My suggestion would be to take a couple weeks vacation over there and see if you like it first before you pack it up and go.

There aren't as many things to do in Poland and you probably will become bored after a few months.

And you will find out all of the daily luxuries we take for granted in the US aren't available in Poland.

The pay scale will be much lower and the cost of living is higher, but you have good credentials. Still the pay in the USA dwarfs Poland.

Find someone that immigrated from Poland and ask them if they are planning on moving back? Be careful, some become angry:)
