infractions, forcing us to accept the LGBT agenda, etc. These things are more popular in the western EU so they can gather more support to attack Poland, Hungary, etc. They don't give a damn that PiS, Obran, etc. were democratically elected based on campaign promises and agendas or even what the majority of citizens want. Obran tried explaining numerous times in the European Parliament that he was elected because of campaign promises - they don't care. If he were a leftist and pro-EU they'd let him consolidate as much power as he wants and leave him alone - just like they did with Spain during the whole Catalonian referendum thing.

Regardless of your comments it doesn't change the fact that Poland never agreed to any of that during accession nor does it change the fact that Polish law trumps EU law on Polish soil - which is precisely why Poland will keep fighting the EU on this to preserve our sovereignty. If others want to kowtow to the EU's diktats fine, but that's not Poland, not in the Polish spirit. We resisted the Russians and the Germans when they tried to implement their agendas through threats, punishment and force - today it's the EU.

Yes and during EU accession no one agreed to implement any sort of anal agendas nor did the EU say that new members couldn't implement an LGBT free zones at will. That is clearly something that the leftists in the EU are attacking Poland, Hungary, etc. over because they don't like the fact that the citizenry is resisting their neo-marxist agendas complete with turd world migrants and their rapey/"spontaneous cultural enrichment" escapades, child trannies, anal agenda being taught in grade schools, etc.
