Don't forget that you and I are first-generation immigrants too.

That fact does not make my arguments less valid.

I should never be allowed to vote or hold public office.

The elites of all Euro-Atlantic countries rule exclusively to harm their own population

Don't be so silly.

After all, red neck even after 10 generations, will be only red neck, and the emigrants may become future presidents

It's common for the ambitious and able to migrate and the dross to remain in their home town forever. In the UK, one reason that's been suggestered as an answer to the question about why there are so few professional footballers who are British-Pakistani is that their parents wouldn't dream of letting them waste time kicking a ball around in the street when they could be studying extra maths or science instead.

Pakistani - could be studying extra maths or science

Are Pakistanis actually highly represented in the sciences or medicine? Indians I can believe but Pakistanis have a whole different set of priorities....

Are Pakistanis actually highly represented

Hugely so. More so perhaps than Indians.

Remember that the distinction between Pakistanis and Indians is more about which side of the border they ended up in during partition.

Most on the Pakistan side (though by no means all) follow the same religion however that faith is very well represented on the Indian side of the border too.

Plus, many of the better off British people if Pakistan and India heritage came because they were displaced by partition. All had a right to UK citizenship until 1960 however only the better off were able to exercise that. Many are now third or fourth generation Brits.

BB, this one is for you because I like Germany...

I posted this video to tell you that I feel your pain. It's still not too late to save your country. Mine is already gone.

Surely, for example, the next Kaffefahrt.

...until you lifted the curtain...Oh, sh*it, that's how it is here...

That's exactly what happened to me. I left "communist" Poland when Poland was pretending to be "communist". Now I live in a country where snotty commies are for real.

There is no cure for this mental disorder other than repeating the Soviet experiment and waiting 70 years for the morons to get it.

Now I live in a country where snotty commies are for real.

I think that whole woke/leftist/green movement has passed it's high point, it's going downwards and losing fans and followers with every idiotic action...at least that's how it is in Germany....it's only a matter of time till its no longer a vote-winning alternative for politicians either and then its losing its power....its just a matter of time....

I sure hope you're right.

These movements tend to have a lasting effect in that they lower the cultural bar.
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,868

.....it's a difference to have this movement on the streets and in the opposition to them actually in the government, with the power to really influence the daily lives of the people....people who never even voted for these guys. In Germany all surveys and polls prove their steadily sinking stars....sadly the next big gov election is still awhile off.

Even the massive support of a broad sympathetic media isn't helping anylonger...of course the corrections needed later won't be easy!

....we just have to sit this out! :)

But I really come to think that some movements and ideas aren't so bad from the start, maybe even needed, but they are better placed in the opposition...never in power!

We have to fight it and hope it results into something more productive.

But I really come to think that some movements and ideas aren't so bad from the start

Maybe, but this definitely isn't one of them.

I think that whole woke/leftist/green movement has passed its high point,

When sane Americans with degrees are unable or unwilling to define "a woman", the country where they live is not much better than the Soviet Union as far as the freedom of expression is concerned.

Did anyone in Poland or Germany answer the question "What is a woman" correctly or has this brain cancer invaded the EU academia and politics already?

The question is of course trivial but the fear that it invokes is not. A 1984 delayed...

When sane Americans with degrees are unable or unwilling to define "a woman", the country where they live is not much better than the Soviet Union

.....imagine them with absolute power and everybody who disagrees wanders off into some Gulag....and of course no way of voting them out come next election!

What is a woman

Most Germans still know exactly what is a woman an who is not, no fear! :)

Every time one penis with a lipstick makes bad news the idea to let them do what they want loses sympathies....

Another good point. We can't overstate and become cynical--that leads to becoming prematurely despondent and defeated. Not much better for an opponent to ensure victory than that.

Every time one penis with a lipstick makes bad news the idea to let them do what they want loses sympathies

I hope so. But it's more than just penises with lipstick who are driving wokeness--they are the newest kids on the woke block. It's victimhood syndicate in general.

Anyhow...keeping making good points, BB, I'm outta here for the day.

makes bad news

That phrase is key. Articles like that appear in the news and attention seekers are given publicity for one reason only.

To rile up bigots, get them using meaningless terms like 'woke' and steer them towards voting for whoever the newspaper or website's proprietor wants, usually a right wing one that financially benefits the proprietor at the expense of the public.
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,868

I hope so

Thing is that whole movement has taken it to far....they are self-destructing. That's why I said we have to sit it out.

Remember that case of that brutal rapist in Scotland who suddenly decided to be actually a women to get an easier sentence in a women's jail? Well, that was one of those "bad news" which shocks the people and makes them look differently at that whole movement.

In that case it led to the downfall of the whole scottish government, led by a very sympathetic Sturgeon....but these bad news keep coming....in time they just add up and become to many...and the tolerance of most people has limits!

To rile up bigots,

I don't see myself as a bigot....I'm more a "live and let live" kinda guy.....but such cases like with that rapist are just unacceptable....as are these very manly athletes who now decided to be a woman just to steal the real women their medals and successes....there is a limit!

PS: Not to mention that real women, who speak out against that, are being insulted as TERFS....by men again....is that fair?

disagrees wanders off into some Gulag....

...like shunning and unemployment. The new kind of gulag...

Most Germans still know exactly what is a woman an who is not, no fear! :)

I know that everybody knows.
The problem is that they know but are afraid to say it - publicly and loudly. The new form of tyranny of many by the few...

A candidate for the US Supreme Court was too afraid...In "America"! With the First Amendment still in there...

Putin was right to keep these freaks away from Russian kids. So is DeSantis.

but such cases like with that rapist

Weirdly rare and I doubt he did that due to gender issues; nevertheless, things like that are easily used to rile people up, despite all the rapes done by people who are outwardly very boring suburbanites.

A candidate for the US Supreme Court was too afraid

Or unwilling to be drawn into made-up culture wars.
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,868

things like that are easily used to rile people up,

....but they happen....and happen.....and happen....even rare cases add up in time.....is it a wonder that people get riled up? Are they all wrong?
jon357 74 | 22,070
26 May 2023 #88
they happen....and happen.....and happen

And are still a vanishingly small percentage of the crimes in question. Yet the right-wing media would rather cut their own throats than fail to publicise even one.

Or unwilling to be drawn into made-up culture wars.

You just made my point. Answering a simple question like "what is a woman" carries the risk of being in a war with trans freaks.

Even asking it is transphobic. In Europe, probably "hate speech"...

Does asking what is the square root of 121 carry a risk of being drawn into a race war?
In this a-hole country, it actually does if the student is black. No, I am not making it up.

You don't have a point.

Except to show how easily people are suckered by media funded by people who are making money out of them.
