Why Poland and Indian Sub-Continent?

Of late, I have come across lots of relationships involving Poles and people from the Indian-Subcontinent. And I actually have one such marriage in my own family. And another married couple that I know of in my hometown.

I find this pattern strange. Polish girl and Indian guy or vice versa, you know. I mean it's never Czech and Indian or French and Indian.. It's always Polish and Indian. Is it just me?Or is it a fact?

And btw, in my opinion, I think such relationships are difficult.(Although, I know of an Indian-Russian couple in my hometown and they actually grew old together. I see them holding hands and going on walks together in the evening.)

So what do you think? My observation about this trend is correct? And do you think such relationships work?

And do you think such relationships work?

I think such relationships are almost always about the EU passport and possible residence rights for family members and nothing to do with love.

Or at least, not on the Indian point of view.

Something tells me that this thread will unfortunately bring here nasty people who will put down Polish women or Indian men...

1) Indian guys looking for EU passports.

2) Indian guys looking for white girls --> English/Scottish/Irish/Welsh women will often reject them on principle ( don't blame me, that's a complaint I heard from a number of Indian males ), Polish women actually consider an indian guy a "better catch" than a Polish guy.

3) I haven't seen many Polish male / Indian female couples in the UK. Have you?

Many Poles and Indians (especially the upper caste ones) have a common male ancestor as the wide distribution of the Ra1 genetic haplogroup in both populations evinces.

Funny.

Maybe I shouldn't have posted this... Hmmm...

sham marriages

No. Not in the cases that I have seen.

Indian guys looking for EU passports.

Stereotype. I don't believe in them.

Stereotype. I don't believe in them.

You think Indians come here because it's worth coming here?

Come on, the only reason they come here is because it offers an cheap, easy way into the EU.

Ha ha get a load of yourself Dopeyandomine claiming you know "the only reason" Indians come to Poland. Your stereotyping of Indians is shameful. You should be ashamed of yourself. The OP actually knows Polish/Indian couples. You are just always ready to believe the worst about people and I suspect it is because you project our own perverted motives onto others. Fullyalive, never mind him and his xenophobic cohorts. They are just haters and hating is what they do.

It is due to inferiority complex of polish women and a lot of idiocy. They go for Arabs,Kurds and other third worldlers. It is the impression that Westerners will look down on them and desire for quick money. Also the general modesty displayed by muslims and some other things we have explained in the past.

The Indian people that I know of, were already living abroad for years and didn't need to marry a EU citizen for that.

I don't deny the sham marriages... but I believe that most human beings aren't so twisted. It's just stereotyping that ruins it all. Or maybe I am naive and haven't seen enough of life at 22 in my part of the world(India).

Truly, this forum has never encountered people from 3rd world countries who are just soooo desperate to get into Poland of all places:

How To Study In Poland and stay with my GF? Inability to move to Poland looks stupid.

( only two of the most recent examples, btw. )

In case you haven't noticed, des essientes ( and why should you ) after years and years of leniency UK is cracking down on non-EU immigration. I guess the cheeky ones amongst us will say that nowadays we got the Polish doing their work, but the bottom line is this:

UK is looking into limiting non-eu immigration and is actively plugging all the holes in our immigration law, so to speak.

Now, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, etc. - often they don't even know such holes exist, so a trick that worked 30 years ago in the UK works just fine over in Eastern Europe.

And since obtaining residency in Eastern Europe equals obtaining EU residency nowadays, small wonder people from 3rd world countries are trying.

Polish women do not like macho men displaying their testes as we do in Balkan. They go for weak, shy, feminine individuals and Indians fit this stereotype. The reason is control.I have analyzed this ridiculous attitude.Anyway they do not disprove Indians from first sight as ugly, stinky, dumb or feminine as western women do.And third worldlers tend to hit constantly on white women because the latter are way more attractive than their local women. They are also more liberated.

