News / How will Poland be affected by WW3 which has now started [559]

There are a lot

Oho, you exploded with your writing here, what a contrast to your usual terse response it means I must have the nerve here.
We both know that the German government shows on its charts promises not have an accurate record of equipment and help already sent to Ukraine.

Let's start with the beginning like 10 000 helmets sent by Germany and 230 tanks sent by Poland.
So let's dispense with propaganda and have the real talk, if Germany aspires to be a leading power in the EU it should step up, leading costs money, effort, and investment. Trying to take for the ride The US, your neighbors, and Poland is not the way to do it.

----

How Finish leaders initially

Finland is a border country, and it will face the forces of the Russians if anything goes wrong. Why do you expect them to disarm their army just to send it to Ukraine? Whilst Germany can do it safely you are not a border country and you have a huge presence of the US troops on your soil. You can take that risk and somehow you don't.

only to stop sending new weapons

Don't listen to your German propaganda Poland didn't stop, I wish they would stop for a few reasons we don't have enough stuff to support our army, and like Findlan we are a border country that if anything goes wrong will face Russia as one of the first. So shut it if you don't know anything.

---
As for farmers, there is no reason for Poland to let Ukrainian agrarian import kill our farmers, and not only Polish, farmers all over the EU face the same issues cast by the unrestricted opening of the RU borders to agricultural produce from Ukirniae.

Why even your German farmer got ebiough t of it and is on strike!
---

"undercut Poland economically"?

In stiffing Polish development ( I can give you examples if you ask for it) and as you see by voting to open the EU borders to products from Ukriniae, that is harmful to Gemrna farmers too.

Your liberal government working with your big businesses and media have policies of their own and they don't hesitate to hurt their people in the process do you think they would care about Poland?

Hopefully Poland won't just resort to verbal grand-standing

Isn't that German forté nowadays as they proved to be masters of verbal grand-standing with issues concerning aid to Ukraine?
Indeed if Germany continues to undercut Poland economically there may be no standing at all as we would be able to field a proper army, would Germany step in? lol!

Hollywood,

That is why I claim you are not paying attention. What Hollywood? Was he gay or transgender was he persecuted by the evil white men? Why squabble between evil white men over which group could kill more Jews should be significant enough to make a Hollywood movie about it? He was a traitor to his race, wasn't he?

If you don't understand anything from the above it means you don't pay attention to woke, progressive BS that rules in Hollywood.

News / Polish PM Tusk- dictator or not? What Poles think? [455]

(Pawian) does....he has perverted fantasies

I wouldn't know what his fantasies are and what exactly he imagines but I guess those are sick and disgusting and don't like to dwell upon them.

Enough of that filth and degeneracy is siping onto this site we don't need to add to it.

That is unrelated to the promise of stationing troops there.

I'm sure it is. Nothing but a pure innocent coincidence and one has nothing to do with the other.
----

Realistically, Ilif Poland can not be motivated to defend its' neighbor, other countries won't send additional troops either.

Of course, Poland will help the Baltic states, at its discretion and according to the NATO general plan. Sure like hell won't be stationing their ground troops or rushing to fill a gap left by German empty promises.

Isaac Bashevis Singer

Do you? I read one or two of his books not more, was it only one? Doesn't matter what I took out of it that he was curing his own or Jeiwsh's complexes inferiority complex and not much besides it.

I think a lot of Poles nowadays suffer from the same complex.

I would say that Clifford Dowdey's writings are more to my test both the subject matter as well as his use of the language.

News / WOSP in Poland [161]

he positively infects people with

giving few zlotych once a year and thereafter feel like great people who have done their duty. Who asks, soldiers, TV crews, and firefighters to take part in his happenings for free to him and his charity, they are getting paid by taxpayers... lol!

----

Stop lying about Owsiak

Feel free to point out all the lies I said about him, and if you can't maybe you stop your lies about me, you idiot.

You are not only a pitiful fool but a whole liar who lies all the time, nobody believes you anymore.

News / WOSP in Poland [161]

Why do a small minority hate WOŚP so much

I don't hate it so I wouldn't know but I see two reasons they do it from a political point of view, as you know Owsiak has a political stance. As to the second reason some people are jealous that he makes money and looks like his goodie two shoes at the same time and sees it as hypocrisy.

