There is that thing in Berlin Treptower Park, in my neighbourhood....remember? Huuuuuge....

Since it was build during the times of the Sovietunion it might count as well for Ukrainians and Belorussians...maybe...

And what is relation of Germans to it? It seems they were going to defile it or something...

Hmm...its still standing and cared for and is part of every Berlin sight-seeing tour....what more can you ask for?

And it gets alot of visitors...

...This year I wanted to test my hunch. The results seem to confirm my impression: between 6 am and 10 pm we counted a total of 12,813 visitors...

How about the Russians...Twenty or so million victims are hard to overlook.

Possibly some people in Germany regard Russians as an "occupants" nowdays. However Russian soldiers were not able to bring more freedom to Germans that they had themselves. Unless they would revolt against comrade Stalin. Well, at least largest part of Germany (Western) avoided any reparations. And Eastern part did only meager reparations.

Not only nowadays, as they were....and some Berliner call it also the memorial of the rapist, because that was also true.

There is no such thing as lilywhiteness...but under that monument lay the bones of thousands of young men...russians, ukrainians and surely also belorussians far away from home buried in german soil....we can and have to respect that.

And yeah...that the soldiers and their families weren't exactly living in wealth and freedom either was surely a part of the understanding and acceptance. I remember people saying that the worst was over for Germans in 1945, for the Russians/Soviets it didn't stop...

How many % of a soldiers buried there were rapists do you think? A majority? Typically there is no such thing as a collective responsibility for an individual common crime.

Occupant is another word for 'resident' (in the US junk mail used to be addressed to 'occupant') the word you want is "occupiers"

Don't go there. What the Soviet troops did in Berlin was zero, nothing, zilch compared to what the Germans did to them. Let's call it "involuntary lovemaking". BFD!

Many German women actually didn't mind banging their guests for food and to be safe. The trick was to hook up with Russian officers - the higher the rank, the better.

i just read an article in a Polish history magazine that basically confirmed just as many us and British and even French soldiers raped as the Germans, and and Russians did. it was like hundreds of thousand of cases. Americans were probably the worst of all.

A few more millions perished in WW I (started by German Empire) and 10 more millions in Russian Civil War, which would never start likely if not political outcomes of WW I. Germany changed the fate of Russia for most of 20-th century if not forever!

That's why I always watch your May 9 parades and love Russia's nukes.
It will never come to this, but the thought that today a war with Germany would last less than a Masha and the Bear episode makes me feel good.

These are the best "warriors".....re-fighting old battles....of course much better/harder/tougher than the originals...typing their fat fingers bloody....

I know your kind from many history forums! :)

But the real life isn't for them...wouldn't had been back then either....

Germany is under NATO protection. I think nowdays Russia would be in a more favorable position if they would come to an agreement with US and UK in 1945 to make Germany neutral and completely nuke-less (like Austria) than to partition it. And of course they could get a lot of reparations from it.

They did that with Austria (neutral and nuke-less) but they didn't get any reparations from it....for that it needed the physical occupation it seems...

I am not refighting anything. Just enjoying the new balance of military power. Oh, what a difference...
If Russia decided to take Ukraine, the free world would send an email to the UN. BTW, I think they should before Ukraine is NATO.

Ukraine will never be in NATO....

There won't be any enlargement anymore...either with the EU or NATO...I rather see a shrinking....

Germany is under NATO protection.

There is no NATO. It's the US.
I didn't mean Russia attacking Germany. I am just glad that your country is no longer an easy target the way it used to be. That's it.

Ukraine will never be in NATO....

I think you are underestimating the American ruling mob - always looking for a new mission.

Some more regions of Ukraine will join Russia, then some to Poland, and then real Ukraine will be formed.

If Russia decided to take Ukraine,

Its will be Putins for the taking just like Crimea. You can count on Xiden to do absolutely nothing, like he did when he was Obozos errand boy!

But you can always hope these laptop libtards will put their computers down and help fight.lol

Formally, Austria had been occupied by Germany itself, so why would it supposed to pay any reparations?

There won't be any enlargement anymore...either with the EU or NATO

Why so?

Thats what I meant with better PR... :)

But really, did get the Sovietunion reparations from anyone it didn't occupy? I guess it just wouldn't work...sitting far away and demanding stuff...

These times are just over....these organizations have lotsa problems as they are...enlargement would put again a huge strain on resources and compliance...

Why are Germany and Austria separate counties? That's really stupid.

Now that Trump's out of the picture, hopefully for the forseeable future, ol' Volodya's the sole remaining threat to humanity.
