Alas you are simply mistaken on both counts.
They are doing these because PO in June make a mockery of the Constructional Court nominations so they are redressing the balance.
Also they lessens possibility that bills passed by the Parliament would be blocked by the CC obstruction.

"Nominations in June were breaching procedures and so are nominations appointed by PiS, However the nation voted for PiS and that party should be allowed to govern, there cannot be any institutions that are allowed to impede or that renders governance by the democratically elected government impossible."
I see it differently though, it is reverse of an unlawful act of the previous parliament namely PO party committed when they realized they are going to lose an election.
Imagine if nominees to a Supreme Court would be appointed and accepted before any vacancy would have occurred, in advance so to speak.
The PiS government has been making a steady attack on the rule of law by trying to pack the Constitutional Court (Trybunał Konstytucyjny) with PiS supporters by highly irregular means.

I think its lack a significant amount of value even as a scientific theory as a tool to describe reality is simply useless as it fits most of the countries of the world. Everyone sees itself as wronged victims or forced to action by a hostile world.
Any harm done by the nation is not its fault and any harm done to the nation is definitely the fault of malevolent actors
In the ancient Rome that was a standard way of describing war waged in the name of the Roman people.
I don't see any particular relation of your revelations to PiS other that they assert that Poland needs to defend her interest and that is true.

Dense people are often like that. Alas she is wrong 9 out of 10 in conclusion she is deriving from observation.

During the war he was leading some communist and soviet bands activity fighting against Polish underground - that makes him a double traitor. After the war he was a part of the soviet establishment in occupied Poland and their action do not really concern as action of traitors and collaborators.
He had given call a xenophobe or nationalist because he was a leader of a fraction inside soviet collaborators in occupied Poland. Fraction of ethically non-Jewish traitors and scum with different backgrounds aimed to dispose ethnically Jewish scum in totalitarian apparatus of the occupied Poland. He might used some slogans but he was neither nationalist or xenophobe as he himself wasn't really Polish.
I couldn't care for neither of that fractions nor would any Pole, implying that Poles in any way should apologise for him and the likes of him is simply insulting on so many levels I would even bother to explain it.
