News / Should Poland exit the EU immediately? [377]

just when I think your lack of knowledge cannot astound me any further

I was thinking the same with you.
You would be speaking German today if it wasn't for the American troops.
Poland can not afford to exit the EU even if it wanted to.

Wise words

They will not be allowed to take just the cream of the EU without giving something back.

News / Should Poland exit the EU immediately? [377]

I even understand the American attitude - who in America would support going to war over Poland?

No you don't dough boy. You don't live here, have never been here or never will be.
Now you are claiming to be an authority on understanding America's attitude.
Have you heard about WW2 by any chance with American troops defending Poland ?

Germany will have no choice but to defend Poland in the event of attack.

No doubt because they are a coalition of NATO.
But without the United States Germany wouldn't be able to defend Poland against Russia.
I rest my case.

Life / All Things Christmassy in Poland [332]

but it doesn't mean us foreigners have to :))

You are using the term "foreigner" as being foreign to Jesus Christ's inspired words ? A non believer ?
Then No, you wouldn't have to on the grounds of ignorance.

those things are so boring you need drink to get through them!

As a typical alcoholic would say, we need to get pickled to go to a football game, a wedding, a funeral, family gatherings, while on vacations, at the end of the day, sitting watching t.v. at home, while playing on the internet, while socializing with friends, holidays and now it is we have to be drinking to experience a church function.

Drinking has ruined more Christmas's then one could count.
It would be easier to put a hot poker up a wild cats *** then to try and convince an alcoholic of that however.

At our house there is always a fight of who gets the turkey carcass.
Buddy you want to make some good soup that's the ticket.
And with what little bone is left after that the dog gets his Christmas dinner.
The only thing from a turkey that does not go to use here at Christmas is the gobble.
Same with a ham bone. Oh my the split pea soup that makes.
You kids just don't know how us poor folk use to survive.
We use to go to the store with a dollar and get leg of lamb, potato's, loaf of bread, some pickles, a couple bottles of good wine and a few other things for Christmas dinner. (But that was before security camera's.)

Genealogy / What are common Polish character traits? [425]

If someone can explain the reason why some (a lot of?) Poles behave in such an incoherent manner, I will greatly appreciate...

I think the arm pit hair may play a major factor in it.
One nice trait is that Polish girls shave their arm pit hair while say the French girls braid theirs.

Life / Moving to Poland and not drinking vodka [27]

I'm a little worried about it being such a widespread thing that it becomes a significant social problem, or problem with future girlfriend's family, etc.

I think you should be your own man.
If you don't want to drink vodka then don't.
You don't have to apologize to anyone and soon your peers will not even give it a second thought that you are not throwing one back with them.

It might even be a blessing by setting an example for someone that shouldn't be drinking vodka themselves or may feel pressured like you and want to stop themselves from doing this.

Stand strong and be your own man. Alcoholics = Losers

Unfortunately too, alcoholism is not seen as a disease by still too many Poles.

Alcoholism is not a disease, it is a weakness.

Feedback / Is it Polish forum or foreign forum? [159]

Are we really talking about Ironside and Ziemowit here?

Those two classy Poles that can't stomach the Brit expats that have invaded the PF with their "Brilliance".
Everyone seems to get along with the Polish posters here except the Brit Bullies.
The Polish posters get along with everyone except the Brit Bullies.
Nobody gets along with the Brit Bullies except other Brit Bullies.
See the pattern.

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

Ugly guys from the West have generally no chance in their home countries to find decent local women so they come to Poland and other Eastern countries where a lot of chicks go for just ANYbody as long as the guys are from the West.

Normally you write stupid things but this time you are spot on, brilliant!

I have to agree with you on that one Ktos, she did nail it this time.
A lot of young guys just out of the nest expect their mates to take over where mama left off.
They are looking for a mother to pamper them not a soul mate as an equal.
Same with women just out of the nest, they are looking for a man to pamper their whims just like daddy did.
Problem is that most young guys just starting out don't make that kind of jingle to keep up with daddy.
There are three stages in marriage, first one is love, second one is lust, and the third one is money.
It's what keeps the world spinning.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

Just shows that Johnny's full of nonsense, as he clearly doesn't know anyone in Poland that supports gun ownership

Just got my last e-mil back from my Polish friends,
ALL of them.....100% of them said they would support such legislation but since delphie is an authority that I don't know anyone in Poland let's pretend that he is right even though he is not.

My wife is a far better shot than me, for instance.

So you do have one ?

I could get one if I wanted...

