I like the sound of English...english English that is. Somehow I found the american english not nice on the ears.
Is it just me or is it really abit twang?

American English also sounds nice but from an educated persons lips, not some idiot that talks in ghetto slang.

For me French and Italian are on top. I'm not gonna comment on Polish since I'm a native speaker and it's kinda difficult to judge hearing it all your life. I've read somewhere that to many others it sounds weird..

Yea Poland isn't gonna build some out of date nuclear power plant and neglect safety like the Soviets did, and it isn't Japan where tsunamis or earthquakes threaten it. France and Germany have them with no major accidents, it's safe clean energy.

HAHA yea there are pretty girls in every country. American women seam to have a stereotype of being fat and ugly, yet every single day i see so many beauties (especially in the suburbs) some so pretty i can't believe my eyes.

It seams that power of Polish state began to drop rapidly since the Battle of Vienna in 1683

In the early 1700s Austria, Prussia and Russia secretly signed the "Alliance of the Three Black Eagles" (Löwenwolde's Treaty) which was meant to keep Poland weak economically and militarily. The Commonwealth had been forced to rely on Russia for protection against the rising Kingdom of Prussia, while Prussia was demanding a slice of the northwest in order to unite its Western and Eastern portions.

It's not true. Trust us - we live here, we know what we see - and the usual is for 15-17 year olds, just like in most of Europe.

I also used to live there and was born there so i know, i saw plenty of 12y/o drunk boys and girls.

Great idea. Way too many young alcoholics there (I witnessed it myself)

That's true supposedly 50-60% of Polish 12-14 year olds get drunk on a regular basis. It's good that they look at the United States and it's success with drunk driving (21 y/o drinking age and stiffer DUI laws) however i fear that kids will look for other ways to "party". Poland doesn't have a serious drug problem like the US many kids (especially in smaller cities and towns) didn't even try Marihuana.

In an attempt to fight alcoholism amongst the youth the government is proposing a controversial legal age of 21.

Jerzy Wierchowicz, Councilman from Gorzow recently ran a very original idea. Former MP urged to tighten regulations on the sale of alcohol. According to him, spirits should be sold in Poland, to those who are at least 21 years old.

Councilor, justifying its proposal, refers to the situation in the United States, where the introduction of such a restriction significantly decreased the number of traffic accidents caused by minors.

This idea is also to help in the fight against alcoholism in Poland. In our country, from year to year there are increasingly more people addicted to vodka. Thousands of children grow up in families of alcoholics. The youngest, the example of their loved ones, even very early start to drink alcohol, gradually slipping into a growing addiction.

Many politicians, however, considers the idea of ​​a councilor from Gorzow too controversial. They claim that 18-year-old is now fully grown up yet and the introduction of such a ban would restrict its citizens' freedom. Young people will become criminals simply trying to get any price for alcohol. With these concerns also agree to addiction specialists. Yes but in those northern countries where people with lighter features live the sun isn't like in southern Europe or Africa or Latin America and it doesn't have the same effect there. White people living in those hot climates, and or tanning age fast.

Check out people with Nordic features like our late Pope John Paul II he had a baby face no wrinkles, my grandfather same thing. My cousin who looks Mediterranean is 28 looks like no less than 40.

I didn't say you don't, I think Spanish and Italian women are hot I just don't believe they age better.

No it's not 72% of Poles have blue, green or gray eyes, dirty blond to medium brown hair and pale skin are dominant among Poles. Look at Italian, Spanish, French, Greek women when they're 30 they look 35 to 40.

many of the older variety i.e. 40+ weren't so pleasing on the eye

Well after age 32 looks begin to fade slowly that's in all nationalities. As to aging well yes generally Polish women do age well since most have lighter features (skin, eyes and hair) people with dark features age fast.

Is that sarcasm i'm sensing ? It's true even back in the 90s the asphalt roads the new ones were as good as they get. That's just how asphalt roads are, after cold winters they crack.

My main problem with Polish roads are that when they redo old roads they use ****** materials that break down and wear very easily

It's not the materials it's that most roads are asphalt not concrete, like in the west. A new asphalt road can have many pot holes and cracks even after just one winter, and in Poland they can be long and severe. Concrete roads are much more durable and 2 or 3 times more expensive.

Wrong. Because you're making your assumptions based on your country's women. Many Polish women to this day are old fashioned and like the man to be a man and be in charge. It's not about her being controlled it's about her being a woman.
