Meanwhile, the US is telling Ukraine to stop bombing Russian oil refineries. They do not want the price of oil to go up, and they dont want Putin escalating things. Now Joe Biden shows who he really is. Talk about a politcal campaign movement.

Ukraine is also now probably going to be forced to remove its "black list" of companies doing business in Russia. It is damaging some companies business, and is being seen as illegal. And the voice of capitalism has now been heard.

Over the last few days, hundreds more Russian and Ukraine men have died for nothing. Brilliant. Lets keep this war going so Ukraine can never repopulate.

Meanwhile, the US is telling Ukraine to stop bombing Russian oil refineries

Mhmm.

I was telling CMS Neuf last week that he was an idiot to cheer the refinery strikes.

Now the FT writes that the Americans have been telling the SBU and GUR to cease these attacks.

Who needs the FT when you got Bobko?

Too bad Ukraine didn't listen and kept hitting refineries. Today, they lost several power plants in one night.

I cannot imagine how Zelensky and Co. are feeling these days. When the war takes yet another ugly turn, on the actual battlefield, they have always resorted to some "feel good" but ultimately senseless circus stunt like raiding into Belgorod or crashing drones into Moscow skyscrapers. Now, they felt they found something actually worthwhile to strike, something that might weaken Russia's finances... and guess what?

The CIA comes ahuffin-and-apuffin for them to immediately stop.

What is Zelensky supposed to do? Hello, CIA?

1) The frontline is collapsing
2) The mobilization has been fatally delayed
3) Artillery and anti-air munitions are being exhausted
4) And you won't allow your wonderboy to strike Russian refineries?

With unsympathizing friends like this, Zelensky might as well go and shoot himself. He's just a comedian, with some additional experience in film production, and he's really trying his best.

I wonder just how many of these "lets continue the war" cheerleaders have actually had to fight in real life. Have had to face someone with a knife or a gun? I am betting very few. Most would run rather than fight. None have gone and joined the foreign fighters in Ukraine thats for sure.

@Bobko
Z has proven his is not a strategic thinker. Mistake after mistake. Passing the blame to everyone else when its he who makes all the final decisions. And now, the CIA tells him to back off oil because Sleepy Joe needs low gas prices as an election platform. I wonder if Z will follow directions. Still no mobilization except for now emptying the prisons. The management of men and machines in this war has been bad, and there is no other way to describe it.

πŸ‡·πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ During a suicidal action at the Grayvoron checkpoint, Major Maxim Proskurnya , an officer of the 73rd Special Operations Forces Center of Ukraine (Odessa), was eliminated

It is reported that he was in a Ukrainian helicopter that was shot down.

There are also reports that the former chief of staff of the 73rd SSO center, Colonel Alexander Kamnev, was killed near Grayvoron.

The strikes might drive up the price of fuel, but Udmurtia will not be able to benefit from those because their refineries are closed

It is a relatively cheap and easy way to hit the enemy without killing civilians. It also exposes the powerlessness of the Udmurtians to protect their own territory It is an excellent tactic.

The US can have no complaints - they have stalled with aid to Ukraine because of something about Mexico. How can they blame a Ukrainians for now taking matters into their own hands?

Of course I haven't fought in a war PolAm that is because during my adult life time thank the Lord they have been no major wars. The age of senseless and unprovoked invasions should've ended after the Americans disastrous defeat in Iraq. That is why we have to react strongly to what Udmurtia is trying to do here - a war of colonial aggression

@cms neuf
So, the rest of the world, specifically the working class poor who cant aford much right now, have to be taxed with higher gas prices to benefit Ukraine? That is a pretty fvcked up way to go about business. And Russia will benefit because they still have oil in ships and reserves that Ukraine cant reach.

Good that you or I have never had to be in an actual war. That said, I still question whether most here cheerleading for this continuing war would fight if faced with an enemy with a weapon, or if they would try to run. My bet is they would run if they could, or they would start crying and begging for mercy. War is not for people who are incapable or afraid of fighting, and thats most of what we have here rooting Ukraine on.

Reacting strongly is one thing. Reacting to the detriment of other people is quite another. Expecting other people to carry the weight of someone else's fight is also quite another. I would not say the US lost the Iraq war, though it was not legal based on information we have today. Sadam is dead, they have a Islamic parlimentary government, and they are better off now than before. The entire middle east can blow each other up for all I care though.

Udmurtia will not be able to benefit from those because their refineries are closed

This is key; the pipelines taking r*SSian hydrocarbons to Europe need taking out next.

Mind you, given that r*SSia has been carrying out drone attacks on nuclear facilities, oil may be the last of anyone's problems soon.

they have stalled with aid to Ukraine because of something about Mexico. How can they blame a Ukrainians for now taking matters into their own hands?

They've messed it up due to their own unstable and chaotic internal politics. Time to regard them as an unreliable partner and for Europe and its allies to go our own way on r*SSia and let them flounder without the help of others in their ridiculous fixation with Taiwan.

PolAm why do you think that the Ukrainian should care about the poor of the world,

Most of them don't have cars, and in any case are located in India, China, Indonesia and Africa - countries which for whatever reason have been tacitly supporting the invasion.

Ukraine is in a war for survival - if they can cheaply eliminate their enemies fuel source and economic engine why wouldn't they do that? They can worry about the worlds pool in a few years when they have survived

Off-topic but do you think the US won the war in Iraq? I think the only person who believes that is George W

what we have here rooting Ukraine on.

russia can stop with no real adverse affects to itself (beyond economic)

if Ukraine quits you're looking at the massacre of millions (think country wide Bucha/Mariupol)

now, the CIA tells him to back off

you need to get rid of the myth that the US wants Ukraine to win, they want russia to win with a relatively soft landing for Ukraine (casualties in the hundreds of thousands rather than millions)

The US is an unrealiable partner and cannot be depended on. Ukraine is just the latest example.