So they try their luck constantly for new victims.Add to this financial arrangements. Also polish women do not have the suspicion in this conservative environment eg why should he prefer me over a greek woman since she is equally more attractive and available so I am not important for him he has me just for fun a skrewed state of mind but it works like this. With sex deprived pakis,Indians and Arabs there is no such danger. But it is a shame for Poland that women behave this way.I am ready to bring them to the right path.

off the top of my head I can think of at least 5 anglo - indian couples known to me. man/woman and woman/man. and I really

don't think those Indians needed passports.
Threads like this just invite ignorance and hateful stereotyping from the usual suspects.

and I really don't think those Indians needed passports.

If they were already in the UK legally, of course not.

But the ones who move here to study some useless crap courses at dodgy "universities" who will pass a soggy biscuit - come on, are they in Poland for any other reason than to find a way to stay in the EU? The fact that many of them come on here looking for jobs should tell you all...

English women go more for flashy guys. For example they would always choose the tall tanned muscular Mediteranean the guy from the village or a flashy Black.Polish women do not go for this type of guys.I was in a resort full of muscular athletic Serbs and Greeks and Polki did not fall for them.It is the question of primitiveness.

Polish girls are colour blind, to nick the phrase ITU2 once used.

Come on, the only reason they come here is because it offers an cheap, easy way into the EU.

I'm not sure if you are implying the Polish are cheap and easy.
Indians can quite easily get into the EU/UK through marrying 2nd 3rd generation Indians in the UK. I've always thought of Indians having arranged marriages, possibly they are ducking their parents choices for them.

In case you haven't noticed, des essientes ( and why should you ) after years and years of leniency UK is cracking down on non-EU immigration.

Your wishful thinking. Cameron was over in India last year regarding opening India up for UK company investment. India complained UK weren't taking on enough of their excess graduates...

There's a billion of them there Indians. I doubt the oddities that post here are indicative of a new craze sweeping India for slavic merges. One of your examples is Turkish. The other one sounds more unstable than looking for a foot-in.

Polish women have very strange ideas about Indians,Blacks and Arabs.I cannot help but noticing that they fail to see the obvious.Western women are much smarter in this regard although true egoists let's say they want the roses without the thorns.Polish get the sh1t in whole.

Poland is, not the people. It's a piece of cake to get into Poland as a non-EU national.

Indians can quite easily get into the EU/UK through marrying 2nd 3rd generation Indians in the UK. I've always thought of Indians having arranged marriages, possibly they are ducking their parents choices for them.

The ones with cash, yes. The ones who need to work part time jobs in Poland to even put food in their mouths? naw...

they are ducking their parents choices for them.

The guys that I mentioned were literally cut off from family for a short period. It was very difficult for them. And family ties are very important. But the parents understood in the end...

And about, me not having experienced enough of life, here's another thing I believe - I can't label a person good or bad just because of something they did... People are more complex than their actions. There is almost always a reason why they do the things they do... I don't say that I approve of the bad things, but I can't call them bad for doing something bad...

Interesting topic. I have a Polish friend who is currently engaged to an Indian woman. He comes from moderate catholic family, not rich but not poor either. She comes from a Sikh family. They gave her a hard time about her relationship with him at first, but loosened up later. Also, some people from his town made bad comments in his face and behind his back.

Regardless, they have been together for more than 3 years and they seem to be happy.

I don't think it is specific to people from Indian sub-continent. I was once at a Christmas dinner, and there was 5 Polish people with spouces from 5 different countries (Australia, Syria, Mexico, Germany and India).

I believe many Polish people have spouces from different countries due to the unusually high net migration out of Poland. When people travel they meet and get to know new people and the rest is obvious.

Yes exactly. I have never met yet a Polish person from Indian descent in Poland but it will take at least 1 generation to meet kids from inter marriages(not only Indian-Polish but Chinese-Polish, Iraki-Polish,jamaican-Polish ) in general in Poland, but elsewhere it is pretty common.

I mean a couple of first hand experiences hardly constitute an interesting trend.

It's the same all over eastern europe, not just poland. Western european women don't want brown men and the eastern ladies just want a guy with money. This happened during the commie era as well. Unfortunately this ended tragically for most women. You indians will take anyone that will get you out of india and into europe.
