If D-Day had been half a year earlier, the Americans would have met the Russians not at Torgau but near Warsaw. Perhaps they would even withdraw from part of Poland just to get an occupation zone in Germany or at least in Berlin. (a kind of East Berlin, surrounded by a wall). Then the fate of Poland might have turned out differently.
