Rather than trying to find a job before you arrive (the first work permit cannot be issued in Poland, a company that wants to hire you applies for you) you might be able to apply for residency on the basis of being Polish (assuming you can back that up) it used to be super easy for those that could prove Polish ancestry.

Milk with that kind of Polish coffee is very weird in Poland (not as weird as tea with milk but still... pretty weird). But many/most added sugar.

Make a decent living! That's only possible with competition which is only possible with freedom....

in the PRL there was one employer (the state) and if you didn't like the wage offered you could try to find another state job that didn't pay any better

in the US, with freedom and competition, if you're competent you can change jobs for more money or negotiate more money because the employer also has discretion in how much to pay

There's also things like freedom to go to whatever church you want to (or to not go to church or to publicly say churches are stupid and backward)

Freedom to criticize the government in public under your own name

Freedom to associate with the people you wish to associate with

Freedom to live where you want

It's very hard to describe freedom to someone who wants to be a slave, so keep asking questions and the free people here will do our best to make you understand.

Soviet era monuments were only erected because the USSR had forced Poland into an unwanted military and economic alliance that stunted growth for decades and had a devastating effect on social relations.

Poland has _NO_ reason to like or respect the USSR or feel any slightest scrap of gratitude toward that accursed country whose demise was a blessing for humanity.

The 'monuments' were maintained after 1989 as a courtesy and there's no reason for that courtesy to be extended one minute longer.

There's a reason no country close to it likes russia.... think about that instead of patting yourselves on the back so much

I have just one word for German Eurovision (in general....): Read the room!

I remember when Greece was being demolish by austerity and the German Eurovision entry was some lady singing about her perfect life...

Now with Ukrainians faced with genocidal enemy which on record is calling for the deaths of millions of Ukrainians.... Germany goes with:

yes. it was stupid and wrong.

I'm making a language point. If you search (in Polish, cause this is about.... Poland, not the Caribbean or the Himalayas) dumplings are served 'in' (w) sauce or 'with' (z) sauce or other topings, not 'over' (nad or maybe na).


Sounds awful and not Polish at all....


theoretically yes, maybe a few people in Poland have prepared hot dishes with herring but at least 95 % (probably over 98%) of herring in Poland (not talking about some other place) is consumed cold.

Herring is sometimes cooked but then it is cooled for a long time (and/or chilled) before being eaten.

Why is this hard for you to understand? What is not clear?
