I know, Scandinavia is basically like a kindergarten with soft pillows under their armpits. Now I love the real life in Poland. Full of adventure :D

Even tho it's one of the safest places in the world ironically.

No need to get riled up about my perception of rugby, I am no expert in it

Congratulations, however that may of course be partly, as much as, or more of a reflection on the other players as your own skills.

We were all amateurs during that one match, with no experience in rugby. It wasn't about skills

What made you think it's about skills? In Norway everyone get's a medal for participation, skill contests aren't a reality past 18. Unless it changed, which I highly doubt.

Well the French were under the English in times of medieval Europe either they like it or not. There is also a reason why I write here in English and not French, French used to be compulsory in my family. Now, not very much so.

Except of those speaking French here on the forum and their enthusiasts. I have very little regard for France, something French or their language. I have met French people in real life, and their men have never seemed impressive to me for one bit.

As a history enthusiast I still haven't gotten over certain things. Despite English football fans behaving badly during their recent match with Germany, the shameful kissing up to Stalin by the labeour government right after ww2. Which communists in Poland always wanted to blame Churchill for, which has been brainwashing propaganda ever since and can hear it echoed by plenty of Poles wether the topic of bad emotions towards the U.K pop up.

It's hard to say that there is anything else but, indifference towards France.

France? What of it? Why even bother mentioning them? They obviously did not care for Gdańsk, why should I know?

I wrote it from my own perspective, when I was a teenager and the gym teacher wanted to see how it would do with the class. It felt great as I easily scored all the time, nobody could stop me.

It was tried only once tho.

I also implied metaphorically at the same time, as Americans basically play locally American football. Even if there are other teams internationally, it's basically only the U.S society that cares about it.

Just like winter sports in Norway, Icehockey in Canada etc. some sports just take a lot of space in different society's

Rugby in English past controlled countries Australia, New Zealand and Ireland etc

The more contact/victories/meaning the greater the attention it gets.

To be fair, guys playing it aren't very frail. No wonder it's gaining popularity in Poland. I tried rugby once, seemed too easy for me. Was fun tho, but if I am the only one liking it. Hard to organize it internationally then.

Not really, in my experience Polish hospitality has come off as needy. To my great dissatisfaction, I love being gregarious and hospitable. When people don't appreciate it, or start behaving like an cat. I get rather agitated and sour

And increases resistance to high dopamine levels, so to feel as happy/successfully/victorious again.

One doses it more to gain the same amount of feeling again, which wrong. The more rarely one does something, the higher the enjoyment is from doing it.

By reducing the resistance you have for dopamine built inside your body, by reducing the amount time doing it. You build resistance to the time you don't have it (which is most of the time).

News / Unfulfilled promises by PiS [555]

Wow, amazing! Yes, I know, Europa Universalis etc. I never played that game, I prefered Imperialism 1 and 2.

Never tried Imperialism 1 or 2, want to tell me about it?

I used to play EU 2, and I play EU IV quite often. Having a run as Defending Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Years is close to 1800, didn't start any wars on my own. They were either through events, or dragged into one thanks to allies that were attacked or somebody attacking a Catholic state as defender of the faith.

It went really well for a long time until last ~30 years in the game. There was no religious war in the HRE, got Sweden as Union Partner through inheritance which the Moscovites challenged and lost their capitol for it.

Spain nr one in terms of great power thanks to colonies mainly, Ottomon Empire nr two thanks to Imperial conquest (They mainly attacked their religious "brethren" since Poland and Austria was too scary most of the time.) and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth which I play thanks to land development. Spending as much as possible on cheapest possible advisors, let me create basically zero tension while growing economically without having to declare any wars.

In my experience, being genuinely friendly gives a surprise and regular contact brings rather smiles and pleasant communication.

American accent and/or fake politeness, won't get you much

Opps, it didn`t come to my mind, I must admit. You sound like Machiavelli now. :):)

I had my fair share of testing different styles of governing/government through computer games and political intrigue and plotting/plans from movies. I've had some experience with acting, and to act as a villain I had to understand that mentality aswell, talking and behaving.

I took a scientific/testing approach, I found it entertaining at the time. Didn't know about the consequences.
So when I picture myself a political group governing I can easily expect what type of governing it could be. Depending on the groups past traditions of behavior and line of thought.

I thought Lewica made an unholy deal recently, and rest of the opposition were pushing them in to PiS arms. Leaving Lewica out of government would mean them being side by side PiS as the opposition

Of course not. I want a wide coalition. Even with Konfa. :):):)

To obtain power, and basically blame bad decisions on them. Especially when security forces are used against PiS and Lewica?

It's very difficult to get good quality teachers, especially in the districts in general. Most quality teachers prefer higher salaries, higher titles and deeper dive in to their favorite subjects.

The generational behavior doesn't help either, good quality teachers for the ages of 7-14 is rare.

Urbanization and competition with a capitol doesn't help either

I rather not write about it right now, my emotional rant is over for today. I apologize for waking up your curiosity.

Wanted to share a picture from park Skaryszewski yesterday. The file is too large tho (2,4 mb I think)

Lovely flower garden next to the rock commemorating allied bomber pilots dying during the Warsaw uprising.

I wish I could, but living most of my life in Norway I have seen what it did to Norway. Having it repeated is the last thing I want for Poland.

I have no wish of moving out of Poland, so I would have to fight tooth and nail if I have to. There is no other alternative, no other place on earth to seek refuge from this madness

With flat earthers trending, I wouldn't be surprised if politicians decide to allow only flat A4 maps of the globe. :)

Rainbows used to be something rare to see while there was sunlight while raining. It used to get me excited when I saw one and even take pictures and have it as a conversational topic. Now, every time I see it real or portrayed by anyone and even on commercial bags. It reminds me of the political topics about sex, perverts, hedonism, sexual acts that I find personally revolting.

I have a very vivid imagination so it takes very little to trigger stuff like that for. Possibly for them too, forcing me to battle with my mind constantly on every tram, commercial board or pictures on the internet pushes me towards insanity.

To put it mildly, it doesn't wake positive emotions in me anymore. I know who to thank for it too. So there is no reason to act surprised @pawian

I suggest trying out KETO, it helps with improving brain function. Especially dementia, you and your president could need it I reckon.

No, it's not meant as an insult. But, as it can be taken as one. I do apologize

The laws about those things have changed dramatically since 1980's. One year you aren't officially allowed two passports, next you are allowed! Maybe in two years it changes again. It's not that clear and I have no intention of schooling myself with new laws taking place constantly. I am no politician or advocate

Definitely not
That's only the Labour Party's view and those on the left as long as you accept the society to be without any class, while having a king as head of state and party connections behaving like a depraved elite.

While the right side of politics think of anyone who has immigrated or have an immigrant parent (even one) is basically a visiting foreigner and maybe their kids might one day be Norwegian.

So no, your wrong
