News / British man prosecuted for raping teenage girls in Kraków [47]

The Church.....

Typical response from a brit, just attack the RMC in Poland. Meanwhile in britain Muslims are multiplying like rabbits, along with their religion which was created by a pedophile.

pregnancy is an illness

USA, Canada / Where do most Polish-Americans identify on the political spectrum? [142]

Such is their national pride.

I expect they still wave Polish flags and talk about how POLISH they are.

Few PolAms go around waving Polish flags. The ones that do are usually fresh off the boat Poles who miss Poland and are having a hard time adjusting to life in the US. Generally Americans of eastern European descent rarely show any European pride openly like that.

Now, those Scottish-Americans who wear their kilts to the mall and talk about how Scottish they are (even though their ancestors came to the new world hundreds of years ago) are the ones you should be critiquing more. Same with Italian-Americans (most are mutts) who try to mimic real Italians and have Italian tattoos, bumper stickers, window flags etc.

Delph, have you considered seeking psychiatric help to treat your obsession? Or maybe you are just totally ignorant about US culture?

Life / Are Polish people so chaotic and disorganized like Germans say? [89]

Many Poles are quick to point out German efficiency and organzation. I remember last year there was a deadly Polish bus accident in Germany (near Berlin I think) and I was surprised to hear many Poles say that they were thankful that such a serious accident took place in Germany. Thy had no faith in the polish first responders to adequately help the victims.

Generally from my exerience livining in Poland, I would have to agree with the stereotype. Two areas that stick out the most are bureaucracy and infrastructure.

USA, Canada / Polish man's visit a nightmare - Welcome To Canada [65]

racial profiling

Blacks and hispanics cause the majority of crime the US which is the only reason they make up the majority of the prison population. Plain and simple. Racial profiling LOL!

And you, don't forget.

ohh, did I hurt your feelings?

The fact is that even today many "Canadians" look down on many Slavic people. They will make fun of your lastname, they will say you are a commie, you are behind times, blah blah blah. The Cold War didnt help either.

This was true 100 years ago, not today.

Love / Foreigners: would you have moved to Poland if it was full of fat/ugly women? [42]

No, i think most people go where the jobs/money are.

Personally, the only Polish women I had ever met before I moved here (the cook of a good friend's family, one of the matrons at school and my cleaner at university) were all fat and ugly (and fairly old) but were also very pleasant ladies.

Well generally speaking Polish women lose their good looks rather quickly. This observation has been raised on this forum in the past. Just think, how many MILFs and cougars do you see in Poland? Very, very, very few.

UK, Ireland / Grateful Polish photographer stitches up his Welsh hosts [96]

Well usually the media/people make fun of Poland so i guess it's nice to see this attention get shifted to brits.

I'm sure you could find such scenes in any city in the world. The one thing that those pictures do accurately portray is british women - they are arguably the ugliest and filthiest in all of europe - and i've been all over the continent.

Genealogy / Born in Poland, moved to US as a baby - What do i need to get a PL passport? [19]

I'm surprised you managed to get such - it is against the law act concerning Polish IDs and Population Register Act. And this ID without address would not be fully functional.

It is not illegal to not have an address on a dowod osobisty! The only problem it could cause is finding a job. I didn't have an address on my DO during my last several months in Poland.

Love / Why Poland and Indian Sub-Continent? [30]

I find this pattern strange. Polish girl and Indian guy or vice versa, you know. I mean it's never Czech and Indian or French and Indian.. It's always Polish and Indian. Is it just me?Or is it a fact?

It's the same all over eastern europe, not just poland. Western european women don't want brown men and the eastern ladies just want a guy with money. This happened during the commie era as well. Unfortunately this ended tragically for most women. You indians will take anyone that will get you out of india and into europe.

Genealogy / Born in Poland, moved to US as a baby - What do i need to get a PL passport? [19]

I did it in person (in Canada) - i would suggest you take care of this in the US. Polish bureaucracy is a tough cookie to crack, so i went to the Polish consulate in person. They will need to see a lot of documents, not only yours but your parents' too. Basically take every piece of ID you have.

Life / Poland: worst teeth in the world? [98]

Can anyone explain this disturbing chart?

Well if people in Poland would go to a dentist regularly for a check up/cleaning then their teeth would look better. Buuut, no one wants to spend money on that, they'd rather spend it on useless stuff.

I get my teeth checked every 6 months and i must say they're almost perfect in every way.

One thing i don't like about the chart is that is focuses on 12 year olds - what the hell??

Language / Indian-Polish Accent. :P [26]

Sounds good OP!

I was expecting your accent to be funny, like an English (US/Canada) - Indian accent.

Life / 'Turkish' Conmen on the A4/E40 Krakow-Wrocław stretch.... [25]

You should have called the police and told them that they tried robbing you (over exaggerate).

If I saw a turk on the side of the road, I would have never stopped. But that's me, I like to play it safe.

Law / Difference between an expat and a immigrant (or permanet resident) in Poland [41]

IMO, expats/permanent residents are people who move from a wealth country to a not so wealthy country.

Immigrants move from poor to wealthy countries.

The former prefer to be called expats/permanent residents because it sounds like they are people of a higher class, more sophisticated, wealthy, not moving to seek a better life instead moving because they can or want to.

The word immigrant often has a negative connotation (poor, dirty, desperate, refugee, etc).

Law / The famous Polish brands for 'Lingeries' and 'Bags'? [11]

Here's something i found on google:

Several Polish clothing companies try to build strong and appealing brands that could compete also outside Poland with the international giants like H&M or Zara. One of such companies is LPP SA based in Gdansk, an incorporated company noted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2001 which owns and distributes the following brands: Reserved (flagship mainstream brand), Cropp (urban & streetwear style fashion), House (youth fashion), Mohito (active women’s fashion), Esotiq (women’s underwear), Rene Vilard (exclusive women’s underwear), Henderson (basic men’s underwear) and Promo Stars (advertising clothing).

I've always thought of this building as an eye sore.
