Life / The Adult Entertainment Industry in Poland? [67]

I never understood why the sobriquet word 'adult' was given to portray sexual onanistic behavior which is anything but 'adult'. In the pûrn industry, sex is generally portrayed in a juvenile manner which is anything but mature let alone stimulating. In fact, it is often a turn-off.

Life / If I'm agnostic, deist, atheist - can I say that to Polish people in Poland? [72]

ZIMMY! Quick!

Zimmy will come with his machine gun.

My battalion of female Amazon warriors would quickly put a lie to the naive notion that women are peaceful creatures. Even my personal assistant Magda refuses to ovulate.

As to the false notion that women would not start wars (first propagated by feminists in the '60's), just off the top of my head (but not the bottom of my feet), here is a partial list of women who have done just that.

The female saint and duchiss of Poland Hedwig led an expedition to Ruthenia to re-establish Polish rule there.
Catherine the Great sent armies to fight several countries (including Poland).
Maria Theresa of Austria annexed large parts of Poland during the partitions.
Queen Tamara of Georgia who fought several wars usually against the Turks.
Golda Meir was no wall flower either.
Empress Matilda (England) and her forces defeated and captured King Stephen at the Battle of Lincoln which gave her the throne.
Kahina, (Jewish) Led the Berbers against Muslim Arabs.
Ana de Sousa Nzinga Mbande led her tribe in Africa & fought against the Portuguese.
Wu Zetian (China) became a ruler after ruthlessly killing off anyone who stood in her way.
The amazing ruler Sammuramat of Assyria not only led armies but even fought in battle.
Can anyone deny Queen Victoria's extreme British expansionist foreign policies?

The percentage of female rulers who started wars and/or fought for dubious reasons is comparable to the percentage of male rulers who have. The quantitative differences are reflected in the fact that there have been many more male rulers.

Although not known for starting wars, a personal favorite is Countess Elizabeth BÄ…thory who was known to partake in many dubious 'life-giving' blood bath rituals. Fortunately, the cosmetics industry never picked up on this elixir.

News / Poles start to feel arrogant and superior to Southern Europeans [182]

Every now and then it seems that someone makes a ridiculous titled assumption which is then commented on by regular posters. Possibly, it's the same immature person who posts most of these inane titles. The posted propositions are not worth commenting on. The person making them is childlike and probably has a low IQ.

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1080]

It doesn't matter what regional classification Poland has. It's just the idea of getting it right.

It cannot be disputed that geographically Poland is centrally located.
As to the fact that there is confusion as to whether Poland is "Eastern" or "Western", that sort of identity ambivalence alone makes it "Central". So Poland meets the requirements in both respects.

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1080]

Geographically, Poland is in central Europe. So in the 'physical-map' sense, it is central European.

Historically, Poland has been exposed to both East European and West European influences thus it is a center-point when looking for the 'average' of influences. Of course Sokrates and Crow may have something to say about that.

News / US to deploy Patriot missiles to Poland [405]

Mother (or is it Father) Nature will take care of it. Some virus or some asteroid or some man-made weapon-of-mass destruction will probably wipe out billions of people. I suspect this is not man-kinds first time around.

The typical Polish look, or all Eastern Europeans

I'm being a bit picky here but "Eastern Europeans" is not technically proper English. It's either Eastern Europe or East Europeans but not Eastern Europeans.

I admit though, to not always checking my spelling, especially when I'm drinking merlot.

Genealogy / The typical Polish look, or all Eastern Europeans [656]

You have to include a comment about the nose if we are to generalise. Mostly bigger than it should be.

They're the right size for the particular individual face. It's just like my legs. They're long enough to touch the ground when I walk otherwise I'd be forever floating.

The following is NOT MEANT to demean any particular group, but the biggest honker I ever saw happened to belong to a Jewish man. I kept wondering if he had a sister but didn't know how to broach that subject with him.

Love / How do Polish men feel about gender equality? [780]

I guess what I'm saying Zimmy is that there are finally measures in place to make the world a little less stratified and a little more equitable across the board for *all* minority groups (and, yes, this includes women).

Only a liberal would call a the majority of the population a "minority". With liberals everything is indeed relative. There are no truths.

your prejudice views would be wisely avoided in any workplace. God forbid you start mouthing off in the lunchroom and bring about a legal case for your employer.

My views are logical and fact-based which of course means that they are "politically incorrect" in todays western societies which have been administered by professional leftists for 4 decades now. That especially includes academia and the media.

You lunch room example is typical. I've heard women get away with comments that men would be punished for. This is no secret and anyone who works with men and women knows this empirically.

don't waste your f*cking time trying to bring OUR opinions back into the dark ages...

You're in the dark ages now and that's because your reflexes automatically discount facts which are inconvenient to you. Our cultures have lost common sense. Women are catered to in a variety of ways which omit men. Here is the latest in "political correctness" .....

UK, Ireland / Why Poles will never belong in England [283]

They would have one maybe two great and brilliant rioting individuals .Afterwards, for decades and for centuries, they would continually bring them up

I've admired Kosciusko as one of the greatest freedom fighters of all time. His name should be brought up centuries from now.

