Mind you the UK does not have such a good record on letting go of people who go on to kill again..

Same thing in the U.S. They get out of prison and kill again and then everyone complains that they never should have been let out. The weird thing about this guy is that he didn't care that the neighbor was watching and it wasn't the usual murder. It was overkill.

and think I have traced my great-grandfather back in the 1900 Texas census. Only thing is, he'd already changed his surname to Wilson.

Coshomre, Texas had a major wave of immigrations from Poland through one of the ports. I think it was Galveston. And the people created Polish towns and churches there (Texas). Have you investigated that? There are ship records online. You should check for names that are similar to Wilson. You might also be able to find a Polish geneology center somewhere.

It's always hard to tell the tone of someone's "voice" in an email. It sounds like a polite email with a simple request. He's in a relationship and doesn't want to receive emails from you anymore.

The word molesting simply means "bothering" in other countries. It's not the same thing as child molestation in the U.S.

My advice is to look at his email again and see that it's not hostile. It's polite.

He's not going to change and neither will his mother. He proved it when you gave him a second chance and things didn't change. The only thing you're going to accomplish by staying with him is to have an even bigger broken heart than if you would have left sooner.

But some of them really are Irish on their father's side. Maybe they're just celebrating their heritage.

I found it when I was doing research on my Polish ancestry because I'm from the U.S.
Back then there were a lot of people on the forum who were actually from Poland but I think most of them have left.

Has anyone mentioned Detective Jaruszalski on Law and Order Los Angeles? There have been many characters on television through the years that have had Polish last names and that were portrayed as well as anyone else but they don't really get recognition.

How about Vince Vaughn and Vincent D'Onofrio as Polish American brothers in The Break-Up, which also starred Jennifer Aniston?

The Chicago Code with Jennifer Beals also has some Polish American characters, including the lead character, but I've never watched the show.

There was also a Polish character in Last Chance Harvey with Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson, but he was only known as the Polish neighbor.

The Unpronounceables is hilarious. I had never seen that before.

Paul Wesley (Paul Thomas Wasilewski)

Do they actually play Polish American characters? I thought Paul Wesley plays a hispanic character. It's always like that. The Polish characters are portrayed by non-Polish actors, like probably Wysocki in The Chicago Code.

I heard some story about some Chinese guy.

I've seen stories like that, too. They literally can't get jobs if they're too short. They get their legs lengthened in order to work and make a living.

I mean, just like Grzegorz already pointed out, you don't abuse a systrem if you are entitled for the benefits.

But they do abuse the system in the U.S. when they are entitled to benefits, believe me. California had to create a law so that people who collect welfare to buy food and clothes can no longer use their free money on things like psychics, massages, cruise ships, casinos, etc. because that's what they were doing. Meanwhile, people who work hard all day can't afford to go on cruises and have massages or gamble their money away.

Women can tell when a man has a lower libido. They can feel a man's sexual energy or the lack of it. That's why they choose one man over the other. I mean, I doubt any of those women are at the clubs to find their soul mate or the love of their life so that's what they're focusing on (his libido). Try showing them that you're a hungry animal underneath the exterior.
