Tusk is a Kashubian name. Kashubia (or Kaszuby as it's known in Polish) is a region that lies in Northern Poland. It stretches from the region west of Gdansk (or the city of Gdynia to be more exact) to the Hel Peninsula and inland Pomerania.

On the other hand....Google honores today some polish scientist Casimir Funk with a doodle....now that name sounds german!

I love it!

....so true....sadly!

Our chancellor only a year back, or so, gave someone totally unsuited and inept, totally without any experience in this field, the highly important post of Minister of Defense....and that ONLY because she had the right gender (woman) and he needed to fulfill the equality quota he promised during the election...it was a catastrophe and a total fiasco!

In a time of crisis you need the best and the most experienced in a gov not the ones whose main qualification is to have the right gender and/or the right skin pigmentation or some fitting handicap.

I so hope that whole diversity/equality madness is over soon, at least in governments and other important places!

PS: The Lambrecht-Fiasko ended with her sacking and the calling of Boris Pistorius, an "old white male" but a much better fit.

In Berlin you can see them sometimes now too....but it never took hold! Foreign, strange clad kids and adults ring an unknown door and cry for sweets. Not to mention that most buildings here are blocks of flats where the visitor has to ring the main street door to get into the building in the first place, which in most cases stays shut since they don't belong to anyone of the folks in this house....after all this years of advertising it's still just strange and abit embarrassing for all....and of course sad for the little ones!

I'm all for recognizing and acknowledging pagan holy days, it's the tradition of sending your kids out to ring on unknown doors which is just strange!

I don't hate them, I don't believe them everything either....

Most are just not uptodate with the newest scientific developments since they left med school!

For example nutrition....most still kept to their learned advice as western societies got more fat and diabetic all the time, not at least because of this advice aka eat lotsa carbs and at least five little meals a day (to keep the blood surgar continously high)..."eat more fruit" (as fruit sugar is a healthy sugar)..."fat makes fat" and such crap!

It's my interpretation.....since 1989, the usual western leftist had been left floundering....the old cause, even the word "socialism", having become a dirty word, a dead idea....who could forget the masses of people taking to the streets to be free of them, democracy and capitalism having won so thoroughly!

But a really reprocessing of these time-changing events didn't really happen, didn't it? The former Eastern-Bloc and leftist world revolution supporter in the West did not really change, never accepting that their ideology being a huge failure, no they now just reframed everything, cut out the old words and used new ones, hid the old Mao and Che posters...did go green and all identity politics....but when you scratch under that thin mask there is still the same old deep red, and it stinks like from a decomposing corpse!

I've heard the situation for minorities for example in Berlin had been already alot better in the 80's than it is now (Kerkeling left Berlin, he couldn't live here no longer with his husband....hint: it isn't because of the marching AfD masses)....to blame is the woke identity politics and the growing muslim sectors (like Sonnenallee) where no gay or trans or Jew dares to walk openly anymore...

Means, it gets worse....not better! Congrats! Time to change course! (And the gov)
