Another one for the third grade. I loved it even more than the stork`s adventures. Odarpi, son of Egigwa by Centkiewicz duo.. It is set in 1940s in Greenland, I suppose, and it is about an Eskimo (today Inuit) boy who gradually grows up and, through hard work and doing daily duties, becomes mature and responsible while he contributes to his family survival in harsh conditions in the North. The boy gradually acquires the basic skill - effective hunting - first birds, then seals, buffaloes and walruses. I especially liked the scenes when Odarpi tries raw meat, e.g., of a dead whale or hunted seals, or the content of the walrus stomach (lightly digested mussels). Extremely exciting descriptions!

Of course, Odarpi has a lot of adventures - e.g., when Inuit hunters kill a female polar bear, he takes care of the bereft cub and raises it.

What did I learn from the book? Probably I started considering raw meat a very exciting dish. hahaha Secondly - I could have gained another piece of wisdom from it - much more important than raw meat - Everybody has to work hard in the distant North in order to survive! :)

No, I put it on the newspaper and left in the garage to warm coz I was going to work. Later my wife brought a box for the bat but it had disappeared and she couldn`t find it anywhere. She left the box on the floor. When I came from work, I found the bat in the box - it had flown into there on its own. Amazing.

No, of course not. Let them work and track down illegally parked cars which are a nuisance when they block your drive. Also, track down those idiots who burn rubbish or other illegal substances and one can`t even open the window at night. .

One more thing - 3 years ago I found a bat at my garage door. I took care of it and called the municipal police who sent an eco patrol to retrieve it.

About 10 years ago they fined me for illegal parking next to the Opera House but I already forgave them that hostile act. hahaha

I have read opinions that Hołownia and his party is nothing more than another centre party, PO, now in opposition.

Of course they are private opinions which might be true but they also can be false. We don`t know it until Hołownia`s men become a part of the government and we see the result of their rule.

We sorted it out long ago. Actually, there was no sorting at all coz I always knew what to do. I became independent at 22 and then lived on my own for a few years before I got married. So, doing the chores is so natural to me and I feel great with it. And I teach my sons to do them, too. .


I can`t coz I live in this country, and I see it is a hot issue which provokes divorces or contributes to an increasing number of incels. Sth must be done to stop it. You haven`t lived in Poland for 30 years now, and your kids aren`t going to live here, so you enjoy the privilige of not caring about the situation.
