History / What do Poles owe to Jews? [586]

@Novichok
Your lucky then, in Norway the "Sami" are still considered immigrants according to national statistics. Despite them living in northern parts of modern day Norway before the state of Norway came to existence.

I mean, if your line of thought was a reality everywhere and a group who would come to power in the U.S.A that deemed you or your kids to be operated away like a surgeon, then having to flee america. Your chances of survival would be quite slim

Your acting as if weak men is an imagination only, I have a hard time believing you wouldn't break during a whipping by Roman legionaries.

Just because you don't have faith, doesn't mean your right you know

You should be happy you don't live in Tsarist Russia then. That's exactly the type of mindset they had about any minorities they deemed hostile towards the Russian state.

Forgiving them, not protecting them. Just cause they refute arguments from people who have left the church. Doesn't automatically mean there are no consequences, if there are no consequences. Then the administration should do something about it.

I am a sickfuck, thankfully I can control myself from doing sick things.

Not everyone is normal, I can only thank Jesus Christ for redeeming me and making me able to live. Which you most likely will never understand

You both seem to misunderstand me, I wouldn't give them a free pass at all. If it was up to me only,I would had had thrown them out of the church (not talking about the building) and let vultures eat them while they starve for what they had done.

Which makes it commendable that the Clergymen have found it in their heart to forgive them and give them a chance, again and again. Knowing that it's them that will have to wear the brunt of that decision.

So don't think I am a saint, just cause I look up to them.

-.-
Normal tools which society use, social ostracism, isolation of the person from rest of society (which usually leads to contacting criminal elements as they are the only ones to contact him/her), imprisonments, interrogations, branding the person as an unbeliever/heretic/witch/crazy

You name it, the tools that have been used have varied throughout history. Towards patriotism in particular many scholars have linked it equally with nationalism which is a fatal error. Pushing genuine patriots into the arms of right wing monsters.

You think you have the same responsibilities as a Catholic priest? Just because Clergymen are paranoid about today's society doesn't mean you are justified to perform a crime.

You are aware of confessions? It's obligations? Just like a journalist can't always tell his/her sources doesn't mean they are automatically a criminal.

You are judging by worldly standards, which is enough information for me.

That's right, same in Sweden basically. Not sure about U.S.A, but I read and hear a lot of complaints. But the U.S.A is the land of complaints and criticism.

@Lenka
In those countries football is the last place which one can show ones patriotism for their own country, otherwise feeling or being connected to it in any way is dealt with rather harshly.

That's mischievous of you, you know perfectly well that I consider it to be their own responsibility first and foremost. Unless they get misguiding information in school.

it is not nornal coz they are suposed to be holier than us, ordinary sinners.

They are supposed to teach the Bible, and so you are supposed to hear what they say. They don't have the time to adhere to you personal opinion of how to behave in public. Being ordained a priest doesn't make one a saint automatically, you are delusional about the role of priests in a society.

Priests get attacked all the time, your unwillingness to help them out in any manner speaks volumes about your cluelessness about their way of life or your hatred for them. Clergy aren't the only members of the church, so get a grip on yourself.

You trying to take those matters in your own hands speaks volumes of your EGO. If there were a cover up, you wouldn't have known it most likely. These thing are being probed and taken care of like nothing before, if you think rest of the church is taking this likely. You are gravely mistaken, which show again your bias

You can suggest to us how you will educate your pupils in 10 days. Unless it's not a subject you are interested in or you are not responsible to educate them about such events.

One of the primary tasks of school besides educating facts, is also social behavior and group rules. To avoid educating or even telling pupils about patriotism is a grave error as it roots them out of the Polish community. One can't fully comprehend Poland without patriotism, just like not teaching about freedom in U.S.A or social etiquette in Japan or the importance of bread in France.

Patriotism isn't just a feeling, it's a duty, loyalty and wishing the good of the country. Unless you want the country to go down the drain, I have a really hard time understanding why patriotism is bad.

Your funny I must admit

Most youth today have lost hope in pair bonding from looking at their biological parents and how their own generation behaves. Then looking at divorce rates, criticizing the church while ignoring how they behave themselves.

Don't need to be a genius to figure out that a person living on Instagram all day more focused on taking pictures or looking at their smartphone all day is pretty much useless to invest themselves into. Emotionally, financially... Anything really

School taught me patriotism, for example, to some extent tolerance (towards Jews, for example), that neo-Nazism is bad

Which is to be expected in any Polish school

Catolicism is the only option and all the other Faith's should be crushed even by force would that be ok?

Who gave you that idea? In a public school that would depend on it's local community, parents, teachers and the principle. There is a program to be followed by the ministry of education.

Defending your children from bad influence is not the same as trampling other children. If their parents don't want the best for their kids, that's their choice.

The church is for humankind and not only for the purpose of one nation believe it or not. I pay attention what happened outside of Poland and who sides with those outside forces. Don't tell me you ignore such things on purpose?

In my experience there are more group loyalists then believers. Cow towing to unbelievers, when they are wrong is misleading the youth instead of guiding them.

News / Chances of Poland in case of war between EU (ie western Europe) and Visegrad Group ? [80]

Why worry so much about Merkelland or Putinland?

As long as Poland is within EU&NATO there is no need to worry. We can build, create, eat, work and even watch football on tv how our NT loses or wins without losing hope for the future. Isn't it wonderful?

Comparing to how the world was right after ww1, it's great.

Now now, shouldn´t you be happy about having your squad of sausage eaters traveling to the british isles without having to worry about flaks hitting their airplane? Technology is such a marvelous invention, think of it. 5 000 years ago would could only compete with your nearest tribe, and now? You are able to compete with England
