Hmm depends on which part of Poland you originate from.

I don't originate from Poland, but pyrogi sounds Ukrainian (though modern usage prefers the form varenyky)

He stood against Austria, an occupying force in his country, others would refer to him as a freedom fighter.

Indeed, Gavrilo Princip shot the archiduke, a member of the royal family of the country which ruled over Bosnia against their will. It is nonsense to say that what Gavrilo Princip had in mind was starting the WWI.

The WWI was started by those countries of Europe (Austria chiefly incited by Germany) which thought about themselves as superior to others, but not by Gavrilo Princip.

Some crazy people in the so-called "rotten" West, however, still blame Gavrilo Princip for the outbreak of the war which is simply insane and idiotic.

He only killed a Habsburg royal family member as part of the struggle to free Slavic lands from the occupying Austrian force.

After the end of the war Austria followed his hate for the Habsburgs making it illegal for any Habsburg man or woman claiming the rights to the throne to enter the country and even wrote this principle into their Constitution. The ban has not been lifted ever since.

Austria chiefly incited by Germany

Nope...Germany incited by Austria! Germany's political error was the loyalty to Austria as Austria-Hungary declared war against Serbia....

It was after all Bismarck who said:

"Der ganze Balkan ist nicht die gesunden Knochen eines einzigen pommerschen Grenadiers wert." (The whole of the Balkans is not worth the bones of a single Pomeranian grenadier.)

The Balkan was important to Austria-Hungary, not to Germany....

but spur of the moment assassinations (with no idea of what could come of it) are monumentally stupid

Indeed. However you cannot put the WWI down to that single action. It was but as spark and a pretext. That war had been brewing for some time and would have happened a one way or the other. In the same way the American civil war was pretty much predicable since 1819.

but pyrogi sounds Ukrainian

nah, it can a local pronunciation.

. That war had been brewing for some time and would have happened a one way or the other

Indeed, war had been baked into the system by that point, but under different circumstances might have played out to a somewhat less catastrophic effect...

And regardless, it's stupid to regard princip as anything less than the terrorist thug he was...

, it can a local pronunciation.

where, Lviv?

Lwow.
Anywhere before radio and TV plus commie schools system erased much of the local differences in the way Polish is used.

OK "Almost Macron" or if you prefer "Macron Junior" , "Macron Like" "Image Of Macron" "Apparition OF Macron"
Sane world is laughing at the moronic statement/definition of NATIONALIZM vice versa PATRIOTYZM, by Macron
In order not to embarrass yourself any further stop spreading your liberal nonsense , Because of impeccable behavior and nonconfrontational nature of mine
I will follow pan Lyzko example and not mention pan Lyzko by name:)

Bratwurst Boy, Germany has got it's own marches you know, but they're far less civilised and much more chauvinistic. And it seems that's exactly where AfD gets more votes.

"Since 2015, when hundreds of thousands of people sought asylum in Germany, anti-migrant sentiment has manifested much more strongly in the old east.

Anti-migrant grassroots movement Pegida harnessed public concern in Saxony with weekly marches in Dresden, which at their height attracted 20,000 people.

Some were extremists. But all marched together, chanting the old Nazi slogan "Lügenpresse" (lying press).

(...) The seemingly spontaneous outbreak of violent xenophobia has shocked many in Germany."

Lusatia should separate out of that madness. Look at those freaks. That`s what happen when one abandon his ancestors. Lost souls. Victim of globalist experiment. Better that their ancestors all fell on their swords when ugly Absolon came among them, instead to gave up and chose to live.

I wouldn't measure the support on the size of marches or parades...as the past has shown.

Especially as most people on that march were men supporting PiS and not nationalists at all. Most estimates place the amount of nationalists at around 30%, so even if you believe the nonsense 200,000 figure, that means only 60,000 nationalists turned up, i.e. the same amount as was claimed last year.

I agree , you are often confused ,you glorified Adolpha Merkel, European Union dictator. Read article in Scientific American (around 2013) and learn about aggression , disregard for opinions different from her own ( Germany , Germany over all )

Macron not much different
Your next posting, Polish friendly, sensible pleasure to read .Do you understand the state of confusion on my part ?

Independence is most important thing for one people. Never forget that, Poles.

