Not normal at all.
Guard dogs in Britain only bark or bite when there is a danger.
Too many dog owners in Poland do not have a clue how to train dogs and that is one of the things that annoys me most about Poland.

Ignorant dog owners who let their dogs bark all day and night.....

Russia is dying because of alcohol.

Because Slavs in general, but Russians especially, do not know how to drink.
Actually, I would put Poles in there too, but they are nowhere near as bad as Russians.

Agreed, but we are talking about teenagers, 14 plus, and alcohol is not a Class A drug!
It is something that society has been using as a socialising agent for centuries.....get a grip man!

No,you missed my point.

I know people with alcohol problems that were not gradually introduced to alcohol as teenagers.
My kids, at 14 were allowed a half glass of wine with lemonade with a meal.
At 16 it was one small glass of wine.
Although they both drink on occasion, it is very rare.

Wine with meals isn't a bad example.

Exactly, as you say very common practice across Europe.
People who were not introduced to wine with a meal as kids often have problems with alcohol in later life.

Nothing gets better with alcohol.

Food is much better with a glass of wine.

Poles do not speak English because most of them can't.
Most French people can't speak English either, but most of those who can do not speak English out of arrogance.

This is one thing that I fail to get my head around.
After the war, some Poles, rightly, demonised Jews for being Communists...as many were.
Then the Communists kicked a load of them out in 1968!

Whilst I broadly agree with most of what you say, the Sarmatian influence is pure myth.
Please ignore Crow's insane babblings.
Poles are mainly Slavonic, though they are not great supporters of "Slavdom", because they see themselves, and always have done, as Central Europeans.
Ethnically, they have other Slav connections, Baltic and Germanic and Jewish too.
Too a lesser extent there were Scots, French and Italian influences as well.
