Some of us would like to keep it that way,

You are not Polish so you should refrain from speaking in the name of Poles.Now, I am Polish and I think we the Poles will be much better off not dealing with Jews at all as we don't need them for anything.

If you are concerned with a good name of Poland and Polish nation please don't do any business with the following companies ING Bank and PROGRESSIVE Insurance as these companies are sponsors of the web site of well know hater of Poland and Polish people. I already emailed both mentioned companies about my concerns and even cancelled my car insurance policy with PROGRESSIVE.

Hmm..she is over 18-why hasn't she tried to change her citizenship if her parents love Lithuania so much

Why?Many people have dual or even multiple citizenships.

I would feel like I was blasted back to stone age. I would have a lot of adjustment to live in EU. It is why the thought I MIGHT move there in 5-6 years has me prepping my psyche now.

You can ship your fridge and freezer from the US. Plenty of Americans do that when they moving to Eastern Europe.

Well, just read "How to tell if somebody is Polish".

If you value your time DON'T read it. I did and it was waste of my time.

He didn't seem to be mocking Poles imo.

That's not the point here.There is no value in this "article" and the author is wrong on few accounts,starting with his/her assumption that "kurwa" or "kurva" is used only in Polish.This word with same meaning is used in quite few other Slavic languages and even in Hungarian.Also,super silly sentence "Good people don't use word "kurwa".Well,it's like saying that good people never say "F u c k". I really don't know what the author is trying to say.Am I a "bad" person because I happen to say "Kurwa" occasionally when I am upset?Well,I don't aspire to be a "good" person (whatever it means!) but I am most certainly not a "bad" one either.Is the author 6 years old?That would explain his nomenclature because last time I heard someone talking this way it was my ex wife lecturing her 6 y/o son that only BAD boys use profanities but GOOD boys don't.(On a side note when she was ******* f u c k s" were flying in every direction).

I think that's a bit dramatic

Not only that but also untrue.It,s not like you address Pan/Pani everybody every time.

In fact, the majority of people, when stopping me on the street, address me as 'ty' and they are not necessarily older (though I've been called Pan by many old folks, which sounds odd)

You must be a young person.It may sound odd for someone not familiar with customs (I am saying customs because there is not any written rule regarding Pan/Pani,though as a rule you can't go wrong with pan/i).To give you an example lets say I am 23 years old,talking to another 23 y/o in some formal situation (like office,store, etc)I would address him per Pan.But talking to the same man in some informal situation I would address him per ty.Now lets say I am 40.I would address another 40 y/o (as well as 23 y/o) per Pan in both formal and informal situations.Women, I always address per Pani regardless their (and my) age.

Few days ago in Chicago I was approached by a Polish middle age women per ty and to me it sounded awkward (crude?).I immidiatelly thought she had bad manners.With that being said, as a foreigner you will be given some slack and nobody will assault you just for addressing him per ty.Though, it is possible that he may not like it. I don't feel like writing a lot,basically you would have spend some time among Poles to get a grasp on customs.

I have noticed something different "I can't be/do wrong I am BRITISH".You people suffer from superiority complex.

Yes, it is definitely all the British fault.

Yes.The British equivalent of it.

Anyway, Grubas, I seem to remember you praising that turd Rutkowski for abducting a child who was in the care of social services due to abusive parents.

You cannot compare both cases as in case of Daniel P. signs of abuse/mistreatment were (should be) obvious.In the other case not so much.

After reading more about the case in today's Mail Online it is clear to me that nothing was done because Daniel P. was,well,just a little Polack.

It also seems that Poland's and UK's agencies have much in common as nobody is being held responsible.Pretty shocking if you consider UK a "civilized" country.

Because in very large part they've got hardly any money, not enough staff and surprisingly few legal powers.

Excuses,excuses.Mail Online says this boy was scavenging for food scraps in trash bins!FFS,even I,not being trained or anything would show some interest.Ok,his mother lied about his eating disorder but I don't believe that CPS couldn't request his medical history or even order medical examination .Nobody cared because he was Polish.

I guess it's changed a lot since I lived there, then :) Although, I lived in Arizona - two worlds from Chicago.

I don't think so.It's commonly used on the East Coast, where I lived for longer than I live in Chi, too.

In the UK, it's quite uncommon to hear on the streets. In fact, I'd go a step further and say it's often used in an unpleasant manner.

Strange.I better take some English classes before I go to UK (if I ever go, that is) because it seems I may be up to some culture shock.So what do you say in the UK when you see that a guy just dropped his wallet and is walking away?In the US you say "Sir..." and when he turns around "...you dropped your wallet.".Or a guy held door for you?"Thank you Sir".In most bussineses you are automatically "Sir".Do you have light bulbs?","Yes sir,we do.".Most kids and college students will address you "Sir".Soldiers and Police too.

I agree he was mean and this can break your day or at least part of it.It's hard for me to say that but people and services in Poland are in general pretty rude.I don't see what's the problem with being nice.Just nice,you don't have be exceptional like a dude from some store in ME who was yelling to me "How you doing today,man?!" with a big, friendly smile on his face, across a fairly large store.I still remember him after 10 years.It doesn't cost a penny to be nice and people like nice guys.

Back to the topic,in his defence I can say that he was a lowly paid employee,possibly having bad day.

2. Do you remember what it was like before the E.U.? The unemployment rate and most importantly for me, there was no real freedom of movement.
The next generation are going to grow up and take the Schengen area for granted, as if it has always been there and personally I think that is brilliant.

I think it was a mistake on the side of Eastern European countries to join EU.We should have kept RWPG even at the cost of some political concessions towards Russia.Fueled by cheap Russian oil and natural resources from Syberia Eastern economies would be booming.It would be interesting to see competition of two economic blocks.
