The question is what that source is worth.

what about your source. You are not even able to interpret it correctly and the census did not include all people form the given area, but a part of population. There is even a note in wiki, that the numbers have been tempered with, so you have no point, well maybe just an excuse to call people names. You are a nutcase indeed.

Not that strange really: there are some Poles who always always always defend anything and everything Polish whenever a non-Pole says anything even slightly negative about the Polish thing. You know the kind I mean, the ones who say things like "Samantha Geimer was a prostitute".

I deal with such attitude on the daily basis, it is frustrating really.

my Polish friends and relatives admit on the daily basis that there are so many irresponsible and really bad drivers it Poland then comes Monia who claims that it is otherwise. Fekkign Twilight Zone I say;).

Whatever makes you happy Monia, but please never ever discuss, or attempt to discuss anything serious, which has anything to do with the loss of human life in the future.

I feel sorry for all those people who die in car crashes in Poland. Useless.

That's the point, many of them were raised speaking Russian and during the Soviet times didn't identify with the Ukrainian language.

sounds like a wishful thinking on your part. I am Ukrainian and I have never heard that Ukrainian was a peasant language. It is a language which had its ups and downs over the centuries, but it def survived and it is no peasant by any means.

Foreigners must bear in mind that Poles are well aware of what goes on and they voice their opposition in their own way.

that sums things up. Poles are very aware of what is going on, yet when the discussion happens, they become defensive, because many are part of that corrupted system.

if you read other links on that side you will see the reports on corruption in Poland. I understand that corruption has to fall into the perceived since in order not to be perceived it has to be proved- that is the nature of corruption.

However, most Poles agree that Poland is a corrupt country because they see it with their own eyes, yet they keep quiet about it when it comes to reporting it. I wonder why?

On 1 December 2011, Transparency International has published the latest edition of the Corruption Perceptions Index. This time, the survey covered the 183 state. In this year's edition of the Index Poland with a score of 5.5 point was classified on the 41st place tie with the Republic of Cape Verde. Compared to last year, this means maintaining the position in the ranking, but outperformed by 0.2 points.

Corruption Perceptions Index is a test that shows how the society of the countries perceive the extent and scope of the current corruption in them. The study, therefore, does not show the scale of the problem directly, but only social feelings about it. So you can not easily translate the state place in the Index to the conclusion that it is more or less corrupt, but only that the inhabitants declared that corruption is more or less present in the life, or that it increases or decreases.

I still say, this is a stupid generalization, and none of my friends and family deserves this. I thought I clearly explained it twice before.

it is, but not all Poles fall into that category, so stop taking it personally.

Poles are often dishonest in the Western way of thinking. Westerners are usually into your face telling you what they think. Poles on the other hand often don't and are rather more passive aggressive. That applies to business as well as personal life.

Did you notice that Poles usually felt inferior to every ethnic group of Western Europe but now they act like they are superior to Greeks, Portuguese, Spaniards etc.? They often say things like "these lazy PIIGS from Southern Europe should learn from Poles discipline and work ethics".

another case of inferiority complex in a different form IMO. Just an observation.

Any idea what herbs and spices?

I use allspice, majoran, cumin, prunes, mushroom, red wine.........bay leaf, salt, pepper.

I do layers of kapusta, spices and cook it in the over for 30 min, then I take it out and slow cook it.

Now i feel this may have been an individual staff problem and not an indictment of lot in general. They have made some good strides lately, and considering their ceo is only on 200k or so, are playing it smart. Their new long haul route to vietnam has been a success and the only reason their long haul planes appear old is that they are waiting for the massively delayed 787s, like everyone else.

wow, are you a spokesman for LOT?

I just love when people are late and then they complain on forums that they were mistreated.

because they don't move the law? I think you are wrong. First of all, Americans have larger lawns and longer driveways, so there is enough of work for both of sexes.

Yes, Polish women still wear hight heels and that doesn't go well with lawn, or does it?

Anyways, this is not about American women, this thread is about Polish husbands.

From my observation, Polish husbands like to be good providers and always take the garbage out, kitchen (especially for older generations) still belongs to women. With younger generation those gender roles are changing and both of the sexes are more equal when it comes to work division.

As for husbands- in general Polish men make very good husbands. Not all of them according to Urszula, but there is always a bad apple.