Lets keep this war going so Ukraine can never repopulate.

This is an example how to make some other people to die to protect Black* investments in farmlands and at same time remove excess population that sometime may remember that it is their country after all... What you said about peace?

powerlessness of the Udmurtians to protect their own territory

That strikes is to "saturate" air defences and to force army to move SAMs from frontline where it "cover" troops to "cover" industrial centers.

I know that one of answers will be asymmetrical, and by mid-summer Z (if he will be still alive) and his "sponsors" (anyway) will deeply regret about this sparse refinery attacks. Don't ask me for more intel, can only add that butthurt will be really painful. ;)

The US is an unrealiable partner and cannot be depended on.

You surely can depend that US will try to act in interests of their "Deep State", as abovementioned "deep state" sees them. The rest is questionnable. Promises made to someone else? What?

Ukraine is in a war for survival

Yes russians don't even deny they want to take the whole country and wipe out the language and people. And some people refuse to believe them.

Time to regard them as an unreliable partner

From the beginning the US policy has been de-facto pro-russian, russia is allowed to target civilians and infrastructure and for _months_ the US didn't want Ukraine to strike anywhere in russia for any reason... sick stuff....

their own unstable and chaotic internal politics

The US doesn't have any coherent policy about anything anywhere.... they prioritize illegal aliens over citizens and aid both sides of the Israeli Palestinian conflict and expects Ukraine to 'follow orders' when those orders are incoherent and chaotic and make no sense and then say Ukraine isn't grateful when most of what Ukraine needs has been systemically denied or delayed far too long for no good reason.

Welcome to the post-nation-state world... there is no government model and traditional governments are becoming more unhinged and dysfunctional by the day.... Germany, the UK, Canada the US all have failing systems run by people with no ability to actually run things....

This is the darkest time line...

That's an argument we haven't heard for some time Velund. You are telling us that Udmurtia has wonder weapons and because of that nobody should dare to attack their crappy outdated oil refineries?

The whole argument is bizarre. Of course Ukraine have every right to attack Udmurtia itself. And all the stuff about oil prices is a complete externality - anyone who is still reliant on Udmurtian oil has had two years to find either other sources of oil or other non-carbon sources of energy. And sensible countries are going full steam ahead with that

that will be the longest lasting effect of this war, that tyrants and religious nuts can no longer hold the world over a barrel with the oil diplomacy

PolAm why do you think that the Ukrainian should care about the poor of the world,

Hey, stupid, he didn't say that Ukrainians should care about anybody.

He said that I should not care about Ukraine.

To remove any doubt in a language you will understand: Americans don't give a fvck about Ukraine since 40% of them have less than 500 bucks for emergencies. Yes, we are that poor.

What is Zelensky supposed to do? Hello, CIA?

Declare Ukraine as the 52nd state.

the Ukrainian should care

Look, it doesn't matter, are you Ukrainian?
Iturned rather ugly, Russia wants this war to contniue as it is, The US as well, provided that Ukrainie won't get an upper hand the US cares for Russia integrity more than for Ukrinians integrity. Ukraine is in limbo as they live only on western support and want to go on.

So it is rather complex scenario and there is no one power in Europe able to do anything, Germany are F about focusing on scr...ing countries around them like Poland ect. rather than step up to leadership, usless obstacle.

Poland which interest is in Urkainie getting back Crmiea and kicking Russia in the nuttes has no power to do anything about it. Still, right now is being sre..d by both sides for its the efford i.e. By tte EU equals Germany and by Ukrianie.

With Tusak as the helm F up Polish state there is o much it can vbe done, tthe only hope that he will be kicked out very soon.

The working class poor do have cars. Most of them double as their homes. If Ukraine gave AF about taking out oil supplies they would stop taking money from Russia for allowing the pipelines to run through Ukraine. They would blow up the pipelines they have control of. So get off the high horse about poor little Ukraine when they take money from Russia every month even during the war.

@mafketis
I have no delusions that the CIA wants Ukraine to win. The CIA wants weapons production, around the clock and nothing more. All of this is smoke and mirrors. Sleepy Joe on the other hand does want Ukraine to win, and doesnt want any potential dirt on him or Hunter coming out of Ukraine. The US citizens dont GAF about Ukraine. When Ukraine lost the American people, the war was over. Just one breakthrough and Vlads boys are marching into Kiev.

The US citizens dont GAF about Ukraine.

That sums it up very well. They don't even know where U is.
Fuuny how 100 bucks to fill up the truck displaces all other concerns - including "freedom and democracy" 6,000 miles away.

Hey, cms, how much did you donate to fight for "freedom and democracy" in Ukraine?

anyone who is still reliant on Udmurtian oil has had two years to find either other sources of oil or other non-carbon sources of energy

Remember that certain countries would be glad if it was business as usual with r*SSia.

It won't be, and we're are likely to have a very difficult summer as r*SSia tries but fails to advance.

We have already discussed how much I have donated, so you can search further up this thread once you have finished polishing your fake ass Lexus.

We get it - Americans are now too poor or unwilling to help Ukraine but they still want to set the terms of what the Ukrainians are able to do to defend their country.

No, Americans want American money spent on solving problems in America. Shocking I know that people would be concerned about helping their own people first. You know kind of like the rest of the fvcking world does. It is not the US responsibility to solve everyone else's problems. It is really just that simple. US money=US terms.
