Life / New trend in Poland - dogging. [29]

All of your posts seem to have some sexual theme to them. I'm starting to feel sorry for you but not as sorry as I feel for all those blow up dolls in your poor ventilated room.

Do keep up ;)

southern thinks that paying prostitutes counts as "being good at getting Polki into bed".

We've put up with this seller of Turkish kebabs for over four years. All his posts are the same, so we just smile and move on now ;)

Is Poland becoming civilised country on par with the world

And about time too! It's always been hard work convincing Polish women to have sex outside (ime), so anything which encourages this, is good news to me :D

...wow people have sex and Iron is not invited lol

lol. Maybe everyone thinks his name is "Ironhoof" and not "Ironside" lol ;)

Language / IS "MURZYN" word RACIST? [686]

That must have been a useless "Pol-Am" dictionary, then.

All the Polish dictionaries I own translate it as "black person" (non-offensive), not nigger.

Czarnuch (offensive) = nigger - as I suspect you very well know.

on what basis? just curious.

I've no idea where they get this idea from, but someone has called you Serbian again this evening, lol :)

your paranoic brain and that of the others who you call 'everyone' in this matter are too boring. really.

What the f*** are you talking about?

It was a serious question - a lot of people on here think you're a Serb, and I can't understand why they do - but I was starting to think you are too.

It doesn't matter whether you are or not. As long as you don't start abusing Poles, I couldn't care less whether you were Serbian, German, Armenian, Azerbaijani or Korean - it's nothing to with whether it is "shameful" or not.

Language / Is the term 'Polak' derogatory?? [254]

It would look ridiculous If I started call english people - anglicy/ angielki. Anglicy are nice people, Angielki also :)

Yeah but Poles say "Angol/Angole" if they don't like the English lol :)

Language / Is the term 'Polak' derogatory?? [254]

but you still have a lot to learn about American English

Oh well... I'll just have to make do with "British English", I suppose. What a shame :D

To your average redneck it’s all the same. Ignorance as to the meaning on their part does not change the intent, anyone that is trying to rationalize it any other way just another fool.

Nothing is dumber than this thread.

"Polak" is a non-offensive, non-colloquial Polish word which simply and ONLY means "Pole/a Pole/a (male) Polish person", etc. Polack is a Yank word which is pronounced differently, and I've heard it in several American films, etc - it's always used as an insult. Over here, no English speaker uses either version; like a native Pole mentioned earlier, in the UK, you would add an offensive word to get your point across, e.g. f***ing Pole/stupid Pole/dirty Pole, etc. Same in Polish: "pierdolony Polak" etc. Unless people here start talking about "you f***ing Polaks", it's unlikely to be used in offensive manner over here.

Food / British food products in Poland? [334]

Hammond's

I drove past there a few weeks ago; I think it's "yuppie" (well, about as "yuppie" as you can get in West Yorkshire anyway... lol) flats now :(

Off-Topic / What languages do you know? [51]

Fluent (from birth): English, Polish.-

Intermediate to advanced (though rapidly worsening now due to lack of opportunity to speak): Czech.

Used to know to reasonable conversational level: French (almost completely forgotten now).

Used to know very basic conversation: Italian, Cantonese (all forgotten now).

Sadly, the only German I know is "Polen-Invasion stoppen", lol :D

I really need to start travelling again soon, because that makes me get the language courses out :)

If I won the Lottery, one of my goals would be to learn enough basic conversation to communicate with virtually everyone in the world - so I would brush up on the French, then learn some Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Hindi and Mandarin. I would also play the "Asians who want to learn Polish" game, and learn Afrikaans - simply because I love Afrikaner women (and especially their accents) haha :)

Food / British food products in Poland? [334]

why would you want to subject yourself to british food on the continent when there is so much excellent french and italian to enjoy?!

Why would you want to suject yourself to overrated French food when you can have Indian, Thai or Chinese?

but where is the text

On the images :) duh!

gherkins

Well, we do like pickles... lol.

I really cannot believe that anyone would leave Britain and crave these utterly loathsome and revolting foodstuffs.

I have to admit I do like HP sauce. And it's not made in Birmingham (or indeed the UK) any more, iirc, so it's not even that "British" these days. I should be in Warsaw after Christmas, though; so if anyone wants some... lol.

Mind you, my time in the North also means that I learned to like gravy on my chips as well.. lmao :)

Yet another "Pole" who can't speak Polish, and therefore doesn't know the difference between "Polak" and "Polack" - lol!

Come back Delph... all is forgiven :D

Life / Why Polish people should be proud of being Polish? [370]

I have a friend who used to say every single time I was with her to see a movie that polish firlms are grey.

You could have gone to see something like "Dlaczego nie!" instead :)

Language / Polish was chosen the HARDEST LANGUAGE in the world to learn... :D [1558]

Piwo is the most important Polish word

I can think of a better one :D hehe

Anyway, more to the point... I'd suggest that Sentinelese is actually the hardest language in the world to learn.

Why?

