Law / Will my friend have to pay back half the loan his ex-wife took out in Poland? [22]

At the time of divorce they should have mentioned about joint assets, loans, credits etc. If this is mentioned in the divorce decree then he is obliged to pay the loan partially. Also as per the law if two people are married and if anyone buys a property, assests or takes a credit it has to be borne by the both the person. It is also important to know how was divorce decree made, was it no fault divorce or was it husband or wife side fault divorce.

News / Will todays tragedy effect the economy of Poland? [34]

Poland's financial markets remained stable on Monday, in line with expectations of most analysts and despite some concern about possible negative reactions following Saturday's tragic death of i.a. Poland's President Lech Kaczynski and NBP head Slawomir Skrzypek.

Lack of market reaction is a proof of institutional strength and maturity of the state, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. analysts told Parkiet daily.

Poland will see increased foreign investments, already visible in the growth in number of projects at the Polish Agency for Foreign Investment PAIiIZ to 138 from 77 in the same period last year, head of PAIiIZ Slawomir Majman told the daily Rzeczpospolita.

Investments will be damped by the scarcity of capital abroad however, he added.

Germany dropped out from the foreign investment leadership, while increased interest is seen from Japan and South Korean, Majman said adding that in terms of sectors leaders are automotive, aviation, BPO and IT.

News / Who will be the next President of Poland? [51]

All of the above is true. In addition - Tusk is not his real name, he changed it.
His real name is Moshe Tuskenbaum (he had to change his name when his cover
as a North Korean spy was blown).

*rolls eyes*

Never heard of that.

Feedback / Why are threads deleted or send off topic list? [65]

I am wondering why do the delete the threads or move to off-topic categories? I made a recent thread about the Volcano and the problems with the air flights in europe and now it is been moved to off topic category. This is not off topic as it is the latest thing happening and affection many peoples travelling plans. Who decides the deletion or movement of threads to another categories?

Love / Marriage in Poland (civil ceremony, need advice on documents). Indian girl. [36]

Getting married in Poland is not easy as what is told by other people. It is much easier to get married in India then in Poland. As Indian you need a certificate that you are single and free to marry, This certificate Indian embassy doesn't not issue nor does any ministry in India. The only way to get married in Poland is that you need to go to the court in Poland and apply in court that they can allow you to marry without this certificate which can take couple of months and later then get a date for marriage in civil court which can take another couple of months. While in India it is easier go to the civil court with your fiance with passport and another piece of id (eg: driving license) and register the marriage and after a month you can marry. If you need info u can ask me :)

I reconfirmed with the customer service and they said it is working but showed cancelled on the website this was before 12 hours of departure, he asked to called again before 6 hrs to check and when I called was cancelled. So I dont know if I should rely on the website. If anyone has been to warsaw airport can be much help. Thanks.

These girls are one of our mother and sister too, so please stop using these statement against them. Woman consider man as bank account is not just in India I guess, It is all over the world. Again depends what kind of woman you are with :) Same can be said about a man who can be with a girl for a money.

Go to Germany. Many cars on the Polish market have already been bought in Germany and had a few token repairs done (if at all) for a 20% rise in price.

I have also heard about holland and switzerland, how far is it true?

Law / Settlement permit (married to a Polish guy) [2]

To apply for permanent residence card (Karta Stalego pobyt) one has to me married and be living 3 years continously without a break of more then 6 months out of the country in one consecutive year. So in your case have to wait for another 1.5 years. I hope this helps.
