Well, sorry for what I am about to say - but it just goes to prove that some of the most stupid people in the world are American..Amercian lady (lady who's she trying to kid!) just proved it!

Well anti-immigration deals with not wanting immigration due to any number of factors, one of them being over-population.

Racism deals with attitudes towards others that depends solely on what race they are.

Now for your next lesson, work on your reading comprehension-i.e. i did not write all Poles are racist, I wrote that I've met many. It was a RESPONSE to the THREAD TITLE.

But I'll soften it for you so you don't feel defensive ok? I've met many people who have some attitudes that could be described as racist-that in itself did not make them bad people as i think everyone has attitudes in some way shape or form that could be described as "racist."

Poles look so much better than other nationalities that they cause a natural sense of inferiority to them,which transforms to hardcore racism against Slavs.In fact it is fear of slavic superiority.

That is why I think westerners tolerate Indians,Pakistanis,Blacks,Asians but they feel a hatred towards Poles,Russians,Serbs etc.Because they make them feel powerless.

you may be on to something there, i think racism definitely has a "fear" aspect to it. Now fear of what is debatable, but you did make a good point (wittingly or not).

In fact, if anything, Poles are the most Anglo-Saxon looking of the eastern Europeans..

Poles look totally slavic with some german mix.They are easy to recognize.You may confuse them sometimes with ukrainians or czechs but not so easily with westerners.

What matters is the fear they cause.There is certain feel of white power in Poland,everybody senses that.They may not move and be aggresive but you are afraid what is going to happen when they actually move.All this quiet,slavic power is frightening.They set them apart from the others,do not integrate so easily.And slavic values are a bit different than western values.

Going back to the subject here... I think that Poles are extremely racist - we are especially anti-Semitic, but also racist against Arabs, Blacks etc. I'm not particularly happy about it, nor proud, but if you can read Polish language then I suggest you visit one of the bigger polish online news sites (wp.pl, onet.pl, etc) and checkout some readers comments under the news. They are full of anti-Semitism and all kinds of racism. Now have in mind that those comments are heavily censored - which means that either there are many more even worst opinions that never make to the point of publication, or the censors themselves have racist views and pick and choose from more extreme and racist comments.

Stupid Americans? Why is it that America gets blamed for everything? I know there are a great deal of stupid people in the world, but when discussing Americans the word stupid is included as if that is part of the title. Who are you and where are you from? Oh, Stupid American. Last time I checked, my geographic placement had more to do with where my ancestors moved and not from a choice I made. I choose to be an American at this time in my life because it is where those I love live, but that doesn't make me stupid. Most of the Polish people I know choose to make America where they live because it is a land where anyone willing to work hard can make something of their life.

Racist? My Polish friend Grzegorz told me just after we met that everyone is a bit racist. It took me a while to admit it, but I think he is 100% correct. We all have some racist in us. Admit it or not. That is your decision.
