Love / Fresh, wholesome country lass in Poland - getting married and going back to the US [167]

HAHA YEAH OK Shawn........ I highly doubt that, he def only makes $50,000 a year. Can't invest much of that as the cost of living is quite high and that is quite a low income. This guy is clearly not smart enough to know how to invest with what he thinks he knows about women, he doesn't know Sh.it. He prob spends whatever little is left over on sex dolls. LOL

But I will read that book, if its good.

Do they teach personal finance in your institute of higher education?

Haha yes although i start taking my actual 300 level personal Finance class next year. Try reading Rich Dad Poor Dad that's a really good book. Trust me I know how to manage my own money. But just read this thread this guy Polinus his friend clearly is not in the right state of mind. Clearly doesn't live in the real world.

And these thread have a thousand posts on them all, tell me one to read and i'll read it lol :)

Who, this guy?

HAHA that's it we read it before that haha, maybe don't then haha. Well we all had to read it haha and I still though it was very interesting, I mean I did read it before I was even in college before freshman year summer reading, so maybe I should re-read it and see if I still like it LOL. I just ordered the shark tank books, hopefully those will be good, as they are very successful.

Work / Multinational company in Poland - high school diploma , they will check?? [15]

I work for a hospital and they checked into my references where they talked about where I went to school, so you might want to inform them. But as for lying, i'm sorry but that is plain stupid, if you are so qualified otherwise, why did you have to lie??? And if you are so smart then why couldn't you finish high school. But likely for your job since it isn't anything big just a lowball job at least for now they shouldn't do too much checking. But if you hope to move up in the company I would just strongly suggest that you try to get at least your GED online so that you don't have to be dishonest. Not trying to scold you but if you get a better position and they find out you have lied it could really affect things like your benefits not to mention you'll never be getting a good reference from them for any future jobs. Lying on a job application shows a fundamental flaw in character - dishonesty. It is also a type of Fraud.

P.S saying that you are harder working than you really are is a big difference than lying about your credentials. LOL

Just 2 examples I get that this is somewhat bigger than what you did as they are lying about college but still just too show you. (don't get mad)

Biden claimed he attended Syracuse University College of Law on a full academic scholarship and graduated in the top half of the class. He actually received a partial scholarship based on financial aid and finished 76th in a class of 85. This incident, coupled with charges of speech plagiarism, resulted in Biden's termination of his 1988 bid for the presidency. As we all know, his 2010 campaign had a different outcome.

After being expelled from Bowdoin College for plagiarism, Wheeler was admitted to Harvard University claiming he attended an elite high school and MIT. He claimed he wrote several books and he won prize and grant money with plagiarized work. He was outed when he applied for Rhodes and Fulbright scholarships and a professor noticed similarities between his application and the work of a colleague. After he was expelled, he crafted fictitious resumes that he planned to use to apply for an internship or to Yale or Brown University. He was arrested and charged with larceny and identity fraud.

Not sure if making a false Diploma copied from a friends would get you in trouble for fraud.

Study / Homeschooling in Poland - possible to apply? [14]

Have you been to schools in the US???? Only Ghetto city school have those, most dont, ive never been to a school that has them. And Homeschooling isnt popular in the U.S either, we have it yes, but almost all go to actual schools.

As for the whole not growing up right I TOTS agree homeschooled kids are almost always weird, they dont know how to act around people and well they are just weird again lol.

Life / The Polish school? What's it like. [26]

Cyborgs LOL, but NO I have not watched it nor have I ever heard of it at all, but just saying its not a standard for American schools to have metal detectors, and like what Polish schools have no gangs???? I can't even find any stats on Polish school except for universities so its kinda hard to compare so things but still I'm sure Polish schools have gangs in the crappier parts of the country. But I know where I grew up we do not have gangs nor do we have metal detectors just saying its not all of America.

Dude, you're 18, go live, visit Poland it is awesome there, just make sure you learn something being 18 you have to be pretty stupid, lol.

Are you going to college? I hope you are not considering marriage at 18, you should just give your money to a charity if that is the case.

Yes I agree with that, Dont waste all your money go to school!

Also why doesn't she spend her own money to come to the U.S and visit you??? Why do you have to spend all your money to go see her?

Life / My take on Poland - My Top 10 [31]

In the U.S you can't Purchase alcohol In new york from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Although it varies other states are more strict. Alcohol may not be served before 12 Noon on Sunday. Around here ALL bars must close by 2am so after that you cannot purchase anything.

And yes this is a good thing to have as why should anyone be purchasing alcohol as 4am anyway??????

And also here in New York no grocery store can sell any hard liquor. So you cant purchase hard liquor after about 10pm from stores or if you go to a bar then 2am.

Life / My take on Poland - My Top 10 [31]

UMMMM YES what I said is 100% true, I work in new york and so I know when I cant sell it to people. But ill post the link for you anyway.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_laws_of_the_United_States

But while is some areas the whole 2am curfew on serving may be to early as 2am isnt that late but we dont need bars to be open 24/7 and bars to still be serving drunk ass people at 6am in the morning. But it does very state to state and even communities can decide weather or not to be a dry town and such.

Firstly, i feel the same about what I said yesterday.

Firstly I am Polish, When people ask where I am from I say I was born in POLAND.
Secondly I never said anything bad to you until after a while of you saying a load of crap to me.
Thirdly I NEVER said I was more Polish than you
Fourth I do celebrate things like the Polish christmas, We clean the house perfectly, we do the 13 courses. So I do celebrate Polish things and I do know Polish culture.

And I could go on and ON AND ON AND ON

No, she got banned for insulting you after Lenka said stop. Don't try and change things.

Goofy I never said anything that bad to you last night and I waited SOOOO Long to say something back, I even asked you multiple times if you were done taking low ball shots at me.

goofy mochadot18 was only fooling around, she meant no harm, you are confused because you were arguing with bluesfan and delphiandomine.

Pretty much THANK YOU Nile, I shoulda listened to you and just ignored the stupid comment :P

Life / What makes a man a Pole? what does it mean to be a Pole? [187]

shes learning a language ? cool!

Cool I thought it was....

But YOU DONT even live in Poland and just like you it WASN't my choice to leave Poland. But I did live their and was born there I have my Polish passport and I have my Polish Birth Certificate. I Identify myself as being POLISH. Is that really so wrong, and you saying that i'm not polish isnt going to change it. Yes I grew up in the U.S and have accepted that form of lifestyle but my parents have always kept polish things around the house and we do celebrate some of the Polish holidays. We eat polish food in my house, not all the time but we do on occasion.

So when does one (or does one?) cease to be Polish after leaving Poland?

Yes I would like to know when EXACTLY did I lose my Polishness?????

ShawnH: So when does one (or does one?) cease to be Polish after leaving Poland?
Yes I would like to know when EXACTLY did I lose my Polishness?????

So no answer ehhh????

Alrighty then you have really brought my life to a new meaning I mean i'm LOST now not knowing who I am anymore WOW, i'm just stunned.

All i'm saying again is that you have NO IDEA who i even am and what my connection to Poland is, I know I said it yesterday and you just dismissed it so i'll say it again I still have things in Poland things that you don't even have. I plan on going back, which will gain me what 2 points for Polishness, or is that 2 points for gryffindor anywho my blood is no different than yours.

What makes a man a Pole? Why not what makes a person a pole cause if there is different criteria well then I know i'm a women idk exactly what you've decided to be yet but then we would fall under different things. What is the difference for a man from a women to be considered Polish????
