love_sunil80 14 | 127 16 Apr 2010 #1I am wondering why do the delete the threads or move to off-topic categories? I made a recent thread about the Volcano and the problems with the air flights in europe and now it is been moved to off topic category. This is not off topic as it is the latest thing happening and affection many peoples travelling plans. Who decides the deletion or movement of threads to another categories?
Admin 29 | 1,484 Administrator 16 Apr 2010 #3Answer:Because you don't care to think before posting. For example, you posted this thread in "Everyday Life" and that means you don't care about the answer (if you did, you'd have posted it in the FAQ and Help section). This is not off topic as it is the latest thing happening and affection many peoples travelling plans. Who decides the deletion or movement of threads to another categories? In your post you never mentioned anything about Poland being in any way affected (and Europe doesn't always = Poland).
OP love_sunil80 14 | 127 16 Apr 2010 #4Thanks for your help. I will surely remember this next time :)
alexw68 26 Aug 2010 #7Post moved from another thread.Moderator, there's no easy way to say this - assuming we are referring to my photo link and convex's reply to that, your response to the above post is both inadequate and, well, wrong. The posts you deleted were on topic in their original context - which is its own argument for NOT merging the threads in the first place if you find, later, that they are not.Unless, of course, you are of the opinion that they were off-topic in their original location. In which case, the decision to remove betrays a simple failure to grasp humour - really not an ideal quality for someone in your position. If you want users to have some level of confidence in what you do (and, looking around the board, said confidence is in pretty short supply) you might want to think about this. For starters, and as a general rule, don't delete what you perceive to be off-topic. Don't merge threads unless absolutely necessary. Feel free, of course, to advise and admonish (as I believe I've seen you do elsewhere, and effectively) before getting the scissors out. Thanks, A (who understands, as a mod elsewhere, what your pressures are. But please - stop taking short-cuts)
plk123 8 | 4,138 26 Aug 2010 #8this must be the work of the newest mod.. he also seems to get a hardon for renaming thread titles unnecessarily (as they were up to thread title creation rule) and to something that doesn't necessarily match the intent of OPs.this willy-nilly moderating is starting to get rather tiring..- Stay on topic. If your post is not related to this thread, and of course this merge doesn't even follow this rule.. it's not related to this thread at all.. wtf??
A_New_Commer 19 May 2011 #9Merged: Admin really sux! I posted a thread but cannot find it.I posted Thread and can't find it. It was about wages!Message to Admin. You really suck! Why would you delete posts? You belong to early Soviet???
pgtx 29 | 3,145 19 May 2011 #10if you posted your thread in a wrong section, just like this thread shouldn't be in 'news and politics', it was moved elsewhere. please, you all read the forum rules before start posting. thanks.
Maaarysia 19 May 2011 #11It was probably merged with another similar thread. You should use search function first.Look I found it for you:Polish WagesPSMods the guy is not registered user and he won't find the answers for this thread if it is in off-topic section.
Daisy 3 | 1,224 19 May 2011 #12I posted Thread and can't find itTry joining properly and becoming a forum member, that way you'll be able to see 'off topic' where your thread probably ended up
croggers 7 | 109 30 Nov 2011 #14Merged: Problems posting threads/comments?Seem to be having a few problems posting threads/comments, they don't appear. ARRRRHHHHH, but when using a VPN it shows with no problems (like now). Any clue?
Vincent 9 | 886 30 Nov 2011 #15If you're referring to to threads which you started, that were just random football results and nothing to do with Poland or Poland related, then you will probably find them in the random chat thread (aka the bin). Continuing to do so will also get you a "czerwona karta" so think twice.
croggers 7 | 109 30 Nov 2011 #16Technically this thread has nothing to do with Poland so I guess it's bye bye ..........Funny how there is someone else posting champions league football fixtures/results which also has nothing to do with Poland but nothing is said. Double standards ?
Vincent 9 | 886 6 Dec 2011 #17Double standardsNo double standards. When the competition started there was a Polish team in it, so it was Poland related, as will be Euro 2012 when it starts..
irishguy11 6 | 157 28 Apr 2012 #18Merged: threads are being deletedHi I put up 2 links about a dentist that got her revenge on ex. Both threads were deleted, why?
pgtx 29 | 3,145 28 Apr 2012 #19Because you post it in the wrong place. Maybe next time you'll get it right. Good luck.
pawian 224 | 24,479 29 Apr 2012 #20I made a recent thread about the Volcano and the problems with the air flights in europe and now it is been moved to off topic category.Boring topics are binned.Simple.Go to Volcano Explorers` site to find the audience. :):):):):Hi I put up 2 links about a dentist that got her revenge on ex. Both threads were deleted, why?Because most forum members don`t like to read about dentists, drilling, fillings etc. Simple.

(I was extra cautions)Just out of curiosity, what have I said was deemed so offensive to get the thread deleted? I was being extra cautious to not get offensive in any way, you know.Come on, do speak up, dont be afraid librul. If I dont know what you find so offensive, I cannot avoid it in the future. Some realy inane nonsense have been tolerated (like snake people), but when I think I am being almost civil, the thread gets deleted. I am confusion.

Atch 22 | 4,131 25 Nov 2015 #28It wasn't erased. It was moved by the mods I imagine to the random sports news section in off-topic where I replied to it. Cheers.
Roger5 1 | 1,446 25 Nov 2015 #30Ktos, it may be that they want you to find another forum to troll. You hate everyone and just complain. You're a drag.
