Funny. You did say 6'2 isn't unusual in Poland when it's not that common for Poles to be over 6 feet tall. It makes me wonder if you really are 6'2 because you don't seem to have a very accurate perception of the Polish population.

The tallests are Dutch and Serbs but Italians seems midgets in comparsion even to Poles.

According to you. Average height surveys indicate Italians are very similar in height compared to Poles and Brits.

What kind of friend do you think parents would like for their child's best friend? Good student, hard working, somebody that would be good influence.

I'm just asking that because you made it seem like Polish students are supposed to be hard-working. Based on the Polish immigrants I've met, that is not the case.

No one talks about such things except for children and those with unrealistic views of the world.

The idea of Slavic identity is something very few people care about. Especially considering that some Slavic-speaking nationalities have very bad relations with other Slavic-speaking nationalities. You constantly see Crow here talking about his "love" for Poland but ironically many of the Serbs I've met hate Poles and Ukrainians.

Although I am more likely to trust Harry on Polish law considering he does live in Poland.

Interesting thread though and I'm sure many might find it useful. Especially for those who get a Polish woman pregnant and want to know how to deal with the problems afterwards.

I think so, they seem to marry much earlier, become mothers much earlier. I don't think there are many single women around after 22 or so here

Well, in most countries women do get married early except for certain parts of the USA and certain parts of western Europe because women there are more career-oriented. In New England, it's rare to find a middle class woman that marries before the age of 25.

Think about it, there are tons and tons of Polish professional models, not so many men.

Almost every European country has a significant amount of female models but you're right, Polish men are not exactly the most handsome on earth. The few that are handsome probably have German lineage.

Smurf, you sure you're not just having trouble getting Irish women? We have a lot of American women here of Irish descent and a lot of them are quite pretty. So either your description of women in Ireland isn't accurate or all the good-looking Irish people moved to America.

German men are the most desired of all foreigners by Polish women. The statistics back that up too considering marriages between German men and Polish women far outnumber marriages between Irish men and Polish women, or any other foreign men.

Only a fool or troll would suggest Grazyna Czubinska research is based on Polish women as a whole.

The Daily Mail's title for the article clearly states that it's about Polish women moving to the UK.

Also, the OP stated he was talking about his British friend dating a Polish woman. I'm going to assume this took place in the UK.

So the church is just trying to repress women, not spread the word of God.

Well, I think it has more to do with how Poles treat religion. Spain and Italy are Catholic-majority countries but Spaniards and Italians don't make a big deal out of female masturbation.

Nonetheless, Catholicism is not a sola scriptura religion. The Bible might not specify female masturbation as being a sin, but the Catechism of the RCC does.

You are focusing on Polish women over western counterparts

I'm talking about Polish women in the context of the thread topic. The OP was talking about his British friend dating a Polish woman (and probably in the UK).

Also, some of the article's claims can be applied to Polish women in Poland. For example, you see one Polish woman in the article talking about how British men are more attractive than Polish men. Polish women might not be sexually turned on as much when their only options are Polish men.

Well, those moving abroad are. As for Polish women in Poland, probably not. However, I think in the cities they are since they're exposed to more attractive foreign men.

Poles don't completely have the western mindset though. Maybe those in the cities do, but those in the villages certainly don't. The other day, I tried to explain to a Polish woman the advantages of the Blu-Ray media format over the standard DVD. She just couldn't understand the convenience of it. This is something a Westerner wouldn't have trouble understanding.

You also don't seem to have much of a western mindset either since you brought up Gameboy. I'm in my 20s and I remember that thing being popular when I was a little kid here in America. Perhaps it's just getting popular now in the former communist countries of Europe?

Crow, this statement alone shows you either didn't read the title properly or you don't know anything about haplogroups.

I1 is a subclade of the I haplogroup. I1 originated from the Scandinavian areas and is most common among the Germanic populations. Your map shows concentrations of both I1 and I2. The reason the Balkans have high concentrations on your map is because they have a significant I2 frequency.

Well...she does have a point. Compared to western Europe, Poland is rather anti-Semitic, xenophobic, and just...weird. It's like it culturally doesn't belong in the EU.

You said on one of your comments - When I was at school in the US there were a few PolAM guys in class who were good but the top positions were either ChineseAms, IndianAms or Russian (mostly Jewish).

So what? That's the truth. I grew up in the United States and I can definitely confirm that Russian Jewish-Americans, Chinese-Americans, and Indian-Americans perform much better academically than most Poles or Polish-Americans.

On one rainy day when I was in Warsaw, I noticed that drivers were very inconsiderate of pedestrians on the sidewalk. They did not avoid or at least slow down when driving through puddles which splashed all over the unfortunate ones walking by.
