ALL deposits up to equivalent of euro 50k in banks in PL are safe under BFG insurance scheme.

Are you aware of what is happening in Ireland regarding banks?

If I were in Ireland I would also wonder if my money was really that safe.

Why do people (not only Irish but also Americans) ***** so much about banks?They didn't do it when taking subprime mortgages, so why now?I can only understand those who did not enjoy ride on property market and now have to bail the banks out with their tax money.(which in my opinion should be allowed to fail).But the rest got what they deserve.

Buy property there now.

There is a bubble on Polish property market and I would wait till prices retreat about 30%.

Most of this is true but no Americans are to blame but only the Poles since they let the CIA agents to run Poland.Poland doesn't need Americans for anything yet the treasonious "polish politicians" allow America to exploit Poland.Poland has never benefited from relations with the US and probably never will.

Hopefully they'll have the common decency to put some obstruction lighting on it for when the spot lights are turned off..

That's not true.Poland was widely reported in the press as the only country to avoid economic slowdown.I read about it on Yahoo,Market Watch and Bloomberg to name just a few.

So basically Poland is Jesus in the form of a country plunged between two super-powers.

That's because Poland isn't a major power in Europe, unlike the above four. It has potential to be a regional power, but Poland's diplomacy is rather...poor. In the case of Argentina, Saudi Arabia et al - they are regional powers.

What is so unusuall about $1500 washing machine?My mother in Poland 4 years ago spent almost $2000 on Bosch IQ series washing machine.I think it was way too much but she says she likes nice things.On the other hand her Italian made Candy bought in late 70s lasted 23 years (with 2 repairs during that time) believe it or not.

No.It somehow escaped my attention.And as far as I know they don't have a stock exchange in Belarus.Maybe that's why I missed it.

Economically and militarily it holds way more sway than Poland, just a fact.

Fair enough, but the step from 1-2 is as big as the step from 2-3.

I dare to disagree.The gap between Brazil and Argentina is way bigger than between Argentina and Venezuela,Columbia or even Peru.

It's definately a power. Fourth largest economy in the world as well as being comfortably in the top 10 militaries of the world...

I am not trying to argue that Germany is not an economic power but overall it is still world's second league.You can't compare Germany to US,Russia,China and India which belong to world's heavy weight division.Can you?

I'd put Germany right there with India. If Germany had the bomb, they'd be equal with those nations (not taking into account that they have access to the bomb...). Not having a seat on the Security Council is the only international forum in which they don't hold as much influence as Russia and China.

I wouldn't.Not even with Pakistan.I am sure you know that just having a bomb doesn't mean much.you also need capability to deliver it wherever you need or want to.