As to rioting, Poles seem to have done quite well with Solidarnosc. ]

Poles are the greatest rioters equal to, if not better, than British ones.

If Britain wasn't an island, it would have been swallowed up long ago. Location, location, location........

Love / Polish women are the most beautiful in the world! [1718]

I was in Wroclaw Poland and sawthe ugliest woman I have ever had the misfortune of seeing in my entire life. She had a huge nose that covered 2/3 of the length of her face, and her face was long, thin and pointy. It hung over like a heavy tree branch. She looked like a giant rat.

Were you devastated when she turned you down after you asked her out?

Really? He said "to the far south of Europe" which I inferred as Muslim transgressions into Europe.
What's he got against the Greeks and Italians? Spaniards too?
Okay Lyzko, what was your point? Give us your "politically correct" viewpoint.

Any dyed-in-the-wool Anglophiles out there.

There aren't many left. The plague sometimes known as "political correctness" has gripped too many of them. Only antidotes available such as honesty, logic and courage are in short supply.

your 'little brown' neighbors to the far south of Europe were building palaces, great vessels, metropolises, painting great artworks and sculpting timeless masterpieces, the Anglo-Saxons were sitting around their trough, eating mead and throwing bones at one another.

At least they didn't have to smell camel dung.

Who's the 'civilized' people now?

Ironic comment since your builders of "palaces, great vessels, metropolises, great artworks and ...masterpieces" seem to still be living in the 7th century. Meanwhile the great innovations such as air travel, computers, and a myriad of necessary revolutionary creations were invented by bone throwing Europeans.

You brought up moaning first so you must be aware of the answer. Of course not everyone can moan properly. In Poland one must first pass government specified courses.

"Grunting 101"
" Lamenting in Front of Others" (a particularly good class)
"Whimpering For Results"
"Whining While Dieting"
"Complaining 101"
and of course it is mandatory for women to take the " Nagging In Marriage" course.

There is a "Bemoaning class" as well but that course is only offered after all the other courses have been successfully passed.

To balance the rioting in England, Poles in Poznan are having a 'moan-in'. The streets will be overrun by thousands of moaners. Probably not much news coverage though.

What's so bad about being eastern European anyway?

Nothing!...but Poles are Central European although they are often lumped in with East Europeans. Even Henry Kissinger had a problem with it.

"I'm delighted," said Henry Kissinger, "to be here in Eastern, I mean Central Europe." And for the rest of his talk he kept saying "Eastern, I mean Central Europe." The place was Warsaw, the time, summer 1990, and this was the moment I knew Central Europe had triumphed.

nybooks.com/articles/archives/1999/mar/18/the-puzzle-of-central-europe/

the "Daily Mail" has not blamed the Poles yet. Still its early in the day!!!

Are they looking for a Polish surnamed rioter?

you learn/hear that Mongols occupied eastern europe,

So what's wrong with Mongols? When pricked, do they not bleed...........?

Most Euro-Kings and Queens bequeathed their sons and daughters to other nations families to keep the blood blue

Yes indeed, ironically these blue bloods are the most 'diversified' people of all; very mongrel-ized (not that there is anything wrong with that).

So who is Central European?

Germans, Poles Czechs, Slovaks, Hungarians and Austrians - oh, and half of Switzerland. Well, maybe Liechtenstein too.

I've just cut a deal with the government of Kashubia and will process Kashubian passports for those who wish to travel. These passports will allow the bearer to bi pass the burly Kashubian border guards who were personally trained by the Swiss Guards.

Anyone interested should contact; Kostek Kashubinski at 007 Reagan Avenue in New Wroclaw, Pomerania.

Nobody wants them here,

Really? "Nobody"?; not even 10 people?; five?

They can't escape themselves by coming to England, they will only live as an alien underclass, adulterate our culture and adulterate our blood.

You know, I"ve tried to "adulterate" my own blood but it never took. When I "adulterated" some English woman's blood, she just loved it; even left me a tip.

Poles don't care what the British think

Oh c'mon; they hang on every word that is muttered. In fact, Poles often quote Benny Hill when trying to think of wise things to say.

hey try to blend in because their skin is 'white'.

Why you sly devil you. I was "blending in" with an Englishwoman as recently as last night (not the same one who tipped me).

we don't want them to 'blend in'

...but my English lady friend was shouting "blend me", "blend me" for hours last night.

I regard Anglosaxon Protestants as white, not Slavic Catholics.

You picked up on that green tinge that Slavic Catholics have, eh? I'm surprised that its gone unnoticed for so long.

we don't want slavic genes in the British gene pool.

It's probably too late. Once slavic genes 'infect' the general population, not much can be done about it.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

The NYT were the first to run with muslim terrorist responsibilty, now withdrawn, of course.

The very liberal New York Times is often wrong. They excel in picking-and-choosing their headline stories. My comment, nevertheless, remains true.

cars get used a helluva lot more than guns do,

Yet, the end result is still there and that's why it is called the bottom line.

I might ski 2000 times before breaking my leg. You might ski 3 times before breaking your leg. Bottom lins is - we both have one broken leg each. We should outlaw skiing.