Well, there are no reference texts, for a start. And you can be killed just for trying to converse with the native speakers! lol :)

Love / English Men vs Polish Men [207]

It is in all the countries Britain has exported its boorish idiotic binge-drinking culture to. Therefore, Ireland, America and Australia. Other countries might get catastrophically drunk, but the sudden desire to bare their buttocks (and their other, significantly smaller, muscles) is a purely Anglo-saxon trait.

The last time I was in Krakow, I ended up apologising for some bunch of English idiots who decided to do this outside a pub on a Sunday afternoon, and took photos! You could hear them from some distance away, shouting "We Are Leeds" or some other misguided nonsense ("we are pr*cks" would have been better). An elderly Polish lady looked at me and told me what she thought of all this. I explained (in Polish) that I was also from England, but that these scumbags bring shame on our country, and there are far too many of them.

Technically we don't need men any more. We can have babies via a sperm bank, we can look after ourselves emotionally, physically, materially.

I don't "need" a woman either, just like I didn't "need" that Christmas pudding I had last night... but it makes life feel better, so why not :)

A sperm bank won't give you a massive divorce settlement, but I'm sure that someone like you would still campaign for the money if you thought you could get away with it. It's near-impossible to look after a baby and earn money completely independently at the same time, so spare us the lies. You know full well that the only practical way you can really do it "independently" is if someone else looks after your child while you are at work, if someone else pays for your childcare, or if you claim benefits - and none of those count as "independent". Time to buy a dictionary. :p

I'll leave the rest to Zimmy, lol :)

Love / Google: Polish women "easier" than English women - official! [52]

Yeah but that's just Polish men who still think that having a Wałęsa moustache is manly, but can't understand why it doesn't appeal to Polish women any more ;)

The women southern allegedly "dates" = easy.

The women I date = not easy.

Simples! :)

Love / Google: Polish women "easier" than English women - official! [52]

A completely tongue-in-cheek thread, definitely not intended to offend Polish women (I love 'em!), but it's funny what you can find on Google :)

As you can probably tell, I was trying to find out how much the easyBus to Gatwick Airport costs.

So I decided to search for something else "easy".

Does auto-complete lie? Or is google just an anti-Polish conspiracy?

Interestingly enough, doing the same search, but changing "Polish" to other nationalities, gives surprising results.

English women: none (!)

Chinese and Filipina women: one.

Zimbabwean, Austrian, Argentinian, Italian, Serbian and Lebanese: none.

But only Polish women get two :D

However, (and few PF readers will be surprised by this), but when you type "Easy Pakistani w ", you get "easy visa for pakistani which country" and nothing else!! lol

Love / Polish women are the most beautiful in the world! [1718]

The only reason this thread gets so much attention is because Polish people are the main commenters

There are hardly any Polish people on this forum, you pr*ck.

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1090]

Interesting to read that everyone on here has decided that Poles are definitely "eastern Europeans"... except for Poles themselves. So we're allowed to self-identify any more? It's a human right to be able to do so, so **** what you all think.

Don't insult Indians by calling them "Pakis", and don't insult Poles by calling us "east Europeans", we do NOT like being associated with invading Soviet scum. Capisce?

Love / What are the best love poems in Polish to receive? [77]

You guys need a stronger moderator. My relationship ended when I gave this to my girl. Thanks for nothing. You can keep your Polish Forum and shove it where the sun don't shine!!!!!!!

Then you're as dumb as the people who get Chinese tattoos, without being able to read that it actually says "I Am Stupid Gweilo" and not "I Love Chantelle-Jade" :D

Travel / Why does everyone seem to hate LOT Polish Airlines? [382]

lol, that place reminds me of the old Etiuda terminal. Four A340s turn up at the same time, with one hour to transfer to another flight... and they have four people on security. The toilets are worse than a nightclub at 4am. And everyone ignores the "don't sleep on the prayer room floor" signs :D

It's not often that we can say that Poland is ahead of a rich oil-producing state, but they are on this one :)

This thread should be merged with this thread, really: Why does everyone seem to hate LOT Polish Airlines?

I shouldn't be doing the mods job for them lol ;)

Good: Qatar Airways

Without doubt the best in-flight food I've ever had, better than some restaurants. There's no way you would get a decent main-course curry at 6am on a LOT flight, that's for sure :)

Life / Rate Poland (Life Quality / Culture and People / Food): 1-10! [232]

However good what you have at home, part of the purpose of eating out for me is to try something a bit more sophisticated, something that you don't usually eat everyday

Kind of.

But I like the occasional restaurant/takeaway simply because it's a break from my own food, or a break from the need to cook for myself. I often order something I would cook at home, but it's nice to taste someone else's version sometimes.

I can't imagine ever making sushi at home though, so I would go to a restaurant specifically for that, though.

Life / Rate Poland (Life Quality / Culture and People / Food): 1-10! [232]

because most of the time, it's the only food they know.

Or, in many cases, it's the only food they want to know.

My mum has many stories of visitors who "don't want to eat anything except Polish food" :(

Hopefully this is changing now, but the change will be slow.
