I see you are catching uglily at a razor now. It doesn`t matter there wasn`t an independent Ukraine state. There wasn`t coz Poles had suppressed it in 1920s and earlier, in the 17th century. But there were still millions of Ukrainians living in the area who felt that Poles were robbing them of their stateless but still national heritage.

If they are not dangerous or disruptive, then everything is OK. In a nearby town where we go for shopping or other things, we often see a man who roams the streets energetically and greets everybody saying Hello, Doc! How are you doing? etc. He is harmless and nobody cares.

How??? They normally keep it in a safe and only take out for special quests like our school trip. One of our female teacher`s husband works in the National Bank and he arranged that trip for us.

It reminds me of a school trip I went on as a high school student. The father of one of our classmates was an officer in the Air Force and he arranged a flight on a military cargo plane over the city for our whole class.

Because while I was delivering it, I devoured the rest which you can`t see. I can`t resist when i see fruit on cakes.

Polish students love going on trips to break away from oppressive school. They go to museums, galleries, other cities, Erasmus camps, mountains, seaside, etc etc One one and more days trips.

Here is a very unusual one - it happened only once in our school. A visit to the National Bank combined with handling gold bars. Amasing!!!
