What English food would you serve a Pole?

I would serve English breakfast coz I like all its ingredients most of which are additionally cooked in my fave style aka fried

be washed down with a mug of very strong tea with a little milk.

Just how I like my tea but a bone china cup would be better :)

I've never understood the appeal of beans or fried mushrooms for breakfast.... (or fried tomatoes.... period).

I've never been a real breakfast person anyway (since I grew up in a very warm climate where a piece of fruit or at most a bowl of cereal was all that was needed).

In Poland I do eat more breakfast at times but if I wake up very early the last thing on earth I want to do is have a bunch of heavy food....

Same. My breakfast is a pint of strong coffee and a couple of cigs.

But an English breakfast is nice if you're in a hotel. Eating it every day would only work if you're doing heavy labour and need the calories.

I like my breakfast. I like big breakfast and big obiad and I can skip little or jot at all after
I can easily eat anything for breakfast (including bigos, fasolka po bretonsku etc.) I can't stand british sausage though and English breakfast doesn't appeal to me

Bowl of mush (oatmeal) with chopped up banana topped with some butter and cinnamon.

No, English breakfast is still my fave nutrition style. At least in my imagination and dreams.
Coz I haven`t had a real one for decades since I watched that drastic breakfast scene in the cult Trainspotting film:

It's a tradition; they have to do it at least weekly or their sporran departs.

Have you read the book? Much better than the film.

I remember someone saying something similar once. It was ironic since at the time, the PM was To y Blair from Edinburgh, the leader of the opposition was Cameron, a highland name and the leader of the LibDems was Menzies-Campbell from Glasgow.

You'd either love or hate Lorne saudage (square from Scotland). I quite like it but wouldn't eat it all the time.

Nor me but baked beans are very popular over here. Eaten on toast as a snack/lunch if not part of a breakfast.

I quite like breakfast but nothing too heavy. Certainly nothing greasy. I can't stand the smell of an English breakfast cooking, let alone having to eat one.

You'd either love or hate Lorne saudage

The latter I'm afraid. I've come to the conclusion that maybe I'm fussier than I thought.....

Ore and more popular in PL. A lot of the shops have them now, mostly Uzk brands. I don't buy them.

I was always intrigued by it when I was a kid. We never bought it but a few markets stalls had it due to there being a lot of Scots in the town.,

Until you mentioned it I didn't realise it was a Scottish thing. Not sure why we were served it but I tend to put it in the same general category as Spam and all types of luncheon meat. Just gross.

You'd not like North African breakfast them. Bean stew, tinned tuna and triangles of processed cheese. All washed down with Nescafรฉ and condensed milk. Nasty.

Here is Polish breakfast I am having now

wholemeal/ brown bread with avocado and melted lard
pieces of luncheon meat/ liver sausage/ham/ country sausage/blue cheese
and black radish/pepper - sweet and spicy/ celery leaves
plus fermented beetroot juice

Exactly!!! I am extremely broadminded, as you know, and it also applies to culinaria. I need several flavours at a time.

No, fried. I never bake anything, coz I don`t have time and being parsimonious, I try to reduce our energy consumption. Frying is way faster and a lot cheaper and tastier as it produces a crispy texture which is my fave.

My wife does a o lot of baking/roasting and once in a blue moon I depend on her and smuggle my dish into the oven.
