Work / Is it possible to live on 2200zł a month in Poland (teaching position) [13]

I budget about 50zl a day for expenses-food, smokes, beer etc, but obviously some days I pay more, especially when I go to restaaurants.

I'd say the same as Scottie.
50ZL per day is a good budget.

And then on the weekend's maybe 100 per day.

That'll still give you around 4-500 ZL for unexpected expenses.
I am assuming since you do not have to pay rent, that you also do not have to pay bills?

Work / Job Conditions and Monthly Expenses for students in Poland [16]

what is the job condition for the students and plz also tell me the monthly expenses.

It will be equal to impossible to find a student job, and that's simply reality.
Monthly expenses would be considering your a student who doesn't spend a lot, you can live on 2300ZL per month if you live in a shared room for example.

BenefitSystem Card - it's the card of the company you're applying for a job, so read their website or ask

Probably this is a multisport cards which offers you free activities such as gym's, swimming pools etc. Quiet use full in my opnion and has a value of around 150ZL pr. month.

No no no, try first of all Gumtree.pl open it with google chrome and use the automatic translater at the top of the page.

Secondly look up Hamilton May and Leach and lang, these 2 I can recommend.

See few examples here:

Extremely good location and offer:

Also good and cheaper than the other, also amazing location:

I have several others open, its easy to find good apartments on there.

Remember you can always negotiate the price for both the rent and also for the commission to the real estate agency.

Life / 2300 PLN is enough for living in Krakow, Poland? [12]

Yes I understand, but I had a very nice apartment in the city center 55sqm high standard furnished etc. it cost me 1900ZL per month all inclusiv, so I'm just trying to help you with not getting ripped off ;-)

Regarding cost of living I am the wrong person to ask as I never cook etc.
But I live very comfortable for 3000ZL per month, so I am sure you can live rather well on 2300.

Internet is around 80ZL per month, and mobile subscription is the same. You will have to sign a 24 month contract though.
Alternatively you can use prepaid both internet and cell phone, price depends on your usage.

Just want to know, how much is the net salary i will get in hand after tax deduction.

Its will come out to be 5700-5750 PLN net per month, wish is not bad if you do not have to provide for a family.

Medical insurance/life insurance + benefit card is nice to have, maybe ask for a parking spot in case you are planning to have a car here.

Life / 2300 PLN is enough for living in Krakow, Poland? [12]

Well, I have my reasons to rent that apartment for that price, but thanks for the suggestion.

Absolutely no problem, off course you should have it the way you like this was just from own experience :-)

Life / 2300 PLN is enough for living in Krakow, Poland? [12]

I assume 4700PLN is net after taxes?
Either way, 2400PLN is waaay to much to spend on an apartment with that salary!

I suggest you take and apartment for nothing more than 1500PLN all included. Then you will have 3200 to live/save for.

With 2300PLN per month you will live quiet comfortable considering you cook at home most of the time, and don't party too hard.

But my experience is better to spend less on your apartment. Summer is also coming up, so you'll be outside/at work most of the time.

Also the apartment must be quiet (very nice) for the price of 2400PLN.

Law / Tax papers, declaration in Poland (how to proceed?) [5]

If you are working on umowa o prace (standard contract) haven't change the employer in 2012, don't have any additional incomes, don't run a company etc. It's a piece of cake..

That is exactly my case.
I'll just try to ask someone around me then for a hand.

Thanks a lot for both of your reply's!

Law / Tax papers, declaration in Poland (how to proceed?) [5]

Hi Guy's,

As most of you probably know the deadline is coming up for doing your taxes here in Poland.
Literally I have no idea how to proceed with this, so I want to go for and accounting office in Krakow to get it done.

Can anyone recommend me one, or inform about a location for a place?
I off course tried to google it, unfortunately without any useful outcome.

Thanks a mill!

Law / Need Help.... Italian moving to Poland - registration of residence [5]

What are the conditions for registration ?

Are you moving her for work or no?
I've been living as a foreigner in Krakow for almost 2 year's.
You should register your stay more than 3 month's, but me for example I didn't get the necessary document's declared until after 1 year and 4 month's, and nobody noticed or contacted me regarding this.

So just move to Poland and take it as it come's.
If you move here for work, your employee will be able to help you with this.

Study / Medicine school Fees in Poland [8]

Also I think that you're mistaken that English courses in Polish Public universities are free of charge for EU nationals.

There is a fee for English courses.
Those are not for free.

Travel / New to Krakow (barbershop, bikeshop and places to visit) [11]

I'm living on Jozefa Chelmonskiego, I have no idea if that is in Azory to be honest hehe.

Yea that's Azory buddy.
Can I ask why you decided to live there?

Just an FYI, this is in general not a very good/save area. Not that there is anything to worry about, but it is notoriously know for an area of some serious Hooligans.

I live near the Ikea and was trying to look for a good gym around that area

I don't know any gym in that area, but if I did I wouldn't go there.
I assume your basically living in Azory?

You can travel down to Lublanska, get of the bus and walk to Park Wodny they have a nice gym.

USA, Canada / Getting job in U.S. with Polish degree [14]

will look like for me with a Polish degree and how potential employers might view it.

In my opinion this is a huge strength.
The school might not have been close to as good as many American business schools, but going abroad taking your MBA shows that your a go getta who can get sh*it done on his own.

Huge American corporation off course will not take this into consideration, but who want's to work for them anyways?
Start out with some smaller business to gain some experience.

There are also small buses running to Zakopane from Krakow for as low as 10ZL.

Travel / Krakow to Zakopane - public transport [12]

The bus runs like every half and our to the main bus station in Krakow, from there you can take a train directly to the airport, runs also every half an hour or more.

The cost is like 19ZL for bus from ZAK to KRK, and like 6 ZL for train ticket to the airport.

Real Estate / Best area in Krakow to live? [43]

Why Krowodrza? Seems pretty far away from city center and the action. What's up there?

It is, I have no idea why ppl say Krowodrza.
Kazimierz though is the place to live, assuming you can find a decent apartment as many of the buildings are quiet old.

Anyways, I'm early 20's single etc. been living in Kaz for 1,5 years I'd never move to any other part of Krakow!
