Well, more like she lives in Poland and never heard it used in a derogatory manner. She just know's that it's used in reference to a person from Poland. I do see your point though. Racial slurs IMO are just a bit more harsh.

The PL people in NJ that I know aren't offended by it either. I say it in front of my girlfriend and she doesn't even care. It all depends on the context I guess.

I think I've actually seen them :) This small boy was smoking cigarettes :/, but I didn't know they were gypsies. I assumed that they were darker then your average Pole (besides the tanning tracksuit wearers). I always see the same kids whenever I'm there too. Moonlighting- Just pay attention to the voltage of whatever you're plugging into the converter....like an Iron. You'll need a seperate adapter for that. Maybe you should also bring a spare fuse or 2 :)

These statistics show that it's similar to any counrty usually at least 90% of people are law abiding citizens( or at least get away with it). It appears that we have much more crime because we are so f*cking huge. The percentages are about the same worldwide.
