Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]
I would say the same if there were not some true gold in Poland.The food is not good,the roads are not good,the communist buildings are ugly but who comes to Poland for the food,the roads and the buildings?
We come to hear the amazing polish language.From native speakers.
Maybe it was discussed before, but I'm wondering what do you non-poles find fascinating in Poland? And how did you find this forum? Do you live in Poland/want to move to Poland, and why?

Genealogy / Are all Poles blue eyed and blonde? [450]
From my observation the ukrainians are blond in greater percentage than the Poles.I think blond is very common colour in slavic people,maybe a little less or more than among germanic I am not sure.The genes for black colour dominate over the ones for blond,so blond genes must be quite widespread among Slavs to create such a common phenotype.

In Ukraine they talk about Poliaci and they pronounce like Paliaci,which seemed to me derrogatory.When they say ukrainki they stop at ai like ukraaiinki,which lasts double than simply paliaci.

Ukrainians claim Kiev Rus,original russians were in fact ukrainians.
And let us not confuse Kiev Rus which was established by the Varangians or Vikings as being Ukrainian because it wasn't.

From my observations polish girls look far more similar to each other than girls from other slavic ethnicities.It is easy to tell them apart.I also believe that mix with other ethnicities in Poland was very restricted(I do not know why) in comparison to what happened in other slavic countries.That is why I am sure gene diversity in polish population is limited and most Poles share the same genes.
Maybe the evolution promoted the survival of the fittest and most beautiful girls who know comprise the bulk of polish girls.

If we consider Russia belonging to Europe,then Poland is central european country.
Most people do not think of Russia as eastern Europe but only as Russia.Eastern Europe is Poland,Slovakia,Hungary,Croatia,Czech Republic more or less.That is what most people mean with eastern Europe.
Russia,Ukraine,Belarus are former Soviet Union countries or CIS countries.
Eastern Europe is a cultural,not a geographical term.

Poles look so much better than other nationalities that they cause a natural sense of inferiority to them,which transforms to hardcore racism against Slavs.In fact it is fear of slavic superiority.
That is why I think westerners tolerate Indians,Pakistanis,Blacks,Asians but they feel a hatred towards Poles,Russians,Serbs etc.Because they make them feel powerless.

In fact, if anything, Poles are the most Anglo-Saxon looking of the eastern Europeans..
Poles look totally slavic with some german mix.They are easy to recognize.You may confuse them sometimes with ukrainians or czechs but not so easily with westerners.
What matters is the fear they cause.There is certain feel of white power in Poland,everybody senses that.They may not move and be aggresive but you are afraid what is going to happen when they actually move.All this quiet,slavic power is frightening.They set them apart from the others,do not integrate so easily.And slavic values are a bit different than western values.

I felt more free in Poland than in any western european country where even the dogs of the natives have more rights than foreigners.In Poland you do not experience fat,old women screaming in train to find their seat,no dog puts his nose on your trousers while you sit in bus,no cyclist passes in high speed 2 cm next to you,coming from behind and blaming,nobody smokes and lets his smoke on your face,nobody pushes you all the time in every place,no amputee will pass over your feet to rush into bus,generally nobody annoys you.
I call this civilization.
