Love / English Men vs Polish Men [207]

Thus proving British is best! sorry.

Wrong, it proves nothing about British men but does it prove she's a old slag who couldn't get another bloke and you thinking Guy is going to have her back is wrong, he'll have a new woman in his bed quicker than you can say "I'm on the front page of Hello with my new bird" As for British men being less emotional, you're talking shite, some are some are not. It's worthless debate.

Anyone who honestly believes you can determine someone's character/sexual preference etc. based on their nationality is an idiot. Plain and simple.

Hmm Italian men seem to be a bit more randy, every time my mate goes to Milan for meetings she gets her bum pinched ;0) Funnily enought it doesn't happen when she goes to Germany!

Love / They seem nice, but could Polish girls be "gold diggers"? [196]

had any input into those things she's after she has no right to them and no legal aid would take the case.

Not quite that simple in the UK unfortunately - she can take him for the shirt off his back whether she has paid a penny or not :(

she has no right to them and no legal aid would take the case.

Again, welcome to the wonderful country called England where peoeple who work hard get fucked up the arse and bastards come out smelling of roses!

If you paid for that stuff, have proof of transactions and she did not have any input into their purchase she's not getting a penny.

The w (wife) word means she has got claims on everything!

Love / English Men vs Polish Men [207]

I know not everyone is like James Bond.

He's a fictional character, he's also a womanising fictional character, not exactly the kind of man any decent woman would want to 'fall' for!

Men are men some English men are romantic and kind, some are arseholes, Im sure the same can be said for Polish men!

Big of stupid debate really!

History / Can anyone from Poland tell me about Auschwitz and The Ghetto? [582]

sjam

It's easy to judge people for what they have done, under the circumstances which we all know were harsh, I am sure many many people acted in ways they would not have imagined possible. Can you honestly say, under the same circumstances that you would not have done anything to keep your family safe, warm and fed? It's really easy to say how a person might react in a situation, but until you have walked in those shoes, you just cant.

War brings the best and the worst out in people.

Since you are such an expert on concentration camps - care to remind me who invented them and used them first?

We rounded up young male German immigrants living in the UK at the outbreak of The Great War..but we didn't starve them or beat them as far as I am aware.

Off-Topic / What's your connection with Poland? Penpals. [554]

would not wait too long for the email to arrive, perhaps you should move on and find another beauty in the midst, by the time you have finished you can be "spouting several countries cultures" depending upon which nationality you choose, and build up a very impressional record!

I know your words here are wise,

Is randle missing something?

er... i hate to break it to you...

Surly not Mr B! ;-)

Life / If I could introduce something from my country into Poland, I would.... [175]

Shelly, I asuume ur a smoker so let me enlighten you. Fat people cant kill me with their eating, smokers can kill me with their habit, just look at Roy Castle.

Fat people cost the NHS more than smokers (and pay a damn sight less in tax on their fat habit)! A fat person could fall on me, therefore endangering my life, in fact there is as much chance of me dying from a fat person falling on me as there is of you dying of passive smoking!

Do you live here or are you just a UK hater. The variety of staeaks we get in the UK is much wider than here, try and find a nice T-bone or some excellent sirloin.

Hang on a minute! I love my country! The quality of meat in the UK is poor, unless you pay £25 quid for a half decent steak - I have had some lovely steaks in Poland for a fraction of that price and had it cooked for me in the bargain! As for T-bone, one moment you are going on about dying of passive smoking yet you will take the chance of contracting CJD!

I'm a female, not a MAN and of course they are, I'm merely pointing out that you are talking shite, with a capital S.

Stella is not considered by most a good beer, now on the other hand Erdinger is a decent beer or Pilner Urquell.

Steak in E. Europe which includes Poland is far tastier than I have had in the UK in any restaurant, which includes some very nice ones I have been to.

Agree with the shyte steak comments! Last steak sampled here in Poland was in jelenia Gora....definitely NOT a cow! Unidentified roadkill?? Possibly dog, or maybe giraffe! But no competition for Britain's finest! And no contribution to world civilisation!!

Liar!

Stella?? I love it! Wife's not fussed tho'...can't work out why!

Liar!

Fat people AND smokers should be banned from restaurants as they are both health hazards! Nothing more off putting than the smell of a fat person and the look of a smoker!! Especially when you are tucking into your long-anticipated Polish steak!!!

Cock!

Brit style!

British born.... Not British, there is a difference.

Ok ok...all the other comments are fair and well stated...but being deserved to kicked about...get a grip man...NO ONe...especially me deserves a good kicking from the Police...(btw it's never happened to me!) I'm a relaxed, helpful, and respectful guy...man i'm a teacher ( qualified btw...getting a bit annoyed with non qualified NATIVE speakers!!)

People who try and ruck with the law in a different country and come off badly, deserve everything they get IMO. As for your teaching abilities, I wouldn't know, as for your gripe with non qual native speakers, that is your problem, deal with it or leave Poland and try somewhere else!

Regarding your expertise in steaks, I find it hard to believe - good quality steak comes from good livestock not one particular steak house chain!

LOL...i am a Brit abroad!!!...

Not exactly! Just because a dog is born in a stable it doesn't make it a horse!

