Is this one big sad hell hole or does it just pretend to be one?

No it's just you.

well, when actually reading this forum you can get this impression...

We in Poland believe that Texas is a conservative, redneck hole. Am I wrong?

we'll talk after you visit :)

ItsAllAboutME:

as to you: people of this forum who are bashing Poland aren't Polish at all, they are just frustrated locked up in a basement human-wanna-be's... Poles of this forum will stand by their country no matter what...

BTW ItsAllAboutMe, where do you live in TX?

Still don't know what polish have to be proud of.
What have they ever achieved apart from being invaded and not fighting back?. Can't undterstand polish nationalism. Are you just proud becuase you have no other country to be proud of like a man with an only son.?

We in Ireland were invaded but we always fought back at least

i guess you should read more history books...

yes, and when you were so poor you could't feed your family, you got in a boat and spread like mold to other continent...

I am not Polish by birth, but I live in Poland, and now have dual nationality. and I am proud of what Poland represenets, maybe there are faults, but every country has pros and cons, and well maybe I don't agree on ervything that is happening here in Poland, I'll fly my flag in faith that one day it will be better, that one day it will be a country to be truly proud of, but that change takes time, takes patience and well I'm happy to put the hard work in, maybe it will count, maybe not but surely it is better to live with hope then in the anger and resent you seem to live in.

Google 'Ireland demographics' and tell me I do not have a point folks.
It is that bad. There are two meat factories near my town which Irish people are too proud to work in so these damned 'labour agencies' drag polish, east timor, lithuanians, etc etc. (think of any counrty you've never heard of before) and they are coming. First thing they do is get pregnant and head to the welfare office. It's beyond a joke.

Ireland is finished if we don't do something fast. Most Irish agree

And this, my friends, is why I'd rather live in Poland than put up with the xenophobic nonsense that you hear from the Brits and Irish on a regular basis about the Polish.

Of course, the fact that he's online during an ordinary work day in Ireland tells you all you need to know ;)

Now why go down to his level?

He's just a total insecure dick - and possibly deformed: he must have loads of different holes in his arse to talk so much sh1te in so many directions.

Then do something about it. The UK and Ireland have the ability to opt-out of EU policies on immigration, visas, and asylum. Apparently most Irish don't agree with you, or else they would have done something by now.

Now, to the topic at hand... I suppose lack of exposure can make some people act bigoted and xenophobic, but for the most part, it simply isn't true here. There is a vocal minority, but the vast majority consists of normal people that don't have a problem with foreigners.

No politician will tackle the issue as all Irish politicians are like little girls and are afraid of being labelled 'xenophobic' by the ultra left wing media.

so vote for those who doesn't afraid and leave us alone.

Come to Ireland and see... it's a joke. Love my country just like you love yours but it's gone to the dogs with uncontrolled immigration. Not anti -immigration. Just very anti mass-immigration.

Ireland4ever, it's not Poles' fault that they grasped their chance and use it. Those people who live in Ireland did not earn for your hate. They just want to use the opportunity that world and its political order gives them. You'd do the same if you were on these Poles place.

Indeed, it's not that difficult. Form a political party, get your men in the Dail and leave the EU. Job done.

yes she lives in Texas

that's the common remote impression derived from media/popculture information

What have they ever achieved apart from being invaded and not fighting back?

wow. learn a little bit a history before saying such stuff. I've send you on pm an example of battle of Vienna which saved rest of the Europe from becoming a part of Ottoman Empire. Poland always fought back. During partition there were many uprisings.

Have you heard about Warsaw Uprising? During II war Poles fought almost on every front. Polish army in 1939 wasn't strong enough to repell attack from both sides (Germany and Soviet Union) but still they were heroes not like French who did not have any special will to fight.

On what knoledge do you derive such statments?? Actually do you have any? Do you know anything about Polish history?!

Glad to see I've upset you people. Polish must be very emotional!!

Most people in Ireland feel there should be less immigration. Just because we don't walk around with huge banners saying it does n't mean we don't feel it.

You can resort to insults if you want... it just means my posts have had the intended effect.

I 'm just sick of the arrogance of polish people which is really just an inferiority complex after being done up the ass by the germans and russians for so long before America handed you your independance. You were better off under russian rule... at least your 'motherland' could feed you. What have you done with independance....? Immigrated to IrelandSki!

I work in an office by the way. I'm posting this crap in between doing my work. Shusssss! Don't tell my boss... he thinks I'm doing the accounts.

Some are and some aren't.

The students I teach are cultured enough but I see many boors around outside of teaching. There is no way in God's Earth that they stand at podiums preaching the virtues of tolerance. I've heard some appalling instances of it which shouldn't be mentioned here.

and/or worked in Western Europe since 1980.

Is the implication that simply living in Europe turns you gay?

That is a pretty hardcore list though.

Anyway, Poland has Muslims, Gays, Jews, Blacks, Russians, Germans, just about everything one might imagine. The number is increasing year after year, so it can't be that bigoted and xenophobic..

The only person who insulted you is your fellow countryman (Teffle). If your intention was to troll (as you have already acknoledged) you should be banned.

So your break in work lasts few hours or are you screwing your boss and pretending to work?

Gays cannot donate blood

Interesting another Texan obsessed about Poland. FYI homos are not allowed to do that in US either.

WASHINGTON, DC, June 14, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The federal Advisory Committee on Blood Safety and Availability (ACBSA) voted 9-6 Friday to maintain current blood-donation rules, which effectively forbid practicing homosexuals from donating blood.

Specifically, the rules defer any prospective blood donor if he is a man who has had sex with another man since 1977, approximately the beginning of the AIDS outbreak.

Perhaps you should clean up the laws in your own country first

Radio Maryja screams anti-Semitic and nationalistic messages.

How do you know? Have you actually listen to them? Rhetorical question since you live in Texas.

The Romas are treated with discrimination and outright aggression.

The practice of lynching has been part of American history since before America was a nation. In the American Southwest, people of Mexican or African descent often fall prey to the virulence of mob violence, as recently as November 3, 1910; white citizens of the small ranching community of Rock Springs, Texas lynched a young Mexican cowboy to death. Outright aggression? I’ll say.

Any more observation on the part of Texan as to what’s wrong with Poland? Perhaps you should look no further than the tip of your nose, your own back yard so to speak.

I knew a Pole who was once. Oh, really? I knew a Pole once who wasn't (imagined conversation between fishwives). It sums it up really.

What I will say is that it'd be more prevalent were Poland to be swamped like other European countries have been. Otherwise, they have their lives to get on with.

Are we? Her reference to the discrimination of Romas is no different the the attitude of Texans to the minorities. Sure the extreme incidence don't happen on a daily basis but I don't see peoples attitude changing in the past 10 years either.

You guys are so cute when you get all worked up...

You're still missing the point. Discrimination is wrong anywhere, in Texas and in Poland. Your answer to my question is basically, Yeah, we're racists and nationalists and homophobes but it's totally ok because other nations are too.

Short, can you like close your eyes, clench your teeth and squeeze your butt real tight and try to come up with an actual point to your posts?

Yeah, we're racists and nationalists and homophobes but it's totally ok because other nations are too.

Sorry to tell you the sad truth about the world. We don't live in la la land and such phenomenoms will never disapear from Earth. You can only live your life and be a good person on your own.
