Love / Adultery- Is it ok for Polish women [41]

They are romantic and they do believe in love

Well, lucky those who met girls who are actually romantic. my current gf is 'trying to improve' in being romantic koz im that sort of person. But hats off to her vast improvement in these few months.

However, all the girls I've had in Poland, they ain't that much of a romantic person. Rare to find girls who are more of a 'family' type specially in Krakow.

Love / Foreigners: would you have moved to Poland if it was full of fat/ugly women? [42]

"Foreigners: would you have moved to Poland if it was full of fat/ugly women?"

not really because that was not the first thing to consider. there are other things in life as well to consider. the same applies to may of my European colleagues who gave me this answer!

Life / Moving to Krakow (and other questions) [23]

Kraków besides working in a call center, which pays very poorly.

Are you stupid? OR retarded or something? Why you are misleading this guy? I know thousands of people who makes a decent living from these call centres. Looks like u dont like foreigners, right?

Its true he might not enjoy the same lifestyle as in Britain, but Krakow ain't that expensive either.

Love / Divorce case in Polish court [8]

she didn't try to push something against you?

Well, i hope that she acted in good faith. Because she is even not answering my sms anymore. Dont know if she changed her number.

you will only give her one if she agrees that the divorce is solely due to her fault

How can i do that? I mean can I tell her to write a letter to me or an email with signature or something? Will the court accept it? Or there is another specific procedure for that?

Love / Divorce case in Polish court [8]

My ex and I are separated since a year. She filed a divorce case and I received only one letter from the court saying that she filed a divorce case and that see does not have enough money to pay for the divorce expenses but the government will be supporting her in this case.

The letter i receive was in February 2013.

Now, we are in July, and I still did not receive anything from the court. She said that the court sent me two letters but to be honest I didn't get anything, I told her that I will go to court and ask them, she then told me that don't go now because someone told her if I don't present myself to the court or contact the court regarding this issue, we will automatically get divorce.

Is that true? I am a foreigner and all I want right now is to clear my name with her and go my own way. We are not living together neither sharing sms or sympathy or any kind of affection.

Will I be separated if I don't go to the court and the court will automatically break off this thing?

Thanks for your kind response.

Life / Living Costs and life in Poznan? [70]

But how would you know about the expenses of single life

well.. things changes! And i think would be better to focus on the question rather than intruding in me personal life init?

Also, you apparently live in Krakow, where 2000zl is very little more than the cost of a small-ish appartment.

I would really say no. Because if you rent a room instead of a flat, 800-1000zl/ Month, 500zl food and 100zl travelling in krakow and the reset do whatever you want! i think many people even survive with less than that in Poland/ Krakow, don't they?

Love / I Love a Polish Girl (I'm from India) [28]

you don't need to be! i have been with my first polish gf like this- i mean via web and same stuff are you are going through.. but it has been a good one. language is not really a problem as long as you can even learn a fair minimum of polish as well.

Real Estate / Buying a flat in Krakow; prices are still falling? [200]

thanks for your reply. i do have all the these.

If you are not EU citizen you might have to get a permission for buying a property. The transaction will be handled by agent and notaries. With the credit they will want you full time working contract.

but I am not earning like the first commentor- earning 10k in Euros..

I was thinking that a flat might be available around 120-135k PLN.. but tough in Krakow.

Merged: Details about buying a flat in Krakow

Hi all,

I am really interested in buying a flat in Krakow. However, I don't have that amount of money. But I believe your replies with guide me to prepare myself.

I am not a non EU citizen but I am working and earning a decent living here in Krakow.

As my girlfriend and me, we want to move in together I was thinking more about buying a flat than renting one.

I would like to know:

1) the minimum amount of deposit of the value of the property- the banks would ask for the mortgage.
2) agent fee
3) legal fees & paper works
4) any other cost I might incur during the purchase of the property.

Thanks

Work / Salary and cost of living information - Krakow [257]

You'll need about 2k to rent a small flat, 300-400 bills, at least 1k for food, so nothing will left.

Are you kidding me mate??

Rent is cheaper than that! further from the Center you can easily get a one bedded flat for 1200zl or lesser.

1K for food?? are you a hippo? O_o.. stop misleading this guy!

