Germany needs time to sort out the mess that Merkel has created and when a solution is found Germany always over-delivers. Merkel is almost gone and it isn't clear if her successors will continue this madness or are looking for a compromise.

This whole situation is so retarded: All these people only want to come to Germany because they know how much benefits they will get there. After 2015 they should've removed all the incentives to come to Germany as an unskilled migrant. Unskilled immigration is net loss for both the destination country and the migrants themselves with only the human traffickers and the welfare industry as profiteers. But instead of removing the pull factors the left denies that they even exist and the right gets bogged down in pointless discussions about deportations and border control. EU needs to introduce the harshest sanctions possible. Not the current "some individuals, some companies, some goods in some time with some loopholes left" approach, but sanction everything right now. Total trade and logistic blockade of Belarus, complete embargo, no business whatsoever in any industry and walks of life.

And it's not just Belarus that needs to be sanctioned. No way this is happening without some approval and/or support from Russia - punish them too. Sanction all the countries, airports and airlines involved in this.