I disagree with the Stella comment!...Loved i Belgium!!!...aint that in Europe!

Good for you, Stella is still a piss poor beer. Yes Belgium is in Europe or are you asking for confirmation that it is?

paying top price for a meal...at a great restaurant....with great atmosphere..only to have it ruined by some 'idiotic' muppet smoking sucks!

Tough, so you don't smoke, millions of others do, I have to watch fat people stuff their faces, that makes me sick, can we ban them from eating??????

Steaks superior to England...lmao....

Why laugh, most people would agree with me or are you an expert on Steak around Europe? I eat my steak rare to medium rare and have never had a bad one in any country in E. Europe.

The police don't fuck about!...yeah cos they haven't the intelligence...they act like cavemen!

LOL - been kicked about have we??? you probably deserved it, I found the Police and the Security in Poland to be quite wonderful and I quite liked the way they dealt with people in a swift no nonsense manner :)

Top Quality steaks

Hmm, that's strange, I find the quality of steak in Poland superior to that in the UK.

lol...nah man...the police here are crazy...they are like renegades...i just dont trust them!

I felt particularly safe in Poland, due to the fact the Police don't fuck about! If you're on the right side of the law you have no worries.

The no smoking ban!!!!!

Will never happen! thank god! They don't have some PC nanny state like we have here in the UK! Or at least not yet :(

Stella Artois.. aka wife beater!

Why? Stella is shit and laughed at everywhere in Europe, it's only certain idiotic British people that seem to still think that it's some kind of wonderful drink! German and Czech beers piss all over it!

As for

A decent (reasonably priced!) Curry house!!!!

My piss head mates!

Fish and Chips Bar..aka chippy

As for the above, don't you think you're trying a little bit too hard to sound all "Brit abroad"!

Love / Do Polish Women age well? [153]

Women are opting for younger men these days, since women take care of themselves they can bag a younger man - why date some big fat old loser when you get a someone in their prime whose sex drive still works ;)

Love / Do Polish Women age well? [153]

like, how well do british men or irish men age?

Some very well, some not so well.

should we take on a young stud who has ripples of muscles or keep the man we married because hes the one we love?

I'll opt for the stud, Im quite shallow, life's too short to end your days with some big fat loser ;)

Do you know any stunning women in their 40/50's that have been working their whole life in a factory? Well there weren't many business women in communist times around here.

As usual you hit the nail on the head :)

botox...

Nothing wrong with giving nature a little bit of help :)

This might not be such a big problem for you. Most of these old women that you see, buried their husbands years earlier. :)

:) :) :)

i've had plenty of conversations elsewhere about the lack of pretty women in Ireland too

How rude!

You have just signed your death warrant.

Not at all I am inclined to agree that (more) men do look better as they age than women - this could be due to the fact that their hormones do not decrease as much as womens do, womens bodies (inner workings) start to change considerably in their 40s.

Also maybe Polish women have not yet been brainwashed into wearing a 40spf moisturiser for the last 20 years like we have in the UK.

Language / IS "MURZYN" word RACIST? [686]

Or DICKinSON? ;)

I worked with a girl who married a guy called Hardcok - now that's an offensive surname :)

then in few yr all that racist topics in tv,net etc will die.

Nope, what will happen will be a lot of PC rubbish and having books removed and logos removed and anything else that might offend the guests in your country!

Should Cilla Black change her surname? Oh and my friend has an uncle Paki (pet name for Patrick in Ireland)

Welcome to our lovely multi-cultural society :)

Law / Polish EU Drivers Licence - can I get one the easy way (by paying for it)? [185]

The other part that makes it so ridiculous is that the DSA's examiners quite clearly have a motive not to pass everyone.

What evidence do you have apart from pure guess work?

then pass a test without being able to drive in a wide range of conditions?

What conditions? All areas of driving are covered whilst taking driving lessons. Motorway driving lessons are optional.

The Polish system seems to be great in the respect that you're required to be fully trained before sitting a test.

I don't see any difference, the UK system is practically the same. Why remove the test? Don't tell me you have failed several times but you think you are a better driver than most people on the roads!!!! By the way the 'exam' is a simple drive with someone assessing you in the car - nothing difficult involved if you are a competent driver.

History / What do Poles think about Turks? [761]

I totally aggree with you "wildrover" though I was referring to the other way around, stereotypes in Turkish people's minds about Western People.

I have to say that this is one of the most interesting and honest posts I have seen in quite some time on this fourm, which also compounds what I have always said, men from certain countries treat Western women with complete dissrespect because of their own ignorance and beliefs. (no offence to the poster you seem quite a well rounded person)

Life / Cost of converting cars in Poland to left-hand drive [58]

Get in touch with the AA they will probably be able to recommend a good garage that can do this in your area. It's probably more common these days as so many people are passing through and purchasing cars in the UK to take back home.

Life / Famous / Iconic Polish Women [48]

Thanks guys, it's amazing the achivements of these women..something to be celebrated. :)

How much more iconic can one be?

Probably some peoples idea of "iconic" is quite different! She goes down in history for great achievments and i dont personally think you can get more Iconic than that :)