I think that his financial dealings are not transparent and by the cars he and his family drive and other such issues one can tell they make a lot from this charity. lol!

What exactly good he do? The impact of that what I know of is negligible.

This year they spent 23 million zlotych to promote the PO campaign. Not that WOSP makes any difference as help and charities go.
They make a lot of money though and Owsiak keeps a lot for himself.

You have always needed a strong charismatic leader

Do I? lol!
It is you who needs leaders. You are the one who is calling Tusk your Saviour, idiot. Stop projecting so much. Ah and don't try to divert attention from the fact that you are getting all excited every time you mention nazi boys here, does your wife knows about your hidden tendencies?

Ah, and calling male posters here - darlings.
I don't care about those things but my eyes had been opened those days, puzzles come together. lol!

Why do you always have to be so radical, Pawian?

penned up frustration, living his life as a closeted gay, it must be it.

But

Ok, I see that adage coined by Jan Kochanowski comes handy - mądry Polak po szkodzie.
I will say that only last thing in our exchange:
Sure working with Germans was beneficial to our economy to a point, but now it has become a burden and a drag. If we had that set on a level playing field with a market economy with clear rules - I would say there is little to lose and lots to gain. But right now rules are set against us and experience teaches us they can change the rules of the play during the play so nothing is set in stone and as such it is all S't.

--
What will happen, nothing drastic, look at Greece they are surviving somehow, if we revert to the level of the 80s' and ''''90s' there is no need for Yalta. There will be no future for Poland.

At the moment they are our largest trade partner

So what? Their economy has been in ruin since the Russian war. Going down the recession path and their set 'green' policies do not help. What is going to happen if you let them? They will drag Poland's economy down with them just to maintain the current level of living for Germans in Germany. I don't see, how that would benefit Poland and Poles.

----

European funds

You keep talking about those funds. We don't need those funds as they are attached to such conditions that are not beneficial for Poland's economy (100% not a romantic argument, I don't see anything in my pots that you imply is there, it is rather you are 60% delusional eh?).

What would benefit us more would be equal and open access to the European market and as you can see as soon as the Polish companies took advantage of it and grew to outcompete in a free market condition their French and German counterparts the respective governments of those countries pulled their string in the EU Brussels TO IMPOSE not market limitations and rules to undercut our Polish companies. Why would they do it? Are they romantic?

Torq instead of being a delusional pen pusher you should just pay more attention to the real world.
---
If that is the reality of the EU and as Jon notices it is us not them, we should make our stand and not let them walk all over us like they would do if you let them one example of that I have presented you on a silver platter. (a civil war is often more vicious than any other conflict).

There is a pattern and rhythm and a way of negation and dealing, and if you start with hey - we must give up in the end because of this or that! Who is going to take you seriously and what negotiation power do you have? None, you can use a lot of oxygen talking some slogans about friendship and cooperation and compromise but that all means nothing, and in the real world means you were a weak, stupid whiny b'tyh that can be taken for everything she got!

Got it? I mean you are not stupid, why are you so obtuse?
---

In real life, however, there are many shades of grey between these two extremes.

Look in real life there are indeed different shades and complexities but in case you encounter sh'tt it doesn't matter what kind of grey it is, you will know by its texture and smell and its chemical content what it is.

So, slogans about middle ground, compromise need and reality, and this or that don't mean anything unless you see them properly in the context, and that seems to me you have a bigger problem with the backward context of issues that we talk about.

Some with Tusk? Who in his right mind would be content with Tusk, he is outright dangerous to the Polish interests, whereas JK is annoying and harmful in many ways to the Polish interests but to a lesser degree than Tusk, that one is obvious.

Unfortunately, there is no major power in Poland that could be trusted completely...

positivists and romanticists.

Tusk as a viable choice of what? lol! Dude stop gaslighting me or yourself he and his crew have nothing to offer, I have given him the opportunity to change my mind and the first few weeks of his government told me more than I need to know.