So listen, holding to my own principles and by the rules of forum, I will give you next news that is strictly on this topic. At the same time I urge on Admin and owner of this web site to protect me from people that here wants to silence my opinion, that is I believe, important in sense that helping to Poles to get full information of world where they live. By informing Poles, I fight for Poland. That is my way. If I am liar, if I don`t speak truth and if that is conclusion of Admins then, sure, I don`t deserve right to speak. Until then, until I`m not confirmed as liar, by the very principles of Polish Sarmatism, from time of glorious and eternal Poland, I shall speak. Let God and our common ancestors protect Poland!

Full of emotions, I bringing you news from Bosnia. From Bosnia, where started story about Second Polish Republic and where started idea from new era of Polish independence. From Bosnia of origin of Polish Jadwiga.

So, in Bosnia today, local Bosnian Serbs, natives to Bosnia, after centuries of foreign rule and rule of Germanic and Turkish satellites, again taking over leading and organizing role in Bosnia. Taking power new Serbian president of Bosnia, supported Bosnian Catholics and literally saved them from being exposed to sharia law most brutally, as being minority within Bosnian entity dominated by Muslims. Serbian President of Bosnia then guaranteed equality to all peoples and religions in Bosnia. Also, he criticized foreign meddling in the region and especially meddling of Austrian ambassador. This time, native Serbs leads Bosnia and Austria is just one of many sides that tries to impose its interests on the region. No, Bosnia isn`t Austrian colony anymore. Bosnia is on the path of freedom. Same I wish to Poles and Poland.

in the middle, Milorad Dodik, Serbia President of Bosnia, by won mandate on elections and on the principle of rotation

I love my wife. Sometimes I tell her that I do. If I did it every 20 minutes, she would tell me to STFU. For two reasons: (1) she already knows it, (2) repetitions take away from the message.

Thank you. See, I think that some people here only pretend that don`t understand me. Pretending not to understand me, they try to stop me. But, I know that I serve Poland. You Poles were first to help us when western Europe already was in business with Turks profiting on our misery. Sure, not that we Serbs didn`t repay our deb`t to Poland but I actually can`t imagine what is actually enough for Serbs to do and that we can honestly say that we repaid our debt to Poles. Turks buried us alive and western Europe rejoiced in it. Then Poles came.

You follow me? Can you imagine person buried alive and then some hand pull person out of the grave? No matter all problems that Poles themselves had because of it, losing tragically even their King Warnenchyk in the process and hero such was Zawisha Czarny.

he is 100% Slavic, in other words our brother

As for my style. It should be recorded that I on Polishforums always acted with a style that now using US President Trump. It means that when one speak basic truth, one simple must pretend to be little bit crazy. Then people start to listen you and while they listen to you, with time, they understand how they received great and valuable message.

How many millions of dead and wounded non-Poles was Poland's freedom worth? Is 40 just right? How about 60? Too many or still not enough?
@ Rich Mazur

Let me answer with the question of my own

How many Russians , Prussians , Germans ,Austrians , French , British and Turks do you think died fighting to free Poland from foreign occupation?
40 mil. sounds insanely inaccurate Zero or nearly zero is about right.40 mil. looks like snowman in hell. Going...going...go...oh hell just disappeared.

Poland will not sign UN migration pact

That is what is important in this as side political effect. For Poland is now most important not to give advantage to German projects, to which is US opposed. Then, Hungary and Czech Republic. Also very important. For long is Poland, by impression in public media, isolated from other Visegrad members and have some different policy. This is good sign.

Good news everyone:

The even better news is that the Migration Pact has no bearing on the fact that the government wants to bring in millions of Filipinos.

Who needs Soros when we have PiS to open the door to migrants who will never go home?

the government wants to bring in millions of Filipinos

I can see some problems, mostly related to how many Filipinos want to come to Poland and freeze their tropical @sses off for Polish wages (as opposed to German or Scandinavia....)

In terms of culture it's not a terrible clash (especially to the extent that they draw from the catholic majority) and they have pretty good work ethic on the whole and their record (AFAIK) on assimilation in Europe is pretty good. Not sure about the crime element...

But language will be an issue, Filipinos tend to be multilingual (usually English and a couple of Phillipine languages) but Polish is going to be an uphill challenge...

I heard of a plan (several years ago) to train Filipinas in Poland to be nurses but I don't think it went anywhere...

Let us be clear here. Strangers in one country to some degree are even positive thing for society. Problem is that countries like Germany, France and Britain, vulgarized term `multi-culturalism` to the extreme.

I wonder how many of them will use Poland as their entry gate to get jobs in Germany...here they are sought desperatedly for example as nurses in care homes.

Nah...we are ALL serbs, after all! :)