So you don't have one ?
Someone is lying.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

OK Johnny, as a true Pole you'll be able to find some stats on surveys conducted on whether Poles want guns or not, or media articles on Poles lobbying for guns. Having said that, you might find that difficult as Poles do not want guns. But you wouldn't know that, would you? What you know about Poland would fit on a grain of rice.

I don't accept your personal delegated work. You can do that yourself and being a teacher you should have a wealth of liberal resources to choose from. I would suppose it would be who you ask to get the answer that you wanted.

What I do know is that ALL my Polish pen pals have told me that they would own a gun if they could.
What I know about Poland is more then you know about Texas which would fit on a fleas back.

If even just a few of the Paris concert attendees had been packing a rod, they could have taken out one or more of the terrorists and thereby saved a number of lives.

Exactly one of my points Pol3.

edited

There few Representatives voted in in the last election in Poland who are openly propagating a gun ownership for the Polish citizens.

It's probably one of the things that got them elected as the Polish people aren't stupid as some of the ex pats that live in Poland who post on here as authority as what the Polish people want in gun ownership.

Oh, and before you do, "we told you so" about that too so when it does happen you can cry another pity party about being beneath contempt.

Food / Why Poles not like rice? [95]

There's nothing ignorant about words meaning different things in different languages.

Try to explain that to a German. Ukraine or 'the' Ukraine. lol
White rice is horrible for you as it is loaded with sugar.
I think in the old days it was territorial do to climate and growing conditions for availability which has been passed on to the next generation.

I have noticed that ALL my Polish relatives (from ancestry) in "America" do not eat rice and prefer spuds.
Here in the Caribbean countries (Jamaica) you can expect rice with almost every meal served.
Rice, red beans, coconut milk (to sweeten it) boiled with scallions, called rice & peas.
Then we ad either pepper sauce, curry, tomato, ketchup or whatever to spice it.

News / School shooting in Sweden. Should Poland be worried about a copycat? [24]

Read my above post Johnny, it WASN'T a shooting.

I said thank you for helping me out to understand how a shooting could have possibly happened.
But then on the other hand if the teacher would have been afforded to own a gun to protect herself
from such an attack she may still be alive today.

Life / Poor hygiene of people in public places in Poland [46]

I couldn't imagine a bigger, smellier cesspool than Africa.

Oh I could, how about New Jersey, now that place really stinks.

Well that shows you don't really know me.

Sure we do Pigsy. That is why you are banned and have to use several guest nicks.

If you people respected your elderly you would not allow them to wallow in filth and bodily secretions.

Elderly hell, how about when you fell in the crap bowl in the bar and wallowed in secretion ?
Whatever possessed you to come on here and post to belittle the elderly Polish people ?
There is nothing more precious then to see a little old poor Polish villager smiling for the camera knowing what a hard life they
have endured yet still are smiling.
You are beneath contempt.

Sarah, you have the same accent as one of our Scottish members who posts on here.
He hasn't posted all day under his real nick which I find kind of a coincidence.
Has it ever crossed your mind that these people that you are so quick to judge are doing the best they can with what they have.

Without "daddy's" pocketbook you would most likely be right there rubbing elbows with them.

News / Nuclear Power in Poland? Yes, please! Absolutely nobody disagrees! [73]

Shouldn't be a problem in the winter.

Why, the water levels will still be low this winter.
It's my understanding that many of the coal producing electrical plant's are old and will be in need of major maintenance with some even closing.

That along with low water levels could produce a shortage.
If so Poland electrical grid (again to my understanding) has no other E.U. countries to really import electricity from.
Hopefully you are right however what a better time to catch up with the 21st century.

News / Nuclear Power in Poland? Yes, please! Absolutely nobody disagrees! [73]

It will be much easier and straight forward to implement the technology without consistently whining "ciemnogród".

This winter looks like Poland could have a serious shortage of electricity.
Maybe when people start freezing the whiners will speed things up.

Hopefully fussion will be more reliable by then.

The first nuclear energy plants were built over 60 years ago here in the United States.
I am sure by now fusion is reliable.

News / Nuclear Power in Poland? Yes, please! Absolutely nobody disagrees! [73]

With the coal generating plants getting old and out of repair (costly), the damage they do to the environment (acid rain) that pollutes the rest of the world, health issues they cause in Poland, the shortage of power Poland will experience this winter........it sure seems that Poland would come out of the dark ages (no pun intended) and get that nuclear plant up and running for an abundance of electricity, cheaper electricity, cleaner electricity and quit polluting the rest of the world.