I'm judging him by performance and Poland's interests, not some sentimental crap.
---

h, have we swapped places with Portugal?

I don't know what you are talking about. Do you mean that we should just lie down and be a doormat? Because that is the only way politics nobody would have any issues with us.

At the moment they are our largest trade partner and the EU is on the brink of unblocking our KPO and structural funds (a part of it was transferred already).

Torq, you are a good dude in the sense you are a clever one but you are so naive as to the way of the world and especially the way the politicians work that ... It surprised me. You talk a good talk but when it comes to reality, not so much.

First of all, KPO is going to be on the brink for a very long time and is not that important, whole structure is more harmful than helpful to the Polish economy.

Structural funds, withheld illegally and spitefully by the EU are not important either, as they are telling Poland what to spend it on.
Tusk he buying support, giving a huge pay rise to the police and other people in administration, where is he going to take that money from, planned strategic investment into infrastructure, we are talking about the dude who stole OFE (or what it) and hasn't even bat an eye.

Next, are you telling me that the best way to have a good relationship with Germany is by doing everything they ask? Well, PiS was doing it with Ukraine and more, so how come our relationship is not a big love affair?

Maybe because politics does not work that way? eh?
Poland needs to take a stand and defend its vital interests whether someone likes it or not, I bet there are plenty of those who would rather prosper 't Poland's expense and greed is a powerful motivator but being a doormat that everybody walks over with easy doesn't constitute a good friendly foegin policy.

Do I have to explain it to you?
Germany has an issue with PiS for a few reasons - first, they didn't listen to them as much as they would have liked to, and they presented a more conservative face (while the German elite is liberal) Their investment into infrastructure in Poland would provide prosperity and growth for the Polish economy and German elites do not like to see Poland growing too much.

Hungaey are somller than Poland in very possible way, and somhow their poalcy skilfully excuted by Orban wiorks for them, Germany frathr then get into hugh and refuse to desl with them, trasfer their tanks prodcuton to Hungray, nodbdy kicked them out o fthe NATO or the EU.

Poland whos ecimany steddkly had been growing as the only ecnmy int the world baise Chinas, is again acting like immrartuer butler curig their laord favor. I somtimes think that is a naturlsecltion, mostmen with some pine either were xtermited by Soviets or Germans, some escped to the west and ther reast ( at least 80%

That is hardly "cashing in",

Promising them military presence and selling them German military equipment is cashing in political promises, you better deliver and don't try to shift the burden onto Poland.

---

hat Poland may want to make a large effort to defend them, I

As a part of NATO and not necessarily by sending troops there.

Not only weapons but also opened a line of credit

What credit? Who is going to pay for it and how much? It says credit but I don't believe it! At the very least they should pawn our art gallery from Lwow.

It is not we have spare equipment.

Do not underestimate the Germans, Iron.

I don't but they are ruled by schizophrenics, On the one hand, they want a nice little colony and take Poland for everything she has on the other they expect we are going to field an army big enough to defeat Russia. They can't have both at the same time, if they undercut us economically we won't be able to field that army. Simple!

and wiped the floor with them

He just sent some more Polish equipment To Ukraine for free! So, how he is better?
---

The United States of America are likely to go into splendid isolation (or at least a form of it)*.

They won't!
Also, Germany is in no position to help Poland even if for a moment t we would assume that they would like to.
Tusk is not in any policy I know of better than PiS and quite a few are even worse, we talked about it, and you told me to wait and see, well I can see.

Germany and the EU like Tusk and his cronies because he bends backwood for them and lets Poland be F without soap.

Genealogy / What does my Polish name mean? [402]

I am interested in genealogy and where my family MAY have come from prior to arriving in Poland.

Good for you. It is not a website where you can get an answer to your question.

What a strange opinion to have in a topic about this exact question.

I would say it is an honest and helpful opinion. It lets you know that the chances you will get some specific information are almost nonexistent and if you want to find some answers you need to look up Polish websites and specialists providing such services.

News / Future of Polish-Ukrainian relations [669]

War seems insane.

I find it insane on two accounts:
1, Comparing Russia to the US, is like comparing apples and oranges.
2, the level of delusion in Russia as to their standing in the world.
