Extremely Hard - Polish the hardest language to learn

We all do.

Do you want to play a moron? Do it with another idiot like yourself.

Actually, you don't have to. You are.

Memo to non-idiots: If a guy can self-identify as a woman, he can lie about it to the police, juries, EMTs, doctors, and "her" fiancee.

In the history of trans idiocy, there was never a case of some moron asking doctors to make the freak any gender other than either a man or a woman. Duh!

That means there are only two genders and annoying morons.

Do you want to play a moron? D

No, I can't be bothered to play you. You are boring.

What's this got to do with the Polish language?

Thank you, jon. At last somebody's steering the discussion back to the original conversation thread!

Two sexes, many genders. Some societies have had third, fourth and more genders for millennia

What does THIS have to do with the Polish language?
At least don't lie...

Yes.

Sometimes I wish there were fewer complex sentences in Polish. I translated a popular crime novel for a publisher a while ago and some of the sentences were like r*SSian Dolls with clauses nested inside each other.

Actually, I find German academic writing for example, sometimes with those extended adjective constructions,
much more difficult than any Polish sentences I've encountered!

Polish is challenging to foreigners for her counting quirks, perfective/imperfective verbs and
morphological permutations, German for her often dizzying sentence length, myriad plural varieties, above all,
random grammatical gender assignment. Thank heavens I learned the latter as a kid. It made learning Polish
some thirty years hence far easier.

Polish is

All the grammar points you mentioned are what they are and not that hard. When translating out of Polish you don't need to have every characteristic at the tip of your fingers as if you were translating into it. You need to know what the source material is saying and why the writer has used the form they chose however some writers who are trying to be formal can be especially verbose. It's not a good habit in Polish either however it's certainly very common.

I am in the process of unlearning for the reasons you just mentioned.
If I ever turn into a masochist, I will find a more pleasant way to inflict pain on myself than going back to Polish.

Rich, as I've always maintained, such remains YOUR particular issue with your Polish
mother tongue, not mine!

I am simply not buying your advice to learn Mongolian just because I plan to spend a week in Mongolia.

There's have a long standing tradition of gangs who like snatching tourists off the street, dragging them into a yurt and bumming them so he'll probably love it so much he'll apply for citizenship.

The rumour says that a certain man from Britain called Miłasław once tried to try such milk from a mare. He did, actually and liked it a lot. However, imagine his bewilderement later on when he learnt it wasn`t a mare, but a stallion. Ha!!! He did it when drunk, of course. Those male Brits!