The good paying jobs it would create to finish building it, run it, maintain it, plus sell the surplus to other countries grids would be a bonus also.

News / Duda invited to march in Poland's Independence Day parade [182]

BTW PM Kopacz's daughter has gone on record as saying she would leave the coutnry if PiS win the election.

This is her right. She has every reason to have such freedom.
I feel the same way if Hillary gets elected.
Hell I may even move to Poland to be with all the 'happy' people.

Travel / I'm so bored in Poland! [129]

I think the answer might be to go by myself

Now you're cooking girl.
Get a nice hotel room and don't even stay with your relatives.
Find a nice English speaking Polish boy for a tour guide and I am sure you would go home with a smile.

News / Should Poland exit the EU immediately? [377]

why you English can`t imagine that Poland choose to go its own way?

Crow I am starting to understand what you have for a long time been preaching here.
You are correct in my opinion.

if Poles wants to go out of EU and finally wants to do something for themselves and, for those who think similar to them, among countries on Baltic-Balkan-Ukraine line

Yes er'e, Poland would be with more their own culture, speak similar languages, have more of similar beliefs and above all done with prostituting to other countries, and having other countries telling Poland what they must do or have their allowance cut off.

I think Poland would be a lot happier being independent then belonging to the failing E.U.
Poland is the only pure country left in the E.U. yet Poles are being FORCED into something they see as a complete failure.

News / Should Poland exit the EU immediately? [377]

I'm thinking of joining an American website and telling them how they should live.
I wonder what the response will be.

As for you being a Brit most likely the same as the one you get here on a Polish website which is, "not much".

but I think it's also worth remembering that Poland is growing in confidence to reject such things.

They are very much so as in the recent majority of anti marches against the LBGTQ's and the majority anti - refugee marches.
Standing strong and united within will make Poland a strong country while the rest of the EU slowly falls apart.

If Poland exited the EU they would be over run with German, French and Brit's as refugees escaping their countries from cultural wars.
As of now Poland is the last pure country in Europe which makes it more appealing every day for a place to live in peace.

Law / Is it illegal in Poland / Schengen zone to transport refugees inside? [22]

I am not from Poland so I can't say what Poland should do and since you are not Polish delph neither should you.
Without saying, ANY county that catches someone that has illegally entered their country is automatically detained.
I am afraid there will be bloodshed in Hungry about the next time the invaders start yelling "f*ck you" and pushing past the police.

The army is now involved and are not as tolerant as the police.

Polonia / Let's talk about Sweden and other Scandinavian countries [236]

Just what America needs............another country to protect with American's blood and tax payers money.
And then to be spit on with ungratefulness.
Sweden's 200-year-old posture of military neutrality has been eroding amid European integration, and a perceived new threat from Russia has politicians now talking about abandoning it altogether and joining NATO.

"I think it's the combination of the perceived threat from Russia and a discussion about the armed forces' inability to carry out their tasks which leads to more Swedes being in favor of Swedish NATO membership," Ulf Bjereld, a political science professor at Gothenburg University, told Swedish Radio after the latest SOM Institute survey on Western military alignment.

After Swedish media gave broad coverage to rising pro-NATO sentiments, Russia's ambassador to Sweden, Viktor Tatarintsev, warned that Moscow might react militarily if Stockholm were to abandon neutrality and join the alliance.

News / Nazi gold train 'found in Poland' [90]

Spot on Z,
The story is starting to hit the news stands.
Poland's central bank governor Marek Belka said on Wednesday that the story of an alleged finding of a Nazi train in Poland that could contain jewels was in his opinion a hoax.

If this was in America people would be skeptical that it was just a cove up until the gold had been retrieved by the bad guys. lol

News / Nazi gold train 'found in Poland' [90]

People from Germany are now arriving to stake their claim.
No doubt a nice shot for the economy around Walbrzych.

WARSAW, Poland (AP) - Polish authorities have blocked off a wooded area near a railroad track after scores of treasure hunters swarmed southwest Poland looking for an alleged Nazi gold train.

The city of Walbrzych and its surrounding wooded hills are experiencing a gold rush after two men, a Pole and a German, informed authorities through their lawyers that they have found a Nazi train with armaments and valuables that reportedly went missing in the spring of 1945 while fleeing the Red Army.

Inspired by a local legend since World War II, people with metal detectors and ground-penetrating equipment are combing the area and its still-used railway tracks. Some of them have arrived from Germany.
