Not to mention cbd which is wonderful in treating seizures.

yes i have been getting weed for my friend who suffers from epilepsy. Her 80 year old dad was keen for her to try it.
After we got really stoned together for the first time, she went from having one or two seizures a day, to none for 8 days.
She then tried the CBD oil but found it less effective.
When she went for the weekend with friends who might disapprove, she didnt smoke, and had a major seizure and broke bones in her foot.

After that I introduced her to a good weed dealer, and she is delighted with the effects it has for her.

not exactly legal as such. but (from wiki) " Cannabis in the Czech Republic is illegal for recreational use, but personal possession has been decriminalized since 1 January 2010 and medical cannabis has been legal since 1 April 2013 "

The stuff I had was fantastic, medical grade, and you could choose strains from Leafly, like a menu in Amsterdam. I was seriously impressed.

I found some fantastic weed from a professional dealer through a fb group. IN Czech mind, not Poland.

Travel / Why do you visit Poland? [223]

Guess I just can't see celebrating human tragedy while on vacation.

totally agree, that is why i did not do the 'Auschwitz tour' when i was in Krakow.
It seemed wrong somehow.

Food / Poles have a more loving attitude to food than here in the UK [169]

experts now agree that the healthiest is locally grown produce consumed in season.
@ Polonius3

thats right , eat locally grown as much as you can - Here in Wales, people keep hens and have a little egg shop table to sell surplus eggs at the end of their drive, or outside their house, with an honesty box for the money, usually a pound for six eggs. Sometimes there are greens or beetroot. Would that work in Poland? It wouldn't last 5 mins in England. Maybe in parts, I don't know.

News / Why Poland has no problem with terrorism [64]

it's not an experiment as such, Maf., more like a massive post colonial hangover.

Poland didnt have colonies, so it isnt going to happen is it?

Honestly some people are so dense about history (on purpose?) :)

well as the bulk of the working population of Poland seems to be in London, (or similar) that joke falls a bit flat, doesnt it?

i went once to a nearby town and ended up in a flat full of Polish working men, standing in the kitchen, and they were making these little pastry twists with icing sugar. I was a bit suprised as you would never get british working men engaging in patisserie skills together would you?

UK, Ireland / Racist ex-priest Międlar tries to fly from Poland to U.K. again. [293]

oh OK Britain First = the National Front. In that case he should not be allowed to come. Inciting racial hatred is a crime, and if he has pretty much declared that this is what he intends to do in the UK, he can eff off back to where he comes from.

to be honest, while I do not know what this Miedlar guy has to say, he should be allowed to say it to people who want to listen to him. As long as he is not stirring up active racial hatred.

Freedom of speech and freedom to gather in a group , I believe.

News / Polish LGBT activists perform tribute to George Michael [38]

he was from East Finchley and moved to Radlett as a teenager and attended Bushey Meads school and Cassio College. Very local to us.
Later he bought a big house in Highgate village.
His dad was Greek Cypriot, his mum was English.