Back to the topic.. I am a foreigner, earning nearly the same amount of money like you (5000zl gross) which is good money here.
In my case it is as same as my other foreign colleagues. I drink and smoke a lot... Despite that you can still save something if you aint like me!

Rent (one double sized bedroom)- 1000zl max- mostly it comes all inclusive
Travel(within Krakow)- 100zl (All lines of trams and buses)
Food- 600zl minimum
Phone- 50zl

So, out of your 3000zl net, these I would consider as 'fixed' expense.. The rest is up to you! Drinking, calling an Escort, smoking or saving..

Thats the real figure mate! you are alright with what you gonna earn!

Love / My Polish wife's family hate me. Maybe it is because I'm black. Advice needed. [87]

My experience:- I am from Mauritius, to be honest, i never had this issue at all! infact my in-laws have loved me so so much. specially my mother-in law. she took care of my like her own son, despite the fact that she doesnt speak a single word of polish and me no polish, she has been someone very close to me. I am seperated with my ex, but one person who i will never forget is her mother.

i will even tell you that they are from a little village, where you expect people not to be friendly with foreigners and worse with coloured people. but luckily I wasn't! However, Since then I have been out with some girls here and they have strictly told me that their parents does not like foreigners. lets say around 40% of them said that... But after my recent visit to Warsaw, i think there are still some improvement and people in Poland are actually getting 'westernised'. so there would be some family who would actually accept foreigners (coloured skin).

Your answer: you are here on vacation! you know now how its going to be! so next time better dont come, or come for a night then take your wife go to another city for a holiday in a hotel or something! she will be pleased that you kept her heartt and spent one night with her parents and things will look good. and in the long run... make sure that your in-laws dont make your kid like them! because I know these kind of people well! that they dont like the husband or the wife, but they love the kid and grow hate in the kids heart!

Spring coming soon! ;)

Life / Don't Forget: Tomorrow, March 8 is Women's Day in Poland! [115]

It's a great concept, it's an incentive for those hopeless husbands and boyfriends who don't normally do anything for their women to finally do something, at least once a year.

lol...nevermind lad!

i think it should be called 'florist' day... same as valentine's day!

Love / Are Polish girls open to foreigners? [78]

Dreadnought : you seem a to be a sad man. really! Is your wife so ugly or is it you? beause you seem to be jealous that chicks are hanging out with non-eu citizen- Asian and black (as you said)! I wonder why you didnt even refer to South american or even US citizen? do you think they don't do it? get your information right mate! you seem to be bored mate! time for you to join a carehome, they organise a lot of activities for people who have learning difficulties!

or is it because you are wondering how come your grandson/daughter is not white? or were you dumped by an Asian/black guy, you puff? you seem to be living in your own world mate!

and by the way, you said that Doctor is OK to come to Europe? why? You would welcome Luxmi Mittal happily, wouldn't you? As you are seeking your own benefit they are seeking their own benefit. too.

Sorry, i forgot to mention that you are directly, implying that European birds are dumb!!!!! you make a good pair with your wife, i bet!

Work / 4,000 zl in Piła as a teacher - enough to live? [14]

4,000 zl gross a month and I was wondering if it is enough to live decently here

yes! it will be enough to live a normal life and save some too. my ex gf was earning around 4100zl and after tax she was coming out with a net of around 2800zl-2900zl as of last year. So with 4000zl, you should be taking home app. 2700zl.

Currently, living in Krakow I personally spend like around 2500zl- rent, food, travelling, daily shopping, tobacco, other things and including every weekend out. I bet that in Pila, it will be way cheaper.

Work / Average monthly salaries in Poland's voivodships [12]

A few people in Poland make tons of money

agreed mate! actually these areas (Katowice & Warsaw) could be areas where there are top CEO, directors and other big 'fish', the salary is being divided among the inhabitants around there.

what i mean here is that there are many people earning a lot and the distribution, when it comes to the workforce still stays strong. Just need to do some Maths and you will get the reality.

for example, in London, there are many big 'fishes' so when the mean income is calculated, they still come out on top. because of the gap compared to other counties.

Well, some people might change their mind and move to these places, however, be careful as you are not aware of the cost of living yet. I bet any Polish person can say that in these places, the cost of living would be signinficantly higher.
