when is the most right time to visit poland? i wanna to visit poland
June and early July can be nice. It can be very hot in the summer time. The world is a big place, why Poland? There are many other more interesting places than Poland to visit. Even Prague in the Czech Republic 'knocks the socks off' anything in Poland.

Hmmmm maybe I cut you a bit too much slack Michal ;)
Firstly don't be so stunned that someone expresses a desire to visit Poland. This is a Polish forum so it's inevitable that people who have an interest in the country will gravitate to forums such as these.
Secondly, your statement that Prague "knocks the socks off" anything in Poland is a very simplistic thing to say.
Teng,
To see Poland at it's best then go in the summer. Yes it can be unbelievably hot but you won't be going there to work but to have a vacation. In other words you can take it easy and enjoy the weather (and all the beautiful girls in their summer outfits ;) )
Poland has something for everyone. Mountains, lakes, forests, history, culture breaks, unspoilt seaside resorts.
Whereas Prague has wonderful architecture, cheap beer and lager louts......no contest !

great idea... but for future reference, its normally an idea to finish the website before you start drawing attention to yourself... otherwise your credibility might suffer...
... are you polish btw...?

Yes, you can sit under a tree and have a nice cold Polish beer. I used to like the Polish beer when I used to drink alcohol.

Not the most spectacular photograph in the world but this is one of my favourites. It typifies one of the things I really love about Poland......it's unspoilt forests.

olsztyn castle looks really nice. have to go there next time in poland.
Poland is quite nice during late august or september. some nice things to visit might include several nice central market squares like in wroclaw, poznan or zamosc also lublin. then the nature and forest in tatra mountains are amazing. to conclude, and if you're driving, you might want to have a look around those little wooden churches in southern part of the country. Poland is a simply country but does have a lot to be explored. Why compare a country with another one? I mean, we can't compare subjective factors right? makes no sense... like, I've been to Prague maybe 3 or 4 times and Wroclaw with its center square, those cathedrals, the parks etc, are far more interesting than prague. :) , but, yes, prague is nice also. :P actually... a lot... hehe ;)

I abandoned the straw. I didn't order the beer. It just came to me that way. It tasted pretty damn good, too.

Nice pics, looks like you had a blast!
When I visited Poland in 2005, we went to Mikolajki. When we left there, heading to Olstyn, we went to a fabulous restaurant. It was not in a city, but on what I would say a back road. The building looked like an old barn, or boat house/boat building warehouse. The place was filled with antiques and set up like little dining rooms. The food was awesome and cheap. The parking lot was gravel. I would love to know the name of the restaurant and the town it was in.
I have pics of the place, but for some reason can't post them on here (maybe too big and I'm not computer savvy). If anyone thinks they know where I'm speaking of, email me and I'll send along a pic KatOwens@aol.com.
Thanks everyone! :)

In the olden days (OK, when I was a student back in Poland) , using straw to drink alcohol was a simple way to get drunk fast, while economizing on the amount of alcohol needed. Straws were used for beer, but I never saw anyone use them for vodka. To boost, and accelerate the effect of vodka they drank it using tea or table spoons. Or simply little glass shots, but the trick was not to let it go down right away, but rinse your mouth with the drink, holding it in your mouth for a few seconds to about a minute.
